My grandmother had her leg amputated in the early 80s and she buried it in her future gravesite in my family's cemetery...she had a morbid sense of humor that I loved, she always used to say she already had one foot in the grave.
She sounds fun, I like her haha
Claritey lmao aw that's funny
Claritey That's hilarious.
Thanks. My grandma definitely had a unique personality. She was the one who explained death to me when I was only 3 or 4, she did it in a very no nonsense way and didn't sugarcoat any part of it but still managed to make it age appropriate, I've always highly respected her for that.
Claritey Hahaha your grandma sounds like she was a great person to be around!
I love how she switches accents when she gets expressive
Me three!
Yuuuup! The Midwest one cracks me up every time😂
I especially like the midwestern accent being a Wisconsin girl lol
And me, I love Caitlin, I like how she’s light hearted about something that we know we must all face
I love her attitude period. And, yes, the voices are hilarious! She's a hoot!
I come back to this video all the time just to listen to Caitlin’s hit single: “Car Alarm in My Video.”
Hilarious!
Me too!
😂😂😂
But, was it ever revealed after wich day it ended? Or is Caitlin still sitting in her living room tormented by that car-alarm?
@@robertnett9793 Judging by other videos I saw of her... the answer is yes.
"Around Christmas we tend to get busier" that's a really sad implication...
My coworker told me that more people tend to die around the holidays.
Many people commit suicide during the holidays because of depression.
@@ceciliag2929 Yes that's true too. My comment was more referring to people who are older and ill that pass away around that time of year.
In addition to suicides ... hazardous winter road conditions lead to collisions; icy walkways lead to slip & falls; below freezing temps kill the homeless and poor.
The holidays are like a perfect storm of death. It's flu season and everyone is gathering together spreading germs. Everyone is extremely stressed, eating terribly, and not exercising (see every New Year's Resolution ever). Anxiety and depression in the Winter is at an all time high from the aforementioned items as well as lower Vitamin D. I'm really curious if this is the same in the Southern Hemisphere. Do more people die around "The Holidays" there than in the Winter?
The thought of dying used to send me into panic attacks, but your channel has helped me accept and embrace the fact that life doesn't last forever. If you can be lighthearted and goofy, so can I!
Maevious97 same
Maevious97 Don't forget that the word funeral begins with FUN!
As some one great said ( i dont Really know who)life is Terminal...
One the contrary. Life/energy is eternal, but your shell is not 😊
I know, right? Watching these videos has made dying not seem as scary as I once thought.
My aunt had an accident that caused nerve damage so her arm was basically useless to her but there was nothing wrong with it. So when she decided to have it amputated for safety reasons, she asked them if there was anything useful they could do with it. She ended up being able to donate it to study which I think is pretty cool. It went to a medical college I think... I mean I know they'd prefer a full body but a free arm is still probably a fun educational tool.
She was able to do something fun with it!!
Wait half my comment disappeared!! I came here to say I fully appreciate your comment about her arm being "a fun educational tool"!!
I'm cackling!! And so glad she could so something fun with it
You give me answers to questions I never knew I had
Right ! ❤️
Good observation.
So if I had to get my leg amputated and kept it in my house and got that phantom itch I could still scratch it....Right? 😉
Christine Hussain from an amputee: I wish!
LMAO like minded!
As the daughter of a mother whos leg was amputed when I was barely 4 (almost 20 years ago), I feel the need to inform you it is NOT phantom "itch," it is throbbing pain, the feel of your limb there when you consciously know it isnt, you try to touch your leg to soothe it but...you cant. Narcotics dont always work, they vessels to travel through to reach the site, how can you use a pill to heal the stabbing pain in an ankle that no longer has any blood vessels cause it no longer exists? Hope you been educated.
Worth having a fake leg and keep it at hand. Scratching and massaging the leg can actually help bizarrely. Look into mirror box therapy.
That's a real leg-slapper!
There's a "grave" in my home town that's just someone's hands that got cut off. Texas is fun.
Will he/she/they reunite with their hand when their time is done, I wonder.
Alice Bouchard it's at our historical park. The owner of the hands is long dead. I don't know where the rest of him is though...
Vi Holiday is it known who he (or she) is and why he / she lost his / her hands?
Ciemna_Sikora I believe it was a mechanical incident, I'll try and find out more
following
I had a 4cm bone that was floating around in my leg and when they removed it I wasn’t allowed to take it home with me and I’m still sad about it tbh
I love how many people in the comments are amputees who are super disappointed they didn't get to keep their body parts 🤣
I had my bladder removed due to a very rare illness. I was dismayed they didn’t keep it for educational purposes, it was a college hospital after all.
Kira Marie I lost my finger and totally asked could I have the bones and the doctor said nope not an option it was medical toxic waste bio hazard I was bummed as it was MINE! Lol
I work as a dental nurse in Scotland & we are not allowed to return extracted teeth 🦷 even when they are baby teeth. I have had to explain to children that we give them to the tooth fairy & they should write her a note so she knows which pillow to leave the money under.
Did they really want to keep them? Is this a thing?
Can I get the “cremated remains” sticker without having cremated remains? I wanna send a box to a friend containing some fireplace ashes and a couple of chicken bones.
Priceless
Make one in photoshop or find someone to make one for you, then place the package in their mailbox. Best prank ever!
LMAOOO please get back to me with updated info 😂😂
No, it cannot be placed on the OUTSIDE of the box where visible if it's not cremated remains. You CAN send it as cremated remains (since they do send pet remains to people in mail) and still pull off the prank, but it's unwise to lie about what it is because if it should leak and spill out at plant or post office it will be treated as hazardous material and shut down plants or where ever it leaks out causing a big disruption to the mail processing. So, yes, you can send animal cremated remains EXPRESS mail only and have it marked such, and just leave a note in the box explaining what it is to the sender.
EDIT: I just realized you said fireplace ashes. So, in that case no. It's not something you can do unless it is actually cremated remains. Again, this would cause a huge issue at plants and facilities if they thought they WERE in fact cremated remains. It sounds like a fun prank in theory, but it's really a bad idea in case something happens and it leaks. Please don't do this.
You can we have some! From the post office!
My Mom really wanted her uterus back after her hysterectomy so she could have a burial for it and her fertility in a mourning ritual. She wanted more children but her uterus was detaching and causing menstrual cycles so heavy she was experiencing anemia. The hospital refused to give it back to her no matter how much she pushed. It really upset her. I can understand, I guess, why they wouldn't give it to her but it still seems kind of sad to me. She wanted "better" for her uterus than to be incinerated with the other medical waste.
I don't know why you can't get your organs back
my wife told the hospital that she wanted her uterus to use as a change purse.
I've seen 6 or 8 lined up at a pathologist's waiting to be examined. Never questioned what they did with them.
Having asked this same question of my surgeon the answer I got was basically: "in order to keep the incisions small we're going to cut your uterus into little tiny bits and then suck them out of you with a vacuum tube that feeds into the same bag as all the other blood waste from the surgery". I had to admit being handed back a bag of bloody protein shake was not nearly as interesting an idea as getting back a whole organ.
@@apples1290 Thinking about it that actually makes sense. I know surgery practices have changed but for some reason I thought they keep the organ more intact
"People dont die on a schedule"

Becka Unless you want them to... in which case.. you can arrange that pretty well.
Becka I read this comment the moment she said it in her video 😂
And you can arrange it VERY well in New Jersey.
Becka ICP The Dead Body Man (1994)
but if they could boy liverachie would not be due yet
7:38...Stay for the end...always stay for the end credits...and songs. 😂😂😂😂
When I had my finger amputated 7 years ago, I had the hospital put it in formalin and return it to me to be buried when I die.
10/10 would have listened to that car alarm song religiously in the 80's.
Oh hey! I just stumbled on your comment you seem really cool. Let's be ghoulfriends ;)
Drugs are a beautiful thing
lol no they're my partner and i happened to stumble on their comment :p
totally replayed the car alarm song
WHAT SONG IS SHE PARODYING THO AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Looking forward to buying "Car Alarm" on iTunes

@@T1G3R009 IT IS A THING AND I RECOGNISE IT AND ITS DRIVING ME INSANE
It's October 2019 and I'm rewatching this video again because this presentation never gets old and I want to support Caitlin in as many ways as possible (including buying more of her books).
I love how Caitlin explains about death and how they are taken care of. She tells the truth about it ALL.
Well, now I know if I ever have to lose a limb Im gonna ask for it back to be skeletonized, Its mine I wanna keep it.
Remember your corpse your choice.
Brandi S hopefully you never have to 😂
Coronaviryus. How should they dispose of the dead and what are the Chinese doing with them.
Yeah... I wish I had known. Lol
This as not a reply but a question.
The cemetery that my grandmother is buried in sued my grandfather to pay for her to be exhumed and moved because they buried her in the wrong spot. Yeah they didn't win that one.
I should think not....OMG that's atrocious!!! How could they even begin to think they would win that!!!!
This is pretty weird, but can you give an update to this?
I just love your channel as a former cemetery director, this is very good information for people to view. Most people have a "Hollywood" version of what funerals really are, and how they are handled. Kudos to you for giving folks the cold hard truth...pun intended.
my sister is an amputee, kinda bums me out we've missed the chance to turn her leg into something cool.....
They need to make a "Christmas Story" style leg lamp!!
@@crooker2 I was just thinking that same thing lol
"Day 17 of the car alarm...."
I died
I've dreamed of visiting Marilyn Monroe's grave since I was a small child. I know... how cliche of me, right? But a few weeks ago, I had a chance to do just that and it was seriously one of the most awe inspiring things I've ever done.
I regularly pass through Sherman, TX, and since visiting historic "cities of the dead" is something I do, occasionally I visit West Hill Cemetery, a great place to visit for those of us who like this kind of thing. My "ritual", as it were, is to pay a visit to the grave of Olive Ann Oatman (later Fairchild) before I leave. If you don't know who she was, think "Abducted by Native Americans" and "blue tattoo". Today, we're inconvenienced when the battery on our phone runs low, but here's a lady who saw her family butchered in front of her eyes, was treated as property by two different tribes, lost a sister who was also abducted, and then lived in the "middle world" between Western culture and Native American culture after being recovered. She had more balls than many guys do, and her story is inspiring.
This nice lady has an Elvira type thing going on.
She She does. Isn't it great? 👍
Elvira ripped off Vampira. I'm still fuming over that.
I had my foot amputated when I was 6..damn, I could’ve been an Instagram star by now.
"You're the video now" has me rolling 😂 Your sense of humor keeps me going. But on a serious note, I have extreme fear of death, so much just even thinking the word or if someone says something jokingly about death it triggers severe anxiety that often times I just choke back as to not "let it get to me", and your videos have helped me a lot. I think being educated about this stuff is important in helping me understand my fears and while they're hard to watch for me, I feel I've come a long way. So thank you!
Cassandra Plunkett You don’t have to fear death because Jesus died on the cross to pay your sin debt to bring you back to God🕊 John 11:25,26
Sandra Stanley he came back like 3 days later. He basically just gave up his weekend for our sins
@@sharkgirl5955 😂 I actually choked
Take comfort in knowing that so many have gone before you and will come after you. It’s not like you are the only one that has to do it. At least that gives me comfort in the sense that well if they did it, so can I, kinda thing.

That outro legit cracked me up. "You're the video now."
I just realized this is the third day in a row I have totally binged watch this channel. What has become of me? I guess that makes me a Deathling. And proud of it. Thanks Caitlin!
I kind of want that song as my ringtone now. (The car alarm one)
AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH I've been binging your videos all morning and I accidentally clicked to the homepage of youtube and found out there's a NEW VIDEO! WOO!
Was waiting for you to catch up.
Ask A Mortician OMG! You're amazing! I just how clearly and freely talk about this topic of death. You're really helping to deal with death. You're like a therapist to me. Thank you so much! Please visit Puerto Rico!!
Ask A Mortician hey Caitlin, I was wondering if you could make a video about your opinions on things like death penalties and euthanasia/physician-assisted-suicide. I would be very interesting to know your thoughts :) I just finished your first book and I can't wait for the next one ! You're awesome ❤
You are awesome! My brother Bobby passed away where he lived in Alaska. We had him cremated and sent home to Arizona. The postal lady was so gracious and sincere in her condolences.
Susan Plunkett so sorry for your loss we lost a co-worker and the same thing happened the people were so gracious he wanted to be buried in Hawaii from Alaska. Watching this Channel has helped me not be so afraid and then it's just the natural thing and not to be scared I hope you're healing goes well
Kelly Schittenhelm Thank you for your kind word's. I'm so sorry for the loss of your co-worker. We spend more time with the people we work with they become our second family. It's totally normal to grieve for them. It helps to talk about death and yes become less afraid.

That lamp would bring the dad from A Christmas Story to tears.
In Texas, I was told my amputated toe had to be collected by a funeral home, who could then release it to me. The hospital could not directly release it to me.
This woman is ridiculously pretty. I'm so envious!
yes she is
She makes me think, What if Elvira, Mistress of the Dark woke up to find she'd left the Valley, learned to suppress her Valley inflections(but could recall them at Any moment :) ), grew some nice bangs in her hair and had gone thru college in the Mortuary Arts at some point?
Who ....or Whom .....would she MOST resemble? Who? Whowhowhowho .....who? :D LOL
I think Betty Page was reincarnated as a mortician!
@@sharonsomers I like your view, too!! Bettie and the Bangs ❤
She's such a doll. Super smart and funny, too.
If you mail cremated remains make sure they are REALLY well wrapped. Seriously. Boxes sometimes break and suddenly grandma is all over the mailroom floor. While they do try and put things (ashes) back the truth is that it's very likely bits of grandma will be cleaned by the floor sweeper and tossed into the bins, so wrap that urn like it's the most fragile glass in the universe.
Troglodyte X Oh man, this just reminds me of the other day - I had a bunch of herb seedlings in planter boxes on my balcony, only to walk outside one morning to find all the planter boxes tipped over with the soil scattered everywhere and the seedlings totally decimated. I had to carefully scoop all the soil and any seeds or parts of seedlings I found on the ground back up into the planter boxes and hope for the best. In my case it was possums during the night, happening to my herb garden... I _really_ don't want the same thing happen to a loved one's ashes on an airport tarmac or inside a bus cargo =/ Bubble wrap for daaaayyyyssss!! Unless their last wish was to be swept up by council cleaners and end up scattered through landfill somewhere. In which case, oh yeah, go ahead and just chuck that urn on the ground in a subway station or whatever, hahaha 😂 I'd seriously hope that most people traveling with a box/urn/whatever or human ashes would keep that safe as carry on luggage rather than checked baggage, because we all know how rough and careless most baggage handlers are (I've had 5 very expensive things broken or otherwise ruined by careless baggage handlers just chucking my stuff around like an Eski full of rubber balls, unfortunately). If it matters to you a lot, either take it as carry on, put it in the overhead storage, keep it in your lap, or buy a seat specifically for it (like an antique cello or something might need that much space but not be suitable for checked baggage). Writing 'fragile, handle with care' on the outer box isn't a guarantee. Best to take the extra measures yourself

I've mailed cremation remains and had mourning jewelry created. It helped me through the grieving process immensely.
We were told post death the hospital still had one of my family member's body parts and they wanted to know if we wanted it or if they should treat it as medical waste. That was a fun time, that person had already been in the ground a few weeks.

THANK YOU I ONLY PUT OUT FIRE TRACKS. (not a cremation joke. stop making this a cremation joke.)
Ask A Mortician Hey A girl named Caroline Briar Rose sent you a facebook. Check it out.
Ask A Mortician. I had a relative who passed of smoke inhalation in a fire. He was not caught on fire, but looked sunburned the night of the accident due to the high heat. Family wanted an open casket but when it was opened his eyes and mouth were open as well and the casket had to be closed. He was embalmed even though they planned to have him cremated. One would think that the embalming would have kept him from drying out. How did this happen or should I say could this have been avoided by the funeral home? I thought that if a body is to be cremated that they weren't supposed to be embalmed. Meaning that they should have recommended a closed casket or had him in an urn in the first place for the service. Another possibility is that they were just trying their best to please the family (or get a few extra bucks) and it didn't work out. Why couldn't they keep his eyes and mouth closed?
Rachel Foley I'd just like to say I'm so sorry that this happened to you, that sounds horrible..
Jasper Stuart . Thank you. It was a difficult time, but I wouldn't call it horrible exactly. He got to see all of his children get married and got to spend time with his grandchildren. Something that I hope everyone has the opportunity to do.

this woman gets a foot but I cant have my wisdom teeth? rude
Kris F i didn't get to keep mine either!!!! i cant remember why they wouldn't let me have my wisdom teeth back, but i know i definitely asked and wasn't allowed to have them. i had some regular adult teeth extracted by my regular dentist and got to keep those, but the orthodontic surgeon who extracted my wisdom teeth wouldn't let me keep them afterwards for some reason. it is super rude. you'd think itd be easy and commonplace to just give some simple teeth back.
yes they just said they can't
also I just wanted to make some rad jewelry out of them
When I got mine pulled they gave them to me automatically along with some gauze. Maybe it's a regional regulations deal?
Kris F when I got my wisdom teeth out they had to destroy them in order to get them out so that may be why

I worked at a funeral home where a woman bought a mausoleum space & casket to entomb her amputated leg. She was Jewish & for religious reasons she could not allow her leg to be incinerated.
Glad you guys allow things like that to help people with religious needs. Like... a deathy version of a kosher restaurant.
Pearl Finney I had to go through the hospital incinerator to find an amputated limb,as a junior dr. It was for a Jewish man ) he'd insisted it was to be preserved so he was ' whole' at the time of his death, but someone chucked it. It was not a pleasant job for me...

I Love this beautiful Lady!!
I am 50 yrs old. I became a left leg amputee (disarticulant - through the knee) when I was 3 yrs old. I remember when I was maybe 6 or 7 I asked my grandmother (who was my legal guardian) what they did with my leg. I asked if they buried it. Whether my grandmother was not really certain on what they do with medical waste or she was trying to appease a young girls curiosity, she told me they buried it in a graveyard at the children's hospital. (I had not been back to the children's hospital in several years, and very likely not be going back.) The hospital was a fairly long trip. I asked if some day if we could go visit my leg grave. I also asked if when I died would they bury me with my leg. I imagined a huge grave yard of small little graves containing the amputated limbs of all the kids at the children's hospital (I was on a wing with nothing but children with some form of amputation). *For the record we never went to visit my leg, and I do not remember ever asking again.*
I knew nothing of cremation or any other 'end of life' practices other than burial in a casket. I still have images of a small limb graveyard LOL. I have decided I want to be cremated. I have already made my arrangements, paid for, and an advanced directive notarized. My siblings (basically my only family) are aware of my wishes. I often tell them if the go against my wishes I will haunt their days and nights. ROFL!
Where I live we cremate the limbs and bury them in the cemetary. No distinction on age of the amputee though.
Wait, there's an influx of bodies specifically around Christmas time? That's interesting, sad, and probably not as coincidental as I initially assumed.
I'm a nurse and we see an influx in deaths around Christmas every year. Can't really tell why though. And I'm not even talking suicides (which happen more often in the winter months), just people dying from their injuries and diseases.
Christmas time in an ICU sucks, I can tell you that much.
BestMeganEver 33 I read a theory that many people around Christmas will not say anything if they're feeling unwell or having chest pains ect because they don't want to ruin the holiday for their loved ones. Sometimes those little things they did not want to be a bother about turn out to be a bigger deal than they thought and as a result they die.
Another theory is good, old fashioned, will and stubbornness. I don't know how much control we have over the end of our lives but I have heard stories of very sick people "holding on" for one last Christmas with their families and passing away right after Christmas has passed (or sadly, falling barely short of their mark) I don't think these theories could be proven but they certainly make a logical sense.
Andrea X can I ask if you live in a colder climate? I can understand people get sick or car accidents due to road conditions in the areas where it gets traditionally colder, though it was surprising to hear that it happens in the warmer climates also, such as LA.
I'm familiar with visiting the ICU around the holidays, unfortunately. My mother has been in there twice around the holidays, for two different reasons. She's been fighting cancer the past 15 years and side effects from the chemo have landed her in there multiple times. But she's a trooper and pulled through. I don't wish that on anyone, especially around the holidays.
anny05 I have heard about the holding on for one final Christmas, birthday, someone's wedding, grand children, etc. Which is totally understandable human nature. But I hadn't thought of the not saying anything and powering through to not disrupt holiday plans. That's a very good interpretation of the human psyche. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
BestMeganEver 33
I currently live in Germany. Of course there are car accidents due to road conditions in the wintertime and elderly people and children are more prone to pneumonia. But I think the main reason there is an influx in deaths is that people really hold on and try to pull through over the holidays, as anny05 commented. Maybe the families of the patients are also more willing to take their loved ones off of life support after having one last Christmas together. Maybe they don't want to carry the suffering into a new year.
I am sorry you had to go through so much with your mother. Glad she pulled through and is doing better! She's a real trooper!
That video thing at the end had me whEEZING (very quotable as always, good job!)
There is no better ending to a CZcams video than this one. I laughed my ass off. This is the best YT channel EVERRRRR
Bodies in a flood. I lived I the middle of all the flooding 2 years ago in South Carolina. Don't know if you saw the preacher that waded into flood water to save a casket that had floated up out of a fresh grave and started floating away. What happens to bodies/caskets during flooding? Is this common for older graves like fresh graves?
charles0322mrsdani The ground over a fresh grave s not settled or compacted....there forei in a flood a coffin/casket may be expelled from the grave.
I live in South Carolina. I did hear about that though.
This happened during hurricane Katrina it was horrible.
charles0322mrsdani o
Back years before I was born, my uncle was among many who were tasked with trying to recover coffins from old & sometimes "lost" cemeteries, which had been flooded out from the Missouri River valley. He said there were skeletons everywhere among the broken & rotted pieces of coffins but thankfully, no fleshy corpses. Still, he said it gave him nightmares for a long while. He said that he thought that was why caskets came into fashion, so to speak.
I highly recommend to anybody interested in it to watch How to die in Oregon. Its about people who are terminally ill who want to die by doctor assisted suicide. It shows four different people who are terminal and there stories are so heartbreaking.
Addy Payne I've seen it several times, I suggest it to everyone I know.
Addy Payne I find it crazy you put down Sick animals but I watched my mom suffer for 6 years before she passed so sad that DWD is not everywhere
Kelly Schittenhelm I couldn't agree more, I'm sorry about your mom.

Melissa L thank you so much
Yessss! Completely bewildered my daughter when I got the notification and ran through the house excitedly yelling "My favorite mortician uploaded a video!" 😂
She's my favorite mortician too
I love how you handled the car alarm. Awesome!
I LOVE your personality & my morbid curiosity keeps me interested in your subjects! Who knew I'd have such an interest in corpses??
Not related to the video but when I was in nursing school and was working as a CNA, I had to "guard the body" at the hospice I was working at. Out of the blue, he corpse sat up. Sat freaking straight UP and I it scared me SO bad that i quit that day and have never worked in a hospice again lol I was never told that the nerves still work for a a bit after death and this can happen!
Crazy. Sexy. Cool OMG!! I would still be screaming inside my padded cell.
ahabtheplant that's exactly where I'm typing from lol
It's not actually nerves; just the chemestry that is now unregulated which moves the muscles. It's just rigor mortis setting in. A lot of variables play in to how the process goes for any given body, but to one extent or another every corpse goes through it.
MrJest2 omg I meant muscles not nerves, thank u for correcting me. That moment still haunts me especially the knowledge I have now that I've had four years of nursing school and ten years as a nurse. A body's enter of gravity would make it to where the legs would come up first and I didn't see that. Also, when there is muscle movement, small muscles move not large ones. It was so creepy and very strange.
Dealing with corpses is kinda weird. One of my co-workers in the hospital had to take a body down to the morgue one day. He was a very bright and educated fellow, in pre-med, from Sierra Leon. Our elevators were crap, and the one he was using broke down trapping him inside with the dead body. Nothing really happened other than he had to wait about an hour for maintenance to get the stupid thing running again... but he told me later all he could think about was his grandmother's tales of the dead and spirits, and he found himself snugging into the corner of the elevator car and shoving the gurney into the opposite corner, shuddering in irrational fear. If it had gone into full contraction like that while stuck there, he would have completely freaked out. He felt kinda stupid about it later, but it's apparently just part of being human. :-)
Lol That car alarm song though.
ive being binge watching your videos for days now and i cant stopppp
I really enjoy your videos I've learned a lot please keep on making them Thank you!!
Omg you are hysterical...watched your video during work and I couldn't keep from chuckling out loud from watching your car alarm song and dance!!! You're awesome!!!
I did exactly the same thing haha
My favorite celebrity grave was Douglas Adams. Plot 42, in a stunning cemetery.
Highgate East, but in square 74, plot 52377 according to find a grave. Plot42 would have been perfect but I’m glad our he came home for his final resting place.
I hear he was mostly harmless.
Who?

First comment, long time subscriber. I found your channel whilst looking up cremation info videos after I broke my foot and was bored to....death ☠️. (My mom and dad were both cremated when I was 15) always wondered about it. And your little face popped up and I binged watched your videos. I know so much more now than ever. I bought your book. It actually gave me some closure. Thanks for opening eyes. I just turned 30 and am inevitably on my way to the grave. I appreciate all you do. 👍🏻

Okay so I'm listening to this while building a fence, and I had to stop to walk across the yard to immediately follow the skeletonized foot. That's amazing!
I recently visited a monastery in Lisbon which has two graves/tombs of two pretty famous people in my country. One was a poet/writer that gave us "Os Lusiadas"("The Lusiads", very good epic poem) and the other was an explorer who discovered the sea route to India. Pretty damn good. Their tombs are quite beatutifully carved, with a lot of details.
One of my first internship as a lab tech was in a very old medical research facility. The right of passage for everybody was to get something from the storage cupboard ( where really all our supplies were). There was also a foot in Formalin in there. Nobody knew where it came from or how old it was but it was quite hilarious.
I have been living in Oklahoma City for almost 19 yrs and never heard of this woman who kept her foot.... Need to find her Instagram now
Cathleen Walker I’ve been here for my 66 years but never heard of it.
I discovered your channel by recommendation of some random stranger, in a fb group. I'm glad I did 😁 I love your content! Your stories are just fascinating. I also love the humor you throw in.
