Love making these guys for grandkids. I found that instead of chain 1, I just keep going around and around so there is no seam. Thank you for a great tutorial!!
I am not sure if someone has already said this but I like to use yarn scraps from either messed up projects or just left overs to fill the inside. It is a great way to use everything! :)

I've found that in rows 7-22 (the body) that doing the first sc in the same stitch as the chain 1 keeps both sides neat and even rather than creating that slanted line of connections between rows. Just a thought!

I’m so excited to try this tutorial! This will be the very first thing I’ll crochet (I’m a knitter). I’m kind of confused by the hook size. You have 6mm, but my hooks are labelled with numbers. When I look up the conversion online, it seems that the number hook that matches 6mm is far far too small (6mm converts to hook 10 according to google). Can someone please help me? Are my hooks just labelled wrong? My hook set only goes down to hook 9 and that is the smallest hook that I have (my hook #1 being the largest hook).

I have made a few little stuffies, and I have found that using a hook size down from what it recommended for your chosen yarn it makes the stitches just slightly tighter and less chance of holes to see the polyfill

Elphie-Stjames I'm a lefty! It took me forever to learn how to crochet properly since everyone is right-handed, but it's basically the same. I'd recommend looking up left-handed crochet tutorials (like magic ring for lefties, single crochet for lefties), and then you can follow what is said in the video without having to copy the movements which can be confusing.
Idk how to explain but you just cut the original color leaving a little and then you take your next color and stick your hook through the stitch and wrap the leftover og color and the new one together and keep going along.
You will need to make the legs wider, you can try by increasing one more row with increases at the bottom of the legs, or you can make the first row of the body with increases and that will widen the body. I hope this can help 💖💖
I didn't check as I was using some scrap yarn, I had 1 ball and a half of that chunky yarn, and I still have a tiny bit left, hehehe, maybe this can help you. 😍😍

Hey, no I didn’t change, as we are not increasing (adding 2 single crochets in each stitch), what’s going to happen is the row will slightly fold upwards, I am just going around and not changing directions.
@@sophiamartinez3315 just continue going around, when you get to row that will go up just grab the back loops, just one rows the rest are normal. I don’t change direction, I just keep going around. ❤️❤️
