The West Coast Express is a daily train connecting the city of Chennai, in Tamil Nadu, with the port city of Mangalore in Karnataka via Palakkad Junction. It is one of the trains connecting the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea and the oldest train.
The name traces to the location of Mangalore which is on the western coast of India. It is one of the oldest trains and also provides a day-time connectivity to Palakkad from Chennai.
The train shares its rake with the Chennai Mangalore Mail which also traverses the same route.
In 2014 Ministry of Indian Railways Announced the Service Type of West Coast Express as Superfast. The Train Numbers were Changed from 16627/16628 to 22637/22638.

You have missed to show train entering and exiting Erode jn. It is one of the major junctions in India where loco changes from Electric to diesel and vice versa, watering, catering, direction reversal for Karur / Trichy /Madurai bound trains, etc happens. Many long distance trains have a 20 minute halt at Erode jn. So how can you miss to capture all these activities?
Also trains make a smooth curving before and after exiting Erode jn. You can capture the diesel loco shed on the left side, goods yard with different classes of electric and diesel locos standing in idle condition, electric loco shed and finally Cauvery river Bridge.
Always love Erode shed locomotives. Once Erode shed housed the largest fleet of WAP 4 in India.

West Coast, Mangalore mail, Mangalore SF exp, and other Mangalore bound trains had loco change from electric to diesel at Erode jn until 2016/17. Later loco change was done at Shoranur jn until complete electrification of Mangalore line.
Those are really wonderful memories. So sad that we cannot see any diesel action at Erode jn very soon.

Ok. You must be right.
In 2017 or 2018 I read in a newspaper that Mangalore - Shoranur line got fully electric traction.
I forgot it. Because I was frequently visiting Erode jn some 10 or 12 years ago. At that time it was purely ICF/WAP 4/sometimes WAM 4/WDM 3D, 3A and other alco diesel locomotive era. Those days will never come again. Missing those ICF coaches and classical locomotives. 😥
But nowadays I rarely travel by train.

Hai bro you skip more railway stations like that bommidi and Morappur are two major railway station for dharmapuri district.and this train stopped in both railway station..but you are not showing.because some people's know about the stoppages
