#IWillDominate #2021 #Championship #Season1 #Finals #FNC #AAA #CLG - Hry
The year was 2011. I was finishing my senior year of high school and me and my four best friends formed the League team OPMeta. We were unstoppable game changers. We spammed Poppy/Soraka bot and handily won every normals game that we queued. We entered one local tournament, got target banned, lost every game, and never attempted competitive League again. Memories
âI think in NA we didnât know freezing existedâ We still donât đ€Ł
There is nothing funnier than old Warwick's R animation.
I mean... Rengar getting one shot is pretty funny too
and the quarter screen range for his Q claw animation
Bruhhhh, the warwick ult had me rollingđđđ. Homie just teleports on people. Good times lol
đđno cap
just like yasuo
The complexity vs curse 80 minute game would be a fun one to see analyzed, but Dom probably doesn't want to rewatch that game
Curse vs Dignitas ARAM at MLG.
This is the content Iâve wanted to see from knowledgeable creators like Dom or LS for a while. covering the changing strategies in pro play and how players improved over the years, as well as the increasing skill gap between the west and east. Keep it up.
As a side note it would be cool to see videos on the story of each team that won worlds (or the most important ones) and the journey that got them there like assessing their play at multiple points through the year to see what made them world champion material
I don't think LS knows how the game worked back then. I think he joined in like season 3
@@cremlindor6607 not even. LS was like season 5 or 6. He was pretty late to scene by comparison to Dom. He had starcraft things to do lol.
@@Awesomeficationify Season 4 is what its in my head. I think he was living in the Samsung house while they won 2014 and started playing league there
@@pete5516 Check out Gbay99 content for that he pretty much got you covered in that department.
I died laughing⊠with this jg item you had a random chance to deal 500 damage to camps. So you either would one shot your camp or sit there forever and never finish your camps. I loved that item đđđ
I'm glad you did this. I really enjoyed watching your "Was it Turtle's Fault?" video.
I'm finding these re-visits to historical gameplay super fun to watch.
I was really hoping for stuff like this, canât wait to see more. This is the league content Iâve wanted the most
When s1 worlds had double elimination but s11 didnt đ€Ą
Yeah, I feel like we couldâve had an RNG EDG final if we had double elim
@@AtlasAdvice254 T1 DK
@@Ahmed.Hadjou đ€Ąđ€Ąđ€Ą
@@Ahmed.Hadjou I think RNG could beat any team outside of EDG tbh
Would be fire to have seen KT vs Fnatic in 2018.
Hey dom can you react to the time you got reverse swept by lmq or 2015 gauntlet vs c9 and explain what went wrong? Would love to hear it from someone who had actually played these games! Video#8
cant tell whether this is banter or not
@@jankastrup3593 Don't care i want to see it
@@jankastrup3593 good banter because it would actually be insightful for the viewers
I was a Crs fan back then and supported the Boy prodigy :(
Dom. Good on you for actually doing what your audience requests. The first video of yours I saw in 5+ years was the Doublelift Regi controversy video, then someone said, "I'd like to see him react to the game they were talking about in the car lol" and then you did it, and I watched that too and loved it, now this. I wish more people would take stock of what their audience wants to see. Good on you mate.
God I miss old league. This made me so happy as someone who has been playing since season one. Still playing but it just isn't the same.
Agree. It just have this nostalgic feel its crazy. Me and a couple of my friends played a lot of Twisted Treeline ranked teams. I miss that it was so fun. Wish they bring it back..
@@domagoj905 man I miss twisted treeline! I've been playing since season one and for real old league was really shit, but also really fun. Remember mana pots? So so broken, but hilarious
@@DiscoNick I remember both twisted tree lines. The one before the shrines and after. It was really fun to play.
@@xfightforlibertyx weren't the shrines like only added just before the game mode was deleted?
Holy crap what a trip down memory lane. I still remember eating cinnamon buns, drinking coffee and losing my mind that this was a thing that I could watch on the internet. These were the games that changed the next 4 years of my life and are definitely the reason I went to Korea. Amazing times.
Having a modern take at old league is so refreshing. Crazy how things have changed. More of this!
This is a genuinely great idea for content, love how you really go into the "meta" at the time
Say whatever you want, " Against All Authority " is still the best name ever.
they had some triple A games too, not gonna lie and then Soaz and Yellowstar going to FNC later on hehe
yeah back then fnatic sk aaa were the EU titans. Before Empire/Moscow 5. AAA wouldt dominate European scene but they would get bested by NA teams at every major for w/e reason.
I enjoyed the LAN circuit format so much more than the current season format. Past S5 i got bored of the current format. The Lan circuit was so damn hype.
This is actually a great idea, I'm genuinely curious how many people viewing this have actually seen this game before now
I remember pulling all nighters with a friend to watch this shit and being super thankful it was during Summer Break because the finals were on a fucking Monday.
Good times. Now I feel like the LoL equivalent of some old ass boomer despite still being in my 20s :|
Its very interesting how you can just look at cs and know who the good players were that would stay around for years to come
27:55 Janna at 43 mins has three heart of golds support really was a thankless role
This was genuinely exciting and fun to watch!
I really hope you do more of these Dominico
Really interesting to learn how league used to be before I started, thx for these great vids dom
i love this series. knowing the history of dom and league is pretty cool . And it gives u the opportunity to talk about ur accomplishment !
Yes! I wanted to see more of this and Dom coming through for us, goated.
This was awesome! Thanks for reviewing these games.
Love to see reviews of old league content. Give us more Dom!!
Ayo Dom, if you like making this content definitely keep it up! This is exactly the type of professional league content I've been wanting for a while
"It was insane to see CLG not perform"
That truly was a different era
Of expectations, but not results
Awesome to see Dom and his team listening to what the people want! These throwbacks are awesome!
What a trip down memory lane this was. Insane how far league has come! Thanks for making this Dom.
When you said about Eve being a meme I got flashbacks. My god do I not miss the days of Smite/revive Eve with the mastery taken to gain extra health after using revive...never should you have to die to be able to jungle. x-x
Love the content and backstories! Please more, also really took me down to memory lane.
Man watching some of these older games makes me remember that champs actually do get reworks lmao
Dude, this series you are starting is amazing!
Request/recommendation: If I may suggest a game, please do the xPeke Kassadin backdoor game. fnatic vs SK Gaming, IEM Katowice 2013 (I think).
Awesome content, can't wait for more :)
yeees
Kev1n still swears to this day that his olaf axe killed xpeke. XDD
Loving the throwback content Dom! Thanks!
love this content Dom, keep it coming!
Thanks for this content Dom, I really appreciate it.
You should review IPL 5 Moscow 5 vs WE. It had Misaya TF and it was the first game where I saw a macro diff and even noticed macro as the reason a team won
Seeing old swain brings back some heavy nostalgia...Talon and Swain were my first 2 mains...I wish there was like a legacy gamemode where you can play with the champs original kits...just for old times sake ya know...
Been loving these types of vids
Modern day League STILL looks like nonsensical chaos during teamfights sometimes but this was just next level. I PLAYED during this era, and I can't comprehend what's going on most of the time and these champions are ridiculously simple compared to the newer champions lol.
Absolutely down for more of this
Imagine 10 years from now where people will be looking back at S11 having the same reaction.
Dude I forgot how scuffed this game used to look. This brought back some memories tho... about coming home from school as a little shitter and playing AP Yi or some shit with my friends
Yo, I remember that thing lol. You either get the penta or you do nothing it was funny
fr fr bro, I miss the old days of league
bro old map had soul what are you talking about "scuffed" new map looks like a mobile game
Its wild that the mechanics in these games are basically on par with present day plat players, shit is wild. So cool to see how far the game has come
And how some things were good or on point but RIOT decided to turn to shit
I would love to hear your analysis of early M5.
This is like the eSports version of watching Vietnam War footage
DOM NEED TO MAKE MORE OF THESE
Can't wait for him to watch some legendary M5 games
React on season 2 championship tpa journey, i really like their story and how they got from being wildcard to winning entire tournament.
thanks for the memories . i actually was at this tournament with team gamed! . I was 14 at the time tho so i couldnt actually go to the tournamet and they had to replace me with zylor in the jungle :D after the tournament our team got screwed cause nyph and candy went to SK . i think kev1n too
So crazy how far the basics have come seeing both ADCs with 30 CS at 12 minutes with a no kill lane is hilarious, you wouldn't see that in iron these days.
Were you watching the same games? Ashe had 97 CS at 12 minutes, and Caitlyn had 105 in the first game. In the second, Corki already had 69 CS and Ashe had 88 at 11 minutes. In the third game, Corki had 52 CS and Caitlyn had 42 before 8 minutes. Tell me in which one you saw both ADCs with 30 CS at 12 minutes.
damn seeing the old champion avatars and skill icons etc again. And names like Lamia, Cyanide and Shushei...nostalgia is kicking in.
I love how Irelia has been broken for 11 seasons in a row
Yeah lol
wow didnât know lee was in season 1 worlds :o i remember they had an april fools champion spotlight with lee sin, but i know back then they released a champion every other week lol. when i first played league, karma was the champion that came out new. btw the final xpeke & cynide vs soaz & yellowstar xd
I remember MoMa was considered the goat anivia player before Froggen got into the scene, they had a short rivalry over who was better at the champ.
Also the Nidalee bans targeted at HotshotGG, considerrd best nidalee in the world at the time
Super entertaining but man I miss old swain. Champ was more fun then in my view compared to today.
6:49 nunu flashes in the jungle for no reason :)))
spectator bug
Loving the legacy content from ya Dom.
WOW! This Was super good! Unexpected good content!
Love your new videos about old league stuff.
im already excited about the insane series that will come like skt rox, g2 rng, kt ig, ssw ssb and a lot of memorable single games
Could you review IEM Hannover/K, which marked M5's dominance in the scene? Amazing moments and innovation happened there
I started playing post season 1. s1-s4 is the best year of league, I remember during those time role was not a thing which make it fun and exciting
I love how J4 kit is unchanged since season 1 and he is still viable and fun to play in both soloq and competitive
Really hyped for some M5 action analysis!!!
This new series is so gooooood! You should do a couple with Thorin bro!
What's also cool to me is that Riv was casting already back then and he casted League of Legends since Day 1 and did so for almost 10 years.
You used to start with 475 gold back then not 500 and Doran's Ring cost 450g so you couldn't buy a potion, which used to cost 35g. Sapphire crystal was 400g + 70g for the two pots though the point Dom was making about the different starting items is still true. This is how "Cloth 5" used to be a thing because cloth armour was 300g and the 5 potions came to exactly 175 gold (35 x 5) to make up the rest. It "Boots 3" and not 5 because as Dom correctly says boots cost 350g back then and not 300.
Gotta love watching gragas failing everything followed by 'that's some goat shit' haha it was dark times indeed
I would love to see a C9 old games throwback, call it: Time capsule
Just have old c9 pros talk about certain games.
Regardless of c9 i will watch every episode, this is dope!!
sees xPeke *
Sometimes, all I think about is you
Late nights in the middle of June
Heat waves been faking me out
Can't make you happier now
I love the casters just shouting "WOW" randomly
was waiting for the hotshotnidaleeGG kick lee singa in de ass. God damn the memories watching this fiesta. Or doublelift best blitzcrank, and full AP poppy.
There was one play I hope Dom can react to. I don't remember the name or tournament, but it was an Ezreal clip at maybe worlds(?) where an ADC was 2v1 and won, and got a triple kill, cause his ult sniped an Orianna on the map.
Do more of these!! I love this shit thanks dom đ
Would love to see a review of your series vs TIP, was one of the craziest sets in NA I remember
When are you coming with more legacy league vids? Loved them!
Bruhhhh, the warwick ult had me rolling. Homie just teleports on people. Good times lol
That was in the game for a really long time too. Luckily the ucker was useless for years, but then suddenly we had devourer and red smite, and he would just instagib you with it, one of the most toxic preseasons ever.
all the warwick players took some lessons from Guardsman Bob, the legend
I'm a year late but this legacy league idea is cool hope you do another round of it alot of fun to watch im sure its hard to find the older match vods so not sure if its worth your time but still. Fun stuff.
This is great keep it up
This was fucming AMAZING
Maybe the most entertaining thing about this video, is we all get to see that Gragas looks the exact same...
undoubtedly the best league content on the internet
I know I'm not good at the game. But as a plat I'm pretty sure I'm better than at least some of the players there and I love that. The constant evolution of play and understanding of the game that even noobs like me have nowadays, that makes this look like a bronze spectates video. Keep it up dom would love to see s2 and s3 too!
one of the best things ive seen
Would love to see dom analyze some of his own pro games
Correct me, if I am wrong, but back then, Riot didn't actually expect to have jungle as a role. The jungle was there as a catch-up option, if you fell behind in lane. That's why clearing the camps at level 1 was so insanely difficult...
But that was also the good old time, where you could pick Taric Yi Duo Top and not get flamed for it...
Huge improvement on casting as well over the seasons.
season 3 will and has always been the best season!
I feel like the absurd damage creep in the game now is a result of how much healing is in the game. The only way for burst champs to stay relevant is to one-shot. If they lower the healing I think they could lower the damage too
i joined in season 5 so i never knew about this legit super cool
Back then you could play a 'Revive' summoner spell as well, people would use it on Karthus just to ult more often.
Really enjoy these videos Dom great job, could you watch some Moscow 5 games too if you have free time? I feel like that is something good to watch too for nostalgia
I wish we had a season 2/3 version of league again :(
When the quality is set to 1080p60 but the video looks like 240p. Good times.
The melee Corki was ahead of its time.
legacy league is hype dom your a beast
League has it's enriched history. I remember the Moscow 5 and the connection to credit card fraud. They swept the competition pretty hard
