I watch this as if Iâve ever crocheted in my life. Iâm lost at the first step.
I suggest finding crochet videos that are more beginner-friendly. I noticed she glossed over some details that a beginner wouldn't know. Just an fyi yall:
At 8:40, make sure you do front loops only on the 4 stitches there. It will keep the legs doing straight down from the body vs bending outwards. She doesnt do it in the pattern but just trust me on thism i had 2 come out with wonky legs with one that bent outwards but i figured out doing this makes a world of difference

To make mini crewmate just use a smaller hook and thinner yarn.

Would the same logic be used with bigger needles? A bigger crewmate with thicker yarn and bigger needles. Would make it larger correct?

Gu Gue I honestly donât know đ© I just happen to have yarn laying around and i think it was a medium sized string? Iâm so sorry, I have not the slightest clue of any of the terms or what the entire spool of yarn is even called âčïžđ€Šđœââïž But it didnât use up that much tbh. 1 spool thingy should complete your crew mate!

@@gugue6248 To be on the safe side for one crewmate, I would say about 90meters or 45g of yarn. The skein I used was about 128g (of worsted weight or aran size yarn) and that would be plenty enough to probably make at least 3 or more I think.

I think for the dead crew-mate, you finish the body half way threw and then add like half a bone? Idk-

This was my first attempt at amigurumi and it didn't come out that bad! The body was a little too skinny and the helmet was a little too big ( I think the yarn was thicker...) but I am so stoked I actually completed it! With a little more practice, I'm going to make an entire set for my kids for Christmas! Thank you!!
