I agree on the 279e and Chieftain. The Cobra is strong, but not broken strong.
Clipper meta isn’t healthy, but a TD with it isn’t. It’s much better than a tank that just makes the game boring and worthless. I mean, armor is just stupid in meta.
WT auf E 100 nerfed would work now with the current tanks in the game. It’s very punishing like TVP, really unfair, but isn’t stupid. It’s pretty easy to counter it.

i used to play when these where everywhere and i loved playing my E100 against them, one HE shot to the turret would kill half the crew and break the gun
Dude, today there are so many autoloaders in the game not mentioning the intuition HE switch. The WT really falls apart in most situations. Completely different tank compared to 2014. "Most toxic tank" is just a clickbait.
Not even close to being the most toxic. 279e, Chieftain, wheeled clown cars, pre-nerf Obj 268 v4 and mapclickers (especially that LeF thing) are way more toxic.

Lefefefe is bad, but it is nothing in comparison to old-time artillery. One shotting tier 10 heavies, and no limit of how many of them there were per team. I still remember tier 8-10 matches filled with only arty and one or two scouts per team.
The most vivid memory I have of this tank is when I hit it in the turret for 900 damage, with the T49, on Prokorovka. Scary to attack an area when it was hidden but free XP once spotted.
A truly broken tank but in today's meta it would have the same effect as a Foch B: nobody would complain about it anymore.
Foch B doesnt have a turret though. A turret gives much more flexibility. Think about it. People may complain about it. (I wont though)

My vivid memory was on a test server in the airfield map, I was on an obj 261 firing at a waffle and hitting the gunshield for full HP, This was almost 9 years ago.

I feel like with power creep, this vehicle has slowly becoming more balanced over time and at some point, this vehicles performance will be the standard.
For a tier 10, i dont think its that toxic because it can be killed so easily. The op russian tanks, like the 279e and the british chieftain are more toxic. Will eb even after the "nerf".
The only op russian tank is the obj. 279e, all the others are mediocre at best.

Did you play against the Waffenträger back in the days? It was game breaking broken. Games like the one in the video was common. It can shut down a full health heavy that's considered broken without much problems

@@kripperinoobviousino6019 I played as and against the WtE100 since it was first released. I know the original state perfectly. Not as game breaking as other tanks even back then, simply because it can be killed that easily.
At least you can counter play this tank when its reloading, this feels much mire fair then a cobra 279e or chieftain

I like the idea of the Wauf E100 sort of being the yearly bogyman tank. Its like a villain you have to defeat in the game.
Seems like WG should have just made this rental function as a regular reward vehicle so that people can just put their German TD crews in it without needing to retrain.
Gameplay against the WT auf E100 was very fun I remember. As soon as it had shot most of its shots my team suddenly pushed super hard while it reloaded, I even wrote in Chat: "WT reloading Gogogo!" I had such a blast in those matches, truly memorable and hard open fights because a reloaded WT is something nobody wants. Back then players specifically played the T10 British arty to hit WT's for 1,8k HE DMG or even One shot them over buildings even in Himmelsdorf or Ensk. It was such a fiesta. WT auf E100 was extremely map dependent some maps sucked while others were a godsent. Ruinberg was a rly good map for WT's. Maps with 0 cover like malinovka or prokhorovka were a trip back to the garage if the enemy scout had a brain and arty was in the match. Honestly looking back at it, WoT was fun back then, even if it was frustrating at times. The situations that happened were just sooo cool. Nowadays everything is so watered down. The FV's T10 British TD's are the last remnants of what WoT was back then.
I agree. Even though the Matchmaking was way more unbalanced and getting oneshot or nearly oneshot by artys wasnt fun, overall I think I had way more fun back then. Probably the reason I stopped playing for good about a year ago.
@@MrCleman1 Same. Recently wanted to try out WoT since it's last good patch. But more than 100GB for the HD Client were too much for my current hard drives. Not getting a new one just for WoT maybe in the future. I liked Steel Hunter and some Frontline but normal battles just weren't for me anymore. Small map sizes are too limiting for faster not heavy Tanks.
One thing you forgot, is that your gun in the WT is magnetig to HE shells. And no i dont mean its vulnerable, i mean that the gun catches HE rounds so often if your shootinv at it

Today it gives so many other maps and tanks that just make this wte100 just a big pinata...EBRs, Artys splashs and stuns, Hulldown heavies and toxic like chieftains or 279e, idk if this tank still toxic.
Yes in the right scenario its strong but its problem of enemies if they going one by one on him haha obj 704 had for example to go with pta or skoda in the same time from different sides, thats all, nobody think about to rush him in the battle
personally this tank could come back forever in random battles, people just thinking it still op, but sorry dudes, these dream scenarios are not every battle !

Those OP rewards tank has been nerfed. The only good things about both chief and 279e is their armor. Their firepower has been re-balanced. WT E100 ? Maybe a big HP pool. But just like other big TD tank, they are best suited in Town Battle than on open-field battle.

@@shadowzone2588 you had to understand the time investment and dedication in getting this thing tho. Plus, this tank can perform superior only it's one respective field. A hulldown, or facehugging. If it's being penned by high pen gold. Both with still melt

@@no1washerezz I agree, but with the recent nerf, a chief tanker now had to aim carefully with their gold pen since it's weakened. With the mobility being toned down a bit but the armor n HP are still the same, it will perform just a touchdown unlike previous update
With maps slowly morphing into corridor maps, the waffle is running out of places where it’s not vulnerable especially with bad camo, since it has to rely on red lining the tank alot.

In the Wafflecooker, I either do 7 or 8k damage, or just get spammed with HE and arty at the start, and die doing 0 damage 😂
Yeah there’s no middle, you either get chad rates of damage in one game or you get oopsie poopsie by everybody else in another.
Considering that this tank has non existent camo, no armor and takes almost 1 min to fully reload, by the time you shoot the 2nd/3rd clip you are either dead from arty or spammed by all enemies around you using HE, so I don't think it's worse to face one of this compared to the cobra/279 e
Want to know how toxic this tank was back in the day?
Hidden village map, it takes so long for first spots in Arty dangerous zones to come in (aiming into the city at the start is more often than not a waste of time for the first 3 or 4 minutes due to everything blocking Arty shots, while the hill leading to the high ground even causes medium tanks to spend about a minute to reach the brawling sector) that I would often aim the hill leading up from the enemy spawn and hold the mouse key down to fire the moment my first shell is loaded and still be reloaded before the first brawlers up on the hill started lighting each other up. In a few cases, this has resulted in a dead Waffle E100 less than a minute into the match, without ever being spotted.
The ENEMY team would cheer this outcome in all chat.

Well back in the day Arty is being as Toxic NGL. Because back in the day, Arty can delete you in a single shot from any range. Atleast, WT Auf E100 have limit on sight than Arty. Back then I found Arty more annoying than WT Auf E100.

Many Waffle players who posted to the forums complaining about getting one-shotted by artillery would get downvoted into oblivion, and a few Arty players learned that you could use waffle one-shot compilations to farm the forums for upvotes to crawl out of the red. The main issue was how reliably it could severely punish a player over making a minor mistake, or even just doing what they are supposed to be doing, and how little skill it takes for a player in it to exact such punishment with a fair degree of consistency. Player skill mostly comes into play in actually surviving long enough to do it more than twice in a game. An endgame Waffle with most of its health remaining also left very little room for counterplay in many endgame scenarios. Artillery in contrast, suffered from severe issues in achieving consistent performance out of their gun due to their gun dispersion and the ranges involved. Artillery has no skill floor, and can exact a devastating toll, but only a few could do so with any measure of reliability.
I personally felt at the time that Arty was a broken class (even though I mained it, I openly expressed the need for reworking the class and even threw together a pages long proposal I had posted to the forums prior to patch 9.18) but that only four artillery were ever as or more broken than the Waffle… the FV304, Conqueror Gun Carriage, 105 leFH18B2, and the M44… maybe the Bugged M53/55 too that stayed on the servers for about a month.
@@Zeknif1 Yes, WT Auf E100 might be literally extremely toxic vehicle to fight in late game due to its health and its capabilities. I just seeing that Arty be the one who can kill you anywhere in the map is more annoying to deal with. Atleast you can avoid WT sight lines while Arty you literally have to pray not targeting you 90% of the time.

I loved outplaying the WT E-100 on my VK2801 with the 10,5cm HE gun back in the days.
@Quickybaby, just like with any rental tank, if you put any equipment on, you'll need to pay to have it removed once the rental period is over.
If they remove a rental from your garage they demount it for free, sort of like they do if you trade a tank in during their exchange. Was kind of a dumb question on his part, obviously the equipment doesn't just disappear.
i liked the tank wish they would bring it back in game. You got op russian tanks that take forever to get nerfed but yet they take out this tank out of the game.
To be honest the Bourrasque and the Progetto are ten times more toxic than this at least the Waffentrager is slow and doesn't have camo.
This Tanks is more than fine in the Current Game i wouldnt mind it beeing in the Game again full time

This is still avaliable on console in the tech tree, but they made it have a substantially higher experience cost to unlock compared to the grille15

Was playing in Prokhorovka encounter yesterday, was me and 2 tanks alive, against 5 enemies - they capping, and me on the hill sniping with a Object 268. One by one, they come and get shot.
And the, crossing the field, saw one of these, with 70% of the health remaining, going full forward to interrupt the capping, certain that will take at least one of the tanks.
Shot him, a high roll (800 dmg) and...the thing cought fire, and he was probably using food. Burn all the health.
Was beautiful.
As far as I'm concerned, the most toxic tanks in the game are the French wheeled tanks, especially the Premium EBR and the Tier X. And the funny thing is - you have them in literally every match these days.

I haven't played this game in over a year and the only tier 10s I have are E100 and IS-7. I want to get into TD's more but the only one I seem to have real luck with is STRV and sniping from decent range and camo
I will never forget the clip of the legendary Circonflexes doing a full HE clip on this monster and getting something like 6k damage out of it.
This thing was a horror and it will allways be a horror.
And thats why I love it.
I don't play wot PC anymore but i had that tank before it got replaced by the grille 15 on the tech tree. If I remember correctly you had a 6x560 dmg clip and a 4x750 dmg clip as option. I started grinding the line after i saw one killing 2 full life lower tier heavies in a single clip. Jesus that thing was broken.

I wish I could have experienced this tank when it was at its full potential. Around the time it was removed, I was on the St. Emil and about to get the Borsig.

oof bruv you have no idea , it had 420 viewrange/ 2200 hp and the hull armor of an e100, even it today's standards thats completely absurd, imagine how broken it was back then when is7 was top 3 heavy tanks

It's not a toxic tank, it epitomizes glass cannon. It's still on the console version of WOT and is regularly stomped. Go hull down and chuck HE at it.

I was already in WoT when this tank was introduced, it was OP but I think it's far from being the most toxic tank. I prefer playing against this tank rather than Chieftain, 279(e), BZ-176, Bourrasque or ELC Even 90. The gun is powerful but with no armor or camo, big reload time and not a great mobility it's a glass canon who can be quickly sent to the garage. It's not an unkillable heavy, an invisible spotter or medium who can do everything.
Strangely, the WTE100 is the only one I've talked in this comment who was a tech tree vehicle...
I loved my Waffletractor back in the day with the derp gun and HE.
I feel like it’s not that different from an FV4005 or FV 215b 183, in the sense that sure it can kill entire tanks very fast but it’s not that accurate, has a mega long reload, and can be entirely farmed by HE shells
toxic is abit over the top the old unnerfed version was amazing i miss it to this day
According to the article, any XP you accumulate gets dumped on the MS-1 tank at the end of the rental, and you can convert it later.

People complain about all the autoloaders, then slap on their nostalgia glasses and think this is fine to put back in.
If somebody think, that WT is the most toxic tanks ever, he don' t know many thing about game. It was the first, but no last and no the most. I write about version before it was deleted, so with 6x560 and better mobility. Before WT is T-22 SR med., so often not penetrable tanks in 2015/2016, before the largest nerf in history of game. T-22 is not playable/weak tank now, but was OP many years ago.
Meanwhile they have the Amx Foch B. It’s just as wicked. You know they’re gonna bring it back and sell it.

Definitely have seen them consistently in the field but not overwhelming. I’ve been having fun farming them with my Foch 155.
It’s balanced on the console version so I’m curious as to why they couldn’t balance it for the pc version
I wouldnt mind for the wt e100 to return it doesnt fit the meta and HE to the head cripples it so badly
I'd much rather face this tank, than any of the invincible turret meta tanks or the Object 279, you can actually kill this thing.

I’d say that anyone struggling to complete the first campaign final med tank missions should start specifically trying to complete it now. Idk about anyone else, but I always struggle to get enough tds in my match’s to complete the obj260 med15.

Anyone who is going on about how “X” is worse than this vehicle has either never faced one, or totally forgets what it was like to play against them when they were in their prime.
Last year system was different I remember and I had got 40 battle-chances with this tank. I spent golds etc to drag Max Von Krieger himself with some talented crew. My plan was playing with this tank at the last week of december. But one day I realised playing chance was gone!
So my question is when is the expire date to playing with this tank? Btw in my opinion this tank should be on game somehow! Foch 155 3 magazine 750 right? So they could be this tank 4 magazine 600sh something if they have to nerf it.
i was against one every match, but using the Minotauro with the HE, i deleted them before they could even do anything. yes, they have 2 seconds per shell and 5 shells, but they also have no armor to withstand anything, and the 130mm of pen on the HE of the Minotauro and around 700 or so average damage with those shells, 4 shells and it is gone, max 5 which is the entire clip. the best way to outplay them is HE and good positions. most of the time, they will rush forward, get out the shells then fall back. regardless, in the Minotauro, i can go hulldown and erase them slowly but VERY effectively, while they can barely pen my turret at all, even with gold. it would do no harm having it back in the game again except they should not allow full platoons of those things, only 1 per platoon, just like with Arty.
I remember shooting these with HE from the Jg Pz E100 for 1400 lol

BZ-176 remains the most toxic tank ever made. It is the essence of the PZ V/IV, the Lefh, the FCM Pak, and the Pz IIJ all moved up to tier 8.

I miss my waffle never once complained about this tank. I was pissed when they took it away from us.
I understand why they had to do something, it had 6 jagdtiger shots in a clip with a turret, 2 sec between the shots and is very accurate. I also think it had an alternative gun if i remember right, a 750 alpha gun with 4 shots. But i think they just could have nerfed and kept it instead of replacing it with the Grille 15. Grille feels kinda boring compared to the waffle. I wonder how Halloween events would be now if they never removed the waffle, lol

What I find funny is that getting done in in a single clip is something that is normal for lower tiers.
I guess the Foch is even more toxic then. Lol its actually got some armor, and kills tanks in one mag too, and actually has some camo

This tank won't affect the meta in this day and age. Only good players would know how to use it. We literally have a tank that shoots HE with high dpm and pen. And using HE against this is the go to...even though HE was nerfed.

Last year i retrain my German td crew to the wtf e100 and forgot about retraining it back to their original tank. Now i can't retain them to the Jageroo line because they are "considered" as a special crew for the waffle -_-

I don't get the fuss about this nerfed version of the Wafflecooker, the Foch b can do the same levels of damage, but has camo, armour and speed, much better imo.
They have had this tank on console for the longest time and it hasn’t been bad to go against. It does only have 4 shells tho.

At least you weren't on console back in the day. We had 5 man platoons of them, and the console devs don't have a clue about balancing tanks.

I put in bounty equipment, played 39 rentals, demounted the bounty equipment and replaced it with standard, played my last rental and was able to demount it with zero remaining games.
