I cant say that the French players of the 80s were better than those of the 90s and those of today, but I do believe that France of the 80s played better or prettier than the French champion of '98, the 2006 runner-up, the champion of 2018 and 2022 runner-up. This is said by someone who only watch France 80s in old records and that his favorite childhood player was Zidane and the 90s team.
