      +Derek McFarland
      "how can people compare LeBron? it's so disrespectful."
      They do it for a reason.
      The league and it's affiliates (i.e., the ESPN's of the world), KNOW that anything/anyone attached to MJ's name, will IMMEDIATELY create a buzz.
      And that translates into ratings for their stories (and publicity for themselves). Which in the end, will ultimately wind up selling their product (i.e., their show), the NBA game, and that particular player.
      And that's ultimately the league's PRIMARY objective.
      The problem with all of this however, is that it fuels the utter stupidity and juvenile ignorance of these idiot Y2K/millennial fanboys, that can OFTEN be seen in the comment sections of videos such as this one.

    This is how a professional athlete conducts an interview. He doesn't call himself the best player in the world. He doesn't act like he's never been there and done that. He scored with such ease, like he was toying with the Heat. He didn't stare people down or mean mug after scoring.

    Beautiful work of art when Michael Jordan was on the court. 23 years later watching these games over again and still no one has posessed the game MJ had. You can watch Jordans game in the late 1980's and just how dominate he was compared to the rest of the league. I always thought it was amazing that going into his 30's he was able to change and master his game to still be better then anyone in the NBA. Even at 35 years old Michael Jordan was the best player in the NBA. Then he retires a 2nd time and comes back to play for the Wizards. Goes from shooting guard to small forward and still shows at 38 to 40 years of age he was still one of the top 12 players in the league. Averaging 22 ppg at the age 38 and threw down another 50+ point game. Truly the best to ever play basketball.

  • @m74d3
    @m74d3 Před 6 lety +33

    That was the most effortless 50 pt game I've ever seen. Well other than like 3 other ones (that also happened to be MJ, like his 53 against the Pistons in 96). Others have scored 50, but no one did it as effortlessly (and looked as good doing it) as MJ

As it turns out, Hamblen ended up with one more ring than Jordan (Jordan got him 2 with the Bulls, and he got 5 with the Lakers).

    MJ was averaging 31ppg from the start of the 96-97 season to the end of 1996, the Bulls were 30-4 going into the new year and would only win 69 games that year, 3 wins away from reaching 72 wins again.

    Notice how full the Miami stands are. Because they wanted to see Jordan play. Even Lebron's big 3 didn't get that many fans except the playoffs.

    It's crazy to think about how much better he and guys like Bird and Magic would have been if they knew about all the rules....like that they could jump forward, come down and still take 2 steps before jumping again, or that you can pick up your dribble step back, then still have 2 steps forward.
