- Welcome to my review of the ZAP Dragonzord release, the Green Rangers Zord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This is our second release in this line after a mixed first showing with the Dino Megazord. Does this one make improvements? How does it compare to past versions such as Bandai's Legacy release? I dont collect these figures but there's just something super cool about them coming together into a mega zord

You're lucky your Dragonzord didn't break at the connector port for the power staff like powerrangertube's did.
I personally like the less articulated zords, an example is the Dino fury megazord where if the legs are posed the wrong way it just leans, I don’t want to worry about posing the arms in the wrong way.
Yeah some people just want too much articulation.
Wasn't that about $180?
And it feels like it will break in your hands simply transforming it? Wasn't transforming it one of the selling points?
It has less parts than a typical transformers. Just cannot understand the price.

or desperation resulting from poor decisions that were motivated by greed.
Hasbro's problems have been a long time in coming.
@@hammertronactionfigures2426 I was expecting a 100 at most. It;s no way twice that. This was priced before inflation really set in.
Hasbro is simply ensuring failure for all their lines.

The Hasbro executives and board of directors are violating their fiduciary duties to make the company more valuable for the shareholders...all of the shareholders.

For example, Power Rangers is a boys brand, made for a Red Ranger being the male leader....and of course they took that away.
Just another example of lowering their brand. Same as Disney, Warner and so on.
I dig the the molded textures in the Dragonzord and I like the chrome. I'm happy with the 1993 one I have so I'm not going to get this however once the Astro Megazord comes out that's going to be my first Zap purchase.

Lower price and better quality this would be a solid figure
Chest piece doesnt really blend together with the rest despite lookin good
I don't understand that mindset , most manufacturers have a set budget, paint, parts count, size, articulation factors. They all go into the price, inflation is another factor. Personally I think the zap line is worth the money and you can actually pose them. If you want "better quality" and "more heft" as people are proclaiming then you would pay 250 easy. Takara and their transformers masterpiece line which I collect charge the same price for a figure that has denser plastic and it's a quarter of the size with pretty much the same amount of paint, that chips on those. And features/accessories. At a quarter of the size. MPv3 Optimus prime is 350-400 and that figure is way smaller than the zap line. I have the zap Dino and astro megazord and I'm very impressed. Legacy megazords had a whole host of issues and you couldn't even pose them and they were already expensive before inflation. People seem to want everything for nothing nowadays

The price is the only problem. The Super7 looks like a value now.
I honestly think its an excellent figure, they should have released the zap dragon zord for 200 with the mammoth tiger and tricera and 100 for a nicer t-rex and ptera. Honestly am loving zords with transformer quality plastic and possibility, i wish we could get some 5mm transformers ports on these. but going foward it looks like the universe port will be the pegs used to connect legs/weapons, hopefully some zyu2 combos will come into existence

Guys, I have a question, does anyone know it the dragonzord from from Legacy mighty morphin (the black one specifically) is compatible from the black dinozord from Zord ascension project ?

It's not. They are completely different styles and have completely different connection systems.

As far as I know there hasn't even been rumors of those even existing yet. They haven't even made a regular titanus yet.
Probably is better qc than the soc Dragonzord. I went through two brand new sealed in box recently and both had the notorious cracked arm flap hinges right out of the box. Luckily I paid msrp.
The dragon zord has a round face in the show like the Legacy….the zap is more pointy and the chogokin is even more pointy

The Zord ascension project dragonzord looks shinier and looks better than the last one and I hope hasbro will release the Raptor Zords and Pacha Zord and the electro Dino key and some exclusive zords like Kishiryuzin from ryusoulger and some zords based on the boost keys
As overdesigned and overpriced as ZAP is, in the pure looks it trumps Legacy in so many ways. I do remember in your original Legacy review you had a hard time keeping the Dragonzord's legs folded in.

The fully combined version just simply wasn’t the best design. I don’t think any toy will ever be able to make the fully combined version look super good as the actual design on its own just looks like they had no idea how to combine dragon zord with the megazord other than just plopping it on top
Hasbro somehow managed to make something worse than Bandai of America, which I didn't think was possible
