- I bought a Squier Sonic Series Stratocaster a few months ago and I thought it was the best and cheapest guitar you could possibly buy. I've now decided to give it a bit of an upgrade and fill it with Gnarly Seymour Duncan invaders as well as giving it a bit of a make over.
What do you think to it? I think Tom DeLonge would be proud.

I'm also looking into getting the same squier model as you. And the same pick up!!! But I want just the white look with the white pick guard. Later down the like I'll probably put grover saddles and locking turners in it. I love this hobby so much!!! Also amazing work and you killed that song!!

@@MrLogMower oh niiice, i might change all the hardware one day, but for now i think its fine. Its definitely fun customising guitars like this. Hope yours turn out well 🤘🏼
I did this to my one, it's great, but the thing that bugged me, was the height of the action using the string through bridge. So I fitted a body through Hardtail. Give that a go, makes for a more comfortable setup. IMO

Sweet video man, I've done the same in the past. I put some Seymour Duncans in my LTD M-10 and it is incredible now, yes, the pickps are worth more than the guitar but yeah! The neck felt so good I had to juice it up! Awesome vid man , it looks and sounds awesome! Great upgrade! \m/
Thank you 🤘🏼 pick ups worth more than the guitar is what you want, it means you can throw the guitar around without a worry that it’ll break.

I got myself the black model of the same guitar as my 1st guitar
still havent got it due to lol I layaway it because I still dont have the money for it but goooood damn its really nice and beautiful, I have looked at some videos of upgrading it but so far, all the comments Ive seen said that the guitar is just good enough as it is

Honestly these squier sonic guitars are absolutely amazing for the price, I can’t recommend them enough. Once you do a little upgrade too, you cant go wrong
Melt some solder onto the tip of the iron and use a little bit of flux on the surface you are soldering to for a much better experience :)
A friend told me about this way afterwards, seems like a waaaaay better way to do it haha
I bought this guitar I ordered the same pickguard . Considering the invader as well , I got all black hardware tho . I’m really on the fence if I should have somebody do the work or I should try it myself . Where did you order the pickguard from . I ordered a custom one from warmoth ; waiting for it to come in the mail .
With a guitar this cheap I would honestly say, try it yourself, its a good way to learn and if you mess it up, its not too much of a big deal. Its always worth learning these things.

@@socialbender that is a pretty heafty upgrade to be fair. I’d say try it yourself to learn but if you don’t feel 100% confident then maybe get a guy to do it

Honestly i just went on Ebay and just looked for a squire sonic strat pickguard and that was it

I just got it from some seller on Ebay, so I don’t think its a specific brand
will you change the bridge and the tuning pegs ?
I thought about it, but the ones on there are good enough for now, i might change them in the future

@@Eri4Jp the tuners on there are good, upgrading them is very easy and cheap, so i definitely would do that if i was you
