Baby raccoons and skunk on patio

- I open the patio door to see raccoon babies approaching the business end of a skunk. Even though I'm attempting to transition the wild raccoons out of my yard into the local park, I still get nightly visits. I'm beginning to put out more and more birdseed and less dog food. It's so unfortunate that I have complaining neighbors who want to fuss and worry about "what ifs". Other than a neighbors birdbath being knocked over, there's no damage to speak of. But because of neighbors showing me city laws and threatening action, I'm doing my best to reduce raccoon numbers in our yards. When they complain about too many raccoons, I want to complain about too many humans. Seriously who are we as a species to complain about other animals? The greatest nuisance animal to planet Earth is us!

Me too. I love changes, but not changes like this, what hapens now. 🤔🤔 I also miss Wiener, and also Claus, Black sox, Skittish, Elton,... I think they maybe showing more later becouse of this pipsquic time 😃😃 but want see them so much so fast 👀🦝

You gotta be the luckiest guy I know. You get to feed raccoons. You got to touch a baby raccoon, hand feed one a cookie the other day. Seeing all the raccoons at your house makes me so happy. I just wish they wouldn't take all the bird food😂. That was interesting what you said about Gertie not having babies. You thought she was the one who was a mama. That's funny you just got back from feeding in the woods....... and they are already at your house 🤣. I love the grunts and squeaks that they make. You are doing a super great job!!!! A lazy Friday evening. Snuggled down in bed between the Painter and his wife, Mr. Wiener sighed softly, purred as the painter stroked his head and ears. Then, from the house to the left of them there was heard an horrific, blood-curdling scream, followed by an anguished woman's voice, "MY PRIZE-WINNING PETUNIAS! YOU MANIACS! YOU TRAMPLED THEM AND SCRATCHED THEM UP. YOU MANIACS! AUGH!"
As Mrs. Oon tsk-tsked yet smiled and the Painter huffed a faux-evil laugh, Mr. Wiener gave a thumbs-up to a completely black raccoon no one could see. With a grin, a flash of white teeth in the darkness, the Shadow Raccoon returned to his primary duty, guarding the trio as they slept -- and he wasn't the only one on duty. The long shadows in the room came alive with golden eyes and flashing teeth; "criminal" or not, the Oonfather, his wife, and the Great Oon Emperor would be well-guarded.

I thought about you when this random raccoon showed up past two nights. It is not part of the mama and two babies who visit pack. It looks like it's daddy was an opossum. Like a raccoon part opossum. Can't get close enough and get it to stick around to take a picture. Have you ever seen anything like that?
That sounds weird. Perhaps it's partially blonde in the fur?
