    Note that Jordan was already 33 at this point and still plays top level defense.
    Most above 30 year old superstars today virtually stop playing defense at this point for "load management" and conserve energy for the playoffs.

    I say this all the time just imagine what his stats would have been...Had he decided not to be the best defensive player at his position for his entire career. Or a top 5 defensive player in the NBA for his career...That 30.1ppg 6.5rpg 5.3apg IMO would have easily been 38/8&8 he was just that dominant offensively. But he decided to be the best two-player the NBA has ever seen and still managed to have unbelievable stats to be a SG.

      m Khan
      A lot of MJ haters act like he always had a superteam when he didn’t, they bring up the likes of Kukoc/Kerr/Longley/Grant etc as if any of those guys were actual all-nba talent. Pippen was a great defender and was able to dish it as well but like you said he had no real jumper, he couldn’t really create his own shot without MJ. Without him in the playoffs his fg% went down. His best career stats were with MJ. Kukoc as the number one guy after 98 wasn’t great either, he was just a good role player. He averaged what JR Smith did with LBJ in the finals but folks act like he was some Wade type player when he wasn’t.

    • @popeyeisgood
      @popeyeisgood Před 6 lety +2

      first of all, kerr was a decent role player but he is just a fucking role player. he was even less talented and reliable than paxson when comparing their primes against each other. the only reason why people regard him highly is his colorful career with other successful teams after his stint in chicago with what ever role he has been assigned with. talking about one dimensional he was far more so than kukoc.
      kukoc though was far better than jr smith. superior passer with way higher bb iq. jr smith's ability at shooting 3 is as reliable kukoc so that's a draw in my book.
      but lets put thing into perspective, lebron's lack of help the last season is all his own doing. it should not have been an excuse when he was the one driving other talents away. and the fact that east was so fucking weak is the only reason why he could show up every year in the final.
      pippen was definitely a all time great but people needs to realize that he didn't play like an all star from the get go. his growth as a superstar had everything to do with jordan.
      pippen had a jumper/3pt but he is far less consistent vs jordan. pippen can create his own shots but he wasn't as talented as the young wade in that regard. and i can't see how the growth of pippen and grant can be considered as the same as lebron jumping ship to join force with other nba all stars to form a 'super team'
      the only 'super team' component they had was rodman, which would still be considered as a role player or a one dimensional specialist in today's game. but one has to remember that he was basically an outcast that no teams in the nba wanted because his drama. compared to shit like cousin joining warriors today it is far less contrived. harper wasn't added to the bulls to play with jordan from the get go, he was basically a way watered down replacement of jordan that at times, even more inferior than pete fucking meyer.

He wasn’t winning anything until a whole new era began . That’s just facts

    • @speedymaster5758
      @speedymaster5758 Před 3 lety +3

      Okay I’m gonna break down your stupid comment. And very simply also might I add
      1. He was a shooting guard, when he played PG in the 80s 30 odd games he managed 13 triple doubles in a row. SG don’t often pass the ball also especially out of the triangle offence.
      2. The bulls roster from 84-88 was thin as, pip wasn’t fully developed till 90. And MJ never jumped teams he stayed with the team that drafted him unlike lebron. So with a thin roster of course he wasn’t gonna beat those early to mid 80s Celtics lakers pistons and 76s teams 🤦‍♂️ basketball is a team game.
      3. He wasn’t competition for teams ? Seriously ? 🤦‍♂️ Celtics couldn’t stop him, pistons developed Jordan rules aka football rules and exploited the rules and wording to smack him down.
      4. He started winning once the team developed into a solid group of role players and once MJ gave into the triangle offence.
      5. As for the 3 ball it wasn’t shot as much it is today, MJ could drop 40 plus on anyone without a 3, lebron couldn’t do that at all as he is a 1 dimensional player.
      6. You didn’t point any facts at all really, you just made yourself look like a absolute dumb f**k 🤣🤣🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ and a typical bronsexual fan. Facts are your lebron man is highly over rated.
      So little man stfu and go back to your corner with your pacifier and suck on that 😁 now have a good day

      Larry Norman Easy to reply. All those big names seperates in teamssssss. Only Bulls got 3alltime player and 1 all time coach. MJ got group of hof to defeat other star that have no name teamates. Bulls never run into Big or BIGGER team in their era.
