Great SUV ,great interior , super engine.Now with the new Touareg I'm not sure if it's worth the extra price because the new Touareg has a great quality interior now .I'd buy it just for the great engine if I wanted it.Still great SUV ,great video,

For a porsche this muti strokes rim is always my favorite!
Is "auto braking" and "frontal collision prevention" features installed in this Cayenne S? In other CZcams videos, most Cayenne models have a huge camera on the front grill and an opening for radar sensor. These are missing in the model reviewed here. I thought all 2019 Cayenne has these must have basis safety equipment comes as standard.
the extra button in the luggage compartment is assigned to electric deployment and retraction of the tow bar
Thomas, that wind noise could be from one of the windows or the panoramic roof not being fully closed and slightly retracted. I had that happen to me in one of my SUV's. Just a suggestion.

Hi Thomas. I am hoping that this will be my next car.... after the Audi Q5 TDI. I like the form factor of Macan, but prefer the extra rear space for 2 bikes ( remove seat post & front tires) and luggage on road trips that the Cayenne offers. Informative & interesting review as always ... thank you.

Great review as always Tomas! Apologies if you commented in the video and I missed it. What are your thoughts on the Tiptronic in the Cayenne S vs PDK in the Panamera 4S?
well you dont feel too much of a difference as both does a great job. But as for durability, I always trust converter gearboxes a little more ;)
Autogefühl Fair enough. In your opinion, is it realistic to expect the PDK in a Panamera 4s to last 100000 km or more with regular driving and scheduled maintenance or am I rolling the dice? Can we take this offline? :)

I'm surprised no one mentioned how Porsche backstepped on the "Air Vents operated by touch screen only" feature in their new cars. I assume manual vent will come with the new Macan in the future as well. 👌🏾
Hi Thomas, do you have any idea when they will include the 3d surround view camera (like the q8) option? Also is there an option to fit a wifi charger for your phone in the center compartment? For me the worst thing is that Porsche is the only car company in the VW group that is not offering Andorid Auto as an option.

I've always thought that 4 exhaust pipes on the rear end of a vehicle is overkill, bordering on the absurd...
Finally the Cayenne looks just as good (if not better) than the Macan.
Much nicer now than previous Cayenne,

I test drove the base engine with sport chrono and air suspension today. I own the previous model base engine model. Which has been disappointing in performance.
There is a Massive difference in acceleration and smoothness of shifts. Thomas is quite right... no need for the S model any more. I feel the sport chrono is worth it in the base model now especially since it offers the 20 second burst button. Air suspension for me is a must have now.

Thomas, Great insight & presentation. Thanks. I'm debating between 2019 Cayenne & Macan S. With the Specs I built, it is coming out $85,000 & $80,000 USD respectively before registration & taxes. I like more roomy interior of Cayenne and agility of Macan. What SUV out of the two is more reliable and performs better according to you?

Test drove the basic model. can't help but feel the interior of new Cayenne is not as good as the second generation's.For example, the seats feel/look thinner and have less ample support than the previous. Good review though! :)

Perhaps this is not a very popular opinion, but honestly, for the price, I’d expect much more in regards to the interior quality. The readability of the gauges (the typeface is awful), the buttons, the general layout of the elements in the dash (what the hell, a button BEHIND the wheel!?), height of the main screen, looks very tacked-on and improvised IMO.
With Thomas standing nearby, the Cayenne looked more like a Makan :D
I agree...auto manufactures need to stop using the black, piano finish in their interior trim...it's not practical.
Could you guys go more in on the infotainment systems in the cars that you review, just some simple feedback.

Autogefühl mainly just a more detailed look on the infotainment system & the minor details (materials, compartments etc) like in the older autogefuhl vids.
Nice job. Please test the transmission next time. 8 speed torque converter vs pdk, shift speeds, skip shifts, manual mode smoothness etc. drive tested like a sports car, using the transmission aggressively would be nice.

Compared to the new generation Panamera, this new Cayenne seems remarkably boring and somewhat of a letdown. The new Panamera was a massive improvement over the previous gen, whereas I don't see any improvements here, other than the new infotainment system. Hopefully, the upcoming Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid will bring some excitement to the range.
I sort of agree with you. The exterior is really dull looking in my opinion. I quite like the interior though.
Tomas, what information car is giving on warning of yellow-oil sign at 6:48? What a kind of was the problem?
the engine check light is ALWAYS on in every single vehicle of the Volkswagen corporation brands when the ignition is turned on. This is to show that the light itself does work. As soon as you start the engine for real, the flash disappears. You only have a problem when the check engine light goes on when the engine is running :)

For exact acceleration, speed or spec, suggest see the Porsche online configurator. But with Thomas's videos, you get a really good idea how the car drives!
but you know.. German sometimes underrate their numbers while italian sometimes overrate their numbers... Factory claimed numbers are not reliable...
Great SUV with futuristics rear tail lamps, that also have a price tag coming with.
