I love it but am very slow in absorbing the steps, is there a way you can show the sequencing in slow motion?
Hey Carol! I actually have this whole tutorial written online with Gifs and images that might help! clubcrochet.com/crochet-stripes-perfectly-amigurumi/
You can slow the video down. On a phone or tablet: tap the 3 dots up in the right hand corner, then tap "playback speed", then select 0.25x (quarter speed) 0.5x (half speed) or 0.75 (three-quarters speed). On a laptop or PC you can change it by clicking on the settings (cog wheel) icon which sits at the bottom right hand side. Of course, the sound track will be slowed down too but the video is perfectly clear. Hope this is helpful.
Carol Gatfield a just the playback speed
@@jgomes7195 I am so grateful you posted this reply. I have been watching CZcams videos for years and had NO clue that you could change the playback speed. Thank you so much!!
This video has been crochet life changing(: all the steps are so clear and easy to follow!
1:43 : half colour change
3:01 : no-cut join
5:46 : invisible join
just for convenience, feel free to use it too! :)
Ur pfp😩
Thank you, that’s super helpful :)
thanks
wish this comment can be pinned so I can't lose track
@@shericelimTake a screenshot!!!! That’s what I do…..Then I also write it down on a sheet of paper and put it in my Crochet Binder for future reference!!!!!!!!! Along with all my written Patterns…..
I was crocheting a little bee and I had to change the color of my yarn after I changed the yarn my stripes weren't like it was supposed to look like. I wish I found this video sooner! But this definitely helped, thank you club crochet!
looks like i'm not the only one crocheting bees!
Same!
Same the instructions I was following before finding this video just told me to change colors thats it no explaining how or anything this video really helps I can now make my army of cute bees
Yes me too! I just made 2 bees one for me and one for my boyfriend and the stripes arent entirely even I and so going to be thankful for this video (I just started it now )
Game changer!
The half colour change just completely blew my mind. Absolutely genius! I'm in awe
Thank you! I'm a 11 year old new crocheter and I'm planning to make a bee and this video really helped me!
Hehe
hello! im guessing your 12/13 now, how ru doing? :)
@@littlecrisp8164 Hi!! im 12 now and i still love chrocheting! i dont have much yarn atm because it’s pretty rare to find good quality yarn in Jamaica. I’ll try my best to get some more ASAP!
Also.. thanks for checking up on me kind stranger!💕
I keep forgetting that I'm 17 because i get so excited seeing someone young also do the things i did when i was 11
Yo thats so cool, keep going bro!! Crochet is lowkey such a fun addiction, i hope your crochet’s going well
How is it going!? I’m barely getting into chrochet🤙🏼
I’ve never considered a technique like the half color change. Wow!
THIS IS GENIUS. I'M SO GLAD CZcams RECOMMENDED THIS TO ME. I always hated making stripes. Now it can look beautiful.
“After watching this, I concluded that I don’t care about the unevenness as much as I thought.” -wise woman on CZcams
I come back to this video ALL THE TIME and use the technique on all kinds of projects. Thank you so much!
I started making amigurumi last December after a friend sent me a pinterest link of a little Eeyore she wanted for Christmas 😂 This is a nifty little trick! This was a "issue" that I didn't know had a solution to it! 👏
Thank you so much for this technique, my jaw was dropping when I saw the result
This is the only well done youtube video on how to do color changes the right ways thank you!! And thanks for the bee pattern!! While I was watching this I literally thought to myself that I was gonna look up cute bee patterns to practice this technique with and now I don't have to!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much, you can't imagine how helpful this was!
You taught me the best techniques I know! Amazing video, it's so clear for us to understand, thank you so much!!
The 1/2 stitch ( bottoms one color and tops second color) is a really amazing technique. Thank you for showing it 😊
The half color change is life changing! I can change colors so much nicer now!
Thank you for this!! I learned that when changing colors, if you hold one color to the back of the work every time and the other color to the front every time, it doesn’t twist like that! It helped me a lot.
But then you only crochet in the front loops. How do you avoid twisting your yarn balls all up?
How have more people not seen this?! I'm super glad I was looking through your videos again and this is an absolute gem. I'll be using these techniques in my future projects to make my work more clear. Thank you.
Thanks so much for the kind comment! I just started a brand new series called Amigurumi 101 that you might enjoy :) amigurumi101.com
Ooh that half colour change looks great!! Can't wait to try it on my next project 😁
I’ve been trying to do half colour change in the round whilst increasing and it’s quite tricky, the twist I’ve learnt is vital. It will take more practice but I love the straight line finish! Perfect for the zebra I’m making
Sorry to reply to a two year old comment but what's the difference between twisting and not twisting the yarn while doing this? I find it difficult to hold so i've been doing without for a little bit but I feel there must be a reason lol
Hi. How did you do this with increases?
Tears of joy!! Just amazing!! Bee army! Here w come! Thanks!
This tutorial was immensely helpful! Thank you!
No problemo!
Thank you so very much! Easily understood and great to have so many methods in one video.
Hi, i subscribed just for this reason. I always jog my colour's , but not any more thank you very much..Kim
Every now and then I like to come back to this tutorial. I never needed it before but I just know I will some day
Thanks for being subscribed for so long by the way!! You rock!
Love the techniques - so good of you to share your knowledge
Thank you! This is beautifully explained.
This is absolutely perfect. Thank you so much for helping make my crochet Pokeballs seamless. 😁
You're absolutely welcome :) I'm going to be adding a pokeball pattern to this channel really soon actually!!
@@ClubCrochet oh gosh!! I've subscribed and turned on notifications. I can't wait. You're my new favorite channel.
Thank you so much for sharing! The instruction given on this video is very clear and easy to follow, even for me. Lol. Very professional and well done. Bravo! Thumbs up and subscribed.
Thanks! I've been trying to figure out a pattern for a little amigurumi I want to make for myself, and this will be perfect for the stripes!
i love this really helpful i did the invisible color change and hid the tails between the rounds by crocheting over them
Great color change technique!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
This is brilliant! I so dislike when my stripes get crooked. Thank you so very much. Will need to practice but that is one of the things I love about crochet, never stop learning and trying new things. Keeps it very interesting 😎
Thanks for this video, I struggled a lot with my amigurumi until I saw this video..
Will definitely help me in my next project.. thanks a lot
Just like another commenter, I TOO was crocheting a chubby bee as a baby shower gift and I wish I saw this video because it came out looking weird on its belly where the seam was. Then after I gifted the bee, the pre-existing toddler older brother found the bee and claimed it as his own. 🤣 He sleeps with it and everything, its adorable. So NOW I am crocheting a SECOND, slightly smaller bee for the baby. I'm done with all of the color changes already, but due to my laziness I kind of discovered the no yarn change method. But it still looks a little janky because I've never before heard of half color changes. I work in a school and the bee is VERY POPULAR. So it seems as if I have quite a few requests for more bees 😂 I'm so happy to have found this video because it will improve all of my future bees! THANKS! Btw I made an account on crochet pals but I still cant download the pdf.
Love this technique! Thanks for the turorial :)
Thank you so much. This was great brush up on my skills. I suck at Amigurumi but I am going to try this.
thank you! the tutorial is as perfect as the stripes 😉👌

@@ClubCrochet That was my goal. I love it when my friends ask how I learned to make even stripes, I can tell then how a young Sir taught me the secrets :)
I wish I found this vid yesterday lol but this is really helpful, I'll try it out and see how it turns out. Thank You!

owww thanks. this thecnique its so perfect. From Brazil 🇧🇷
Thank you!!!!
Oii
Great techniques! Thank you for sharing!
You're very welcome!
Genius!
Thank you for a great tutorial.
👍👍
i got frustrated with the no cut version because i kept getting additional stitches, so i decided to just go with the half-colour changes for now. turns out that you can strategically weave in the leftover tail of the second colour to smooth out the gap between the rows. it looks super neat :)
love your tutorials!!!!! thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you!
Very interesting! I never knew about half color changes.
This is gold. I can't believe I just discovered this
Amazing!!!! Thanks for the video ❤️
tx so much for this great tutorial video i love it.

Yooooo those bees are so cute!!!!
Haha thank you!!!
This is awesome - thank you so much.
this is amazing! thank you so much :)
Wow!! Genio total! Te amo! 🤩💫🙌👏👏👏👏
Thank you very much. I think I'll be using your first technique from now on, I don't mind the tiny inconsistency, it's still heaps better than the usual method, and your second technique makes me itch, I loathe yarn ends.
Yah I honestly very very rarely use the second technique because it's just not worth the work haha. I'm glad the video helped!!
This helps so much! Thank you!
this video helped me alot on my striped bee i was recently making for a friend
Mind blown.... been a long time since I learned a new crochet technique.
