I have too say I was looking for a new belt and was considering occidental, but came across this video and ordered a similar setup It ended up being a little more expensive than the occidental but after receiving it this is by far the nicest highest quality tool belt setup money can buy, I’m gonna order an extra that way I’ll always have one. It’s perfect beautiful craftsmanship at a level I haven’t seen in a while, even the packaging was thoughtful and inviting. Awesome buckaroo!!!!

Buckaroo recently released a tool pouch called the bespoke which is primarily tool storage bag. It's little expensive, but then again what isn't these days when it comes to quality. That being said I just received mine a few weeks back, it's a real game changer, extremely pleased.

I’ve got a buckaroo setup, really like the belt and suspenders but I switched to occidental for the pouches. Main gripe being I didn’t understand why I’d have to buy a belt full of tool frogs to carry the same stuff as a occidental framer pouch which has room for a catspaw, podger and it’s own speed square slot rather than taking up a whole other pocket.

Great vid. In Australia 90% of tradies across soooooo many different trades run a buckaroo set-up. Unlike the American style of using two bags (one for tools, one for fixings) most blokes are running one bag for fixings & then customising the other 2/3rds of the belt with frogs for what tools we carry. Great stuff, cobba

Claes Edgren It happens from time to time, depending on what I’m doing.
You can also fit the hammer and chisel frog directly to the side of your pouch! Behind it or in front of it, it’ll fit. When I do finish work, I keep it in front of my pouches - so I don’t damage anything with a hammer flopping around!

Does anybody else have an issue with the left front suspender eyelet reinforcement in the belt itself gouging into the left hip bone? I’ve just bought a 34” after returning the 32” because of this issue, and I’ve just tried the 34” at home and the same problems happens, legitimate pressure on the hip from that point on the belt behind the suspender eyelet!!!

To be honest it's just good to see an Australian brand over there. Even if only two blokes are using them haha. Buckaroo are getting alot more popular here now with carpenters and, steel fixers and stuff. It used to only really be riggers (think Americans call them iron workers) and scaffolders. Now every job you go on more and more people running a buckaroo rig.

Is better ???? @MattBangsWood  Před 5 lety +2

Never take any comments as trolling. Everyone has an opinion.. I'm guessing you've never heard of them.. That means you've never worked with them. Buckaroo has been around since 1971, and they're huge in Aus. As of right now, I have a set of Occidentals, Buckaroo, Diamondbacks, to see where they all stack up. I worked out of Occidentals for a while before making the switch! Buckaroo's belt design is killer, and far more comfortable than Occidentals, by a mile and a half. Their pouches work for me a lot better too.. I'll have a video with all 3 belts soon. :)
