One of the weekly Sunday journeys from Chennai to Coimbatore. This was my most convenient train to get to Podanur from Chennai as it helped me sleep peacefully and get ready for work on Monday morning.

Yes nowadays huge traffic in Katpadi junction... By average One train in each 15 minutes during day time... And 1 train in each 5 minutes during ngt time.. Railway department should consider this and expand KPD junction track lanes.
Railway authorities had completely forgotten that Katpadi Junction is the serving station for Huge Vellore City.
12:36 12695 MAS-TVC SF daily waiting at outer to enter KPD platform after departure of 12697 MAS-TVC Weekly SF (Sunday). Two trains to TVC in a span of 15 mins is still confusing many travellers at KPD. During my regular travel in 12697, at KPD, many travellers used to board thinking it as 12695, create melee and then hop off the train.
Yes because of Christian Medical College Hospital, Vellore. Mostly all sisters of CMC Vellore r 4m Kerala.
Plus patients also who can't afford medical expenses.
12697 runs only on Sundays
