When Adam Blythe announced that he would be a brand ambassador for Genesis earlier this year, people were already excited to see what bike he might be riding - and more specifically, what colour.
It was never going to be a boring stealth build, but the bright orange peel stunned everyone and looks brilliant out on the trails.
Realised brilliantly by Colourburn Studios, the bike was assembled at Genesis HQ by brand manager Nick, before Adam took the bike for its first ride in the Peak District, close to his family home.

Having just built a gravel bike myself I realize that the dreamiest part about this build is that they were able to get all the parts, no problem! That's how I knew that I was in fact dreaming.

OMG. I want a gravel bike to replace my cyclo-cross bike which still has rim brakes and I think I've just found it. The paint work, the build with the Shimano gravel components is something else. Fantastic video, thanks for keeping us entertained during lockdown 😀

Very Nice. I have a Genesis Croix De Fer (2014).
Given a couple of minor upgrades (Brookes B17 saddle and padded Specialized handlebar tape) it's a total joy to own and ride.
30-40 miles a day during Lockdown. It's kept me sane.
Having said that, and having seen this, I feel another Genesis bike-purchase may be imminent !
A real masterpiece here! What an attention to detail on that paint job with the sometimes micro masking details! The whole video is a joy to watch, I'm slightly jealous by the way 😀

Carbon fiber needs a good coat of paint and primer to protect the resin from UV damage. I like those tools he used on the hydraulic lines.

Orange on black is a nice combo. Imo thats a bit to heavy on the orange. More black would set it off and give that orange more pop. To each their own. Still pretty sick.

Love a good build without gloves. Camera should also show the olive going in before pushing the barb, always forgotten... Also, who doesn't LOVE a good crow's foot wrench action?
If you wrap your bars from the top down you dont have to use any tape you just tuck it into the bar end and put the cap on it
Garbaruk from Ungary makes Orange derailleur cages and jokey wheels. You can put then a 11-50 Garbaruk casette on Shinano GRX Gearing. Let's shred.

15:23 already some paintchips on the chainstay, they forgot the protector :(
strange that, maybe not a clutch on the di2 grx?
James Sherwood. @ 10:10 you can clearly see the clutch (the light grey lever at the front). Perhaps it was just the way the bright light was bouncing off the paint or the clear protector had some bubbles, which made it look like chips.

It's a gravel bike, it was never gonna stay in pristine shape.
