@@gamingsneaky9835 I saw some CZcams videos which explained it. The diesel is used to run an electric generator which produces AC which is converted into DC which runs an DC electric motor which pulls the train. The DC motor has much higher torque.
So miss the EMD Rajdhanis at Kelve Road....😥

I worked on the UK railway in 1966/7/8. I time one of these diesels from the moment you could recognise it to when it arrived. It was a straight track into the distance. It took 7 secs.
Everything looks very well maintained. India shows its pride.

So finally, I miss a lot of WDM 2😔 the legend of all indian locomotive. It made 2000 units during running time any locomotive not make these type of units still. And, also I miss WDP 4 locomotive because it was the 1st locomotive who achieved 200 kmph🔥🔥 speed during the time of Telgo trial But, it's also stop because have only 1 cab 😔🙏

During 1965s,I remember having traveled long distance trains running on Steam Loco.
Dedicated Loco drivers were throwing coals into Furnace at high speed.
Trains were running at very high speed.
I guess more than 120 km per hours
Those were the days.
During 1965 ,I after high school traveled through steam Loco running trains.

Two odd man outs are Tebhaga exp and Kanchan Kanya and both are ER five stars. Otherwise few of these D loco heroes already replaced by E locos as KR is full of E loco since 25/9 . Excited by horn sounds by alco experts. thanks

Nice video Pritam. Train doing 130, doors are open, and passengers sitting at the edge of death 2:05, 2:12, actually throughout the video. What a rush.
On the platform side too! They'd be mangled remains and also cause danger to those behind in the compartments. All it takes is a slip, a small nudge or wobble.
The dudes at 2:12 sitting nonchalantly, particularly the one in red-T who almost leers over the edge of the coach.
