Cricos code has been changed recently by Latrobe University in Master of business information management and systems.

As your mother is not regarded as a member of your family unit according to immigration rules, she cannot obtain a 485 visa. However of course she could apply for a tourist visa when the boarders open again. Thanks for watching and supporting this channel

I am currently applying for 485 visa, however they are asking for end date of an ovhc cover, but as the visitor cover i have applied for is a monthly basis and generally for any ovhc they don't provide an end date,

If you have already completed your study in Australia then you can apply for 485 without bothering about what you studied and what you want to do. The only problem you will have is when you apply for skills assessments.

you should already have your PTE/IELTS score valid if you completed your degree recently as those scores are valid for 3 years. You require an overall score of at least 50 with a minimum score of 36 for each of the 4 parts in PTE.
Hey Karl, I've been doing some digging but I cannot find any specific examples of my case. I am an international student whom graduated with a master's just prior to the border closures. However, unfortunately I departed Australia for a 1 month holiday just before Covid hit, and resultingly became stuck overseas, and did not apply for the 485. As we know the borders remained shut for a long time; first the Australian borders, and then subsequently the Chinese borders. When the borders finally did open, I had ended up in a difficult financial situation and was unable to apply for the Visa, let alone return to AU. I've finally gotten to a spot where I can consider returning to AU, but suspect it's far too late. I know the basic requirements detail "within 6 months", however largely due to the border there was no other option. Is it possible that I could still be eligible for the 485, or would there be another reasonable visa option that I could go for? Could I ask for your advice on this?

I have a question, I live in Wollongong and I graduated recently, my student visa will be finished on 15th March, I took my PTE exam last week and I have not gotten the result back yet! is there any chance to attach other documents and when I get the PTE score back attach it later? Yuki the Grad dip is too low to use for the Post Study Work Stream of the 485 visa so if you exit with it you will need to use the Graduate stream of the 485 visa and apply for the preliminary skill assessment as well since it is on the 189 visa list. Hey Karl, Quick question about Visa 485, the Post-Study Work stream have obsevation about previous students that have applied for and been granted your first student visa on or before 5 November 2011 can't apply. But can't see this observation on Graduate Work stream. Is that means that I can gratuate with a Diploma as a CHEF (104 weeks study) and be elegible for a 485 Graduate Work stream? Right?!

Aprue the GWS of the 485 visa requires a positive skill assessment at least for the 485 visa purpose. It does not matter where the qualification is from to obtain that assessment as long as the course or courses done in Australia are closely related to your nominated occupation. It is considered only if you hold a student visa while that study is being undertaken. There is no percentage limit we are aware of of how much of the online can be used towards applying for the 485 visa.

However, me and my wife, we applied 10th September 2021 from offshore sc 485 visa post study work stream with including all documents e.g ( completion letter, transcript, AFP, overseas police certificate, OVHC, English proficiency certificate, form 1545 means how many units done from overseas, medical use previous one which one did student visa extension 12 months period time. But still no update regarding our 485 visa it’s really frustrated. By contrast, as new rules can we eligible three years duration instead of two years cause she did masters by coursework cricos course & could you please tell me something about my circumstances approximately how long it will take for our visa grant? You could have trouble if you don't apply for your graduate visa as it would be difficult to argue the next course is closely related to your nominated occupation. I just have one question, why would you wanna do that? my best guess is to claim points for study in a regional area afterwards. My advice for that is to enrol in face 2 face learning as govt can change the rules anytime.

Hi sir, during my study I extend my student visa and apply for extension visa from that day I am on bridging A visa. It’s been more then 1 year. In this mean time immigration ask me medical but I am unable to do medical due to lockdown and cancelled my medical appointment jut before 2 days of my appointment. During this period I finished my course but still holding bridging A visa. I heard I can’t apply 485 visa because I am on bridging A visa more then 6 months. Can you suggest me proper path. Will I be eligible for 485 in this circumstance.

what about those students not eligible for 485 visa after completing a master degree . ( first student visa granted before 2011). Had never applied 485 visa before.
