    I always got confused about "bought" pronunciation. it´s just one of those situations when we listen to it a lot but seems to go away but now with my high admiration for you I´ll keep it forever. Great lesson, you hit the nail on the head and made my day.
    Thanks a lot Jennifer.

    How to pronounce bundle them up if I drop th sound? Please and thank you. Bundle lem map is this pronunciation correct? I know the spelling is wrong. If it’s not convenient, you can make a video.

    • @tarlespeech
      @tarlespeech  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, you can drop it. Bun-dul-em-up.

    • @kainhall
      @kainhall Před 2 lety

      ya, you can do that.... a lot of people say little "phrases" like that
      but it would be "Bundle M up" ....... or "Bundle M app"
      .
      "Bundle M map" (or Bundle em map) would get a lot of looks from "native English" speakers
      .
      .
      .
      instead of lem (like the start of the word "lemmings")..... ya just want to say "em".....
      just the sound of the letter M (like, what you say when reciting the alphabet....like... J K L M)
      .
      .
      .
      .
      .
      .
      .
      example of other phrases people commonly "slur"
      .
      "lets get it done"
      turns into "lets get her done".
      but is said like "lets get er done"
      .
      if you listen REALLY close... you might hear some people say the H in "her"
      but its usually just sounds like a slight, breath-y, exhale
      .
      so it would be like.... "lets get (slight / small exhale sound) er done
      .
      .
      i say it like..........
      "lets get-er done" (no breath-y H sound.... and get-er is said as if it was one word)
      .
      so instead of "Lets get er done"....... with a "pause" between each word
      i just say "lets get-er done"...... no pauses between get and her..... (no pause in get-er)

    English is not my first language and I don't really understand the difference between these 2 words. Can I use these 2 words to describe that I purchased something? As an example:(Yesterday I brought a cupcake from the store or Yesterday I bought a cupcake from the store)

    • @tarlespeech
      @tarlespeech  Před 3 lety +1

      BROUGHT means bring or to take home
      BOUGHT means to buy.
      So you can say I bought (buy) a cupcake and brought (take home) it home for my Mom.
