Holy cow, I can't get a comment in to save my life. :) I was saying I picked up over 40 vintage Disney mugs, most still with tags and also filled up my Tahoe with seats down to the roof with box lots. Total spent... $26!!! I think I'm going to come out ok on this one!

This is a testimonial comment. I followed many of your tips for selling coffee mugs. I bought a used Digital Equipment Corporation coffee mug for .99 cents at a goodwill.
It sold on ebay about a day after I listed it and customer paid $22 plus $5.95 for shipping for a total of $27.95. This mug was rare and vintage but still your tips helped. Also, I bought around 30 total mugs from Goodwill and Savers for .99 cents to 1.99.
We shall see how I do with other 29 or so mugs I have in inventory now. Now I just need to get a good shipping technique for coffee mugs. Just wanted to let people know that you can make money selling used coffee mugs and your videos are not bullshit...lol

You are right. Like anything else you study an item type, become educated, and add it to your skill set. I don't pick up too many but I go out looking often so I have a lot. They sell slowly but steadily and the ROI is excellent so I am pleased.
I use buy it now. Auction is a real big gamble when selling this type of item. When it comes to mugs, a small group will pay a LOT for one. I just sold one for $30 and that's not bad at all on a $1 investment. TFW

The main issue with selling mugs(and used items in general) will be how often will you come across the valuable mugs? Most mugs you'll see at garage sales and goodwill stores will be worthless. So you may have to do some looking around for a while before coming across a valuable mug.
I don't know about that. I just went into Goodwill to look around and see what I could find. I didn't see any $100+ mugs though I did see a set of China worth that selling for $15. I actually bought a really pretty much for personal use and found out that it currently sells on eBay for $20. I also purchased a pair of marguerita glasses that are for $3 that I can easily sell on eBay for $20 plus shipping. And that was first day not even really knowing what I was looking for.
Most good ones will have a label unless they are antique. I don't really know much about the antique ones... but if they are freaky, kooky, or unusual they will most likely sell for $15-$20 shipped.
I'm not so sure. I have not tracked that. They sell consistently slowly but steadily throughout the year I would imagine.
Fun video about mugs, I don't come across many, but do find a few goods ones every once in awhile. I got then same rainbow mug and a boat load of Starbucks. I've never seen any fire king ones, very sad. Seen some get crazy money. TFS

Great video on the mugs. I have tons and haven't been able to move them. I think I need to set down and just list all my mugs and get them listed again. Maybe it was just bad timing the last time I listed them.

Very informative, I've been buying mugs like crazy lately, but I've yet to list them.. I have passed on so many of those damn restaurant mugs it's crazy. Guess I'll have to go back and get them.

Coffee mugs are always good. Even if you buy a loser you can get your money back.
I sell all of them on Ebay. I just picture them and say what they are. Pictures can tell great stories too!
