This might seem random, but finding house plants and/or 'emersed-growth' plants that can grow in or around aquariums (e.g. roots in water, stem pothos stem dipping under, etc.) is one of the 'in vogue' things is the hobby right now. You genuinely might want to consider an 'aquarium special' version of this video!! BTW, I'm doing a bit of research for an aquascape competition with an emphasis on submerged-to-emersed growth. Beyond the likes of pothos & bamboo, there's really very little said about 'house plants', even by experts and popular media people within the hobby. Which is to say, there are real, top experts online re: aquarium plants, but that expertise naturally takes them away from serious study of 'house plants'. An CZcams opening for you, perhaps?

Yeah.. They're not typically hydroponic.
Coleus need a lot of sunlight as well. They don't do well indoors.
I tried my spider plant to grow in water but it didn't work for me I don't know why,after 2,3 days it's leaves separated from the bunch
