      @@whiteshadow2535 in md merrli has been banned instead of kit and i couldn't be happier. Reino is still a super strong starter thanks to that, and while losing the third fusion name hurts a lot in terms of endboard power, kit makes the deck so much more consistent. After merrli banned i played: pure tear, punk tear (before chaos ruler ban), bystial synchro tear, adventure tear, lab tear, paleo tear and now i'm trying snake eyes tear

    So in response to @nhanbui2707 I tried to adjust this for a list that viable in MD. Please feel free to correct and/or adjust since it was just a quick conversion and it will definitely not be perfect. It would be nice if this sparks a small discussion
    Main:
    Monsters
    2 Scheiren
    3 Reino
    1 Havnis
    1 Tear Kash
    2 Back Jack
    1 Nessie
    1 Mothman
    3 Impulse
    1 Fire attacker
    Spells
    1 Perlereino
    3 Scream
    1 Grief
    Traps
    3 Dinomischus
    3 Marella
    3 Needlebug nest
    2 Rise to full height
    1 Lost wind
    1 Vivid tail
    1 Metanoise
    3 Karma Cannon
    1 Trivikarma
    1 Txn Rollback
    1 Sulliek
    Extra
    1 Mudragon
    1 Kitkallos
    1 Garura
    1 Dragostapellia
    1 Rulkallos
    1 Kaleidoheart
    1 Opabinia
    1 Ninja Shadow Mosquito or Centaurea if on a budget
    1 Downerd
    1 ZEUS
    1 Linkuriboh
    1 I:P
    1 Barricadeborg
    1 Dharc
    1 Unicorn
    So the big difference in MD is that reinoheart is now a 1 card mill 10 if uninterrupted but in exchange because Merrli is banned sprind frees up space for other cards and rulkallos is now playable without committing to KotS. I opted to add in the rescue ace cards in from his side deck but it definitely can be replaced. Hell it can even be 3 Maxx C + Ghost Meets Girl - A Masterful Mayakashi Shiranui Saga if you wanna use txn rollback on it.
    I was thinking of removing vivid tail but kit will be leaving it on field so it's definitely guaranteed to be live. If it's taken out to the gy you can fuse it back to the deck with kitkallos after it has been shuffled back into the ED with Rulkallos.
    With Impulse and Fire Attacker in the main deck it does kinda raise the number of bad mills. Now there's 11 bad mills in total.

    Great video. I like how you are going really into detail and explaining a lot about your deck.
    I hate nothing more than "I play it because its broken" deckprofiles and explainations.
    To me its really interesting that you apparently went second a whole lot through the tournament, but seemingly didnt have issues with that. When i tryed the deck, it looked pretty good going first, but terrible go second. Especially with all my cardeffects happening on different turns. One per turn negates really feel like twice per turn effects. I would have really liked to see your approach to go second with this.

    • @TopTierGamingYGO
      @TopTierGamingYGO  Před 2 měsíci

      Going second it was very often the case of needlebug nest and daruma cannon carrying.
      You can bait with less good stuff and then blow them out with those cards.
      But you also have cards like havnis, tear Kash, impuls (in side), and phantazmay (in side) that can make your go second win on your opponents first turn, which happened to me once at the regional
      Also opening things like scream and reinoheart together can push through average end boards pretty easily.
      You will have a hard time going second vs decks like mannadium or dark world tho where their end boards are near unbeatable

    Could watch this forever, great work! A lot of players including myself want to build and play this deck but can't afford s:p little knight. Advice on how to approach this by either adding a card in it's place or going with different lines already included in the deck? Thanks!

    • @TopTierGamingYGO
      @TopTierGamingYGO  Před 2 měsíci +3

      Sp is actually one of the easiest swaps in the deck.
      If you take her out you can either run unicorn to make ip that type of interrupt.
      Or you can set things up to where you focus more on sprind.
      Something you can easily take out sp for besides that is redoer, who is a great extra deck tool for tearlaments.
      Now sp is an insane card so nothing is going to put in quite as much work. But there are totally serviceable options to play over her.

    Have you messed around with Beastking of the swamp? Ofc hes not great to draw but at least level 4 water for bahamut and gives you acces to rullkallos and in theory to Grapher or if you like it extra spicy granguinol to get winda excess.

    • @TopTierGamingYGO
      @TopTierGamingYGO  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I've tested around with regular king of the swamp in one of my older lists during CYAC.
      I like being able to make rul, but overall I feel like there are better cards to play and the extra deck gets more rough once you need to fit rul and grapha. Especially when they will only come up if swamp is milled.

    • @luenma
      @luenma Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@TopTierGamingYGO Beast king is 100% better the regular and I would probably only go for rul since you don't always have the discard for grapher. So you could just cut dharc for rul. I especially like the Ruls "hidden" eff that aquas can't be destroyed by battle works so good with rise to full hight

      @@TopTierGamingYGO He did make a pure Paleo list, but not Paleo Tear. In MD, Tears are hit differently:
      -Merrli banned :(
      -Kitkalos and field at 1
      -Scheiren at 2
      -Tear Kash and Sulliek at 1

    • @friskydrinklunkybank1108
      @friskydrinklunkybank1108 Před 2 měsíci +1

      I think for MD you definitely want 3 reino and possibly the sea mare to get to kit asap, since she is technically a mill 10 on summon provided you dump and revive kash tear. That'll definitely get your plays going in turn 1.
      I think one of the big problems in md is that toad is banned and sp little knight doesnt exist yet

      I had an older build that was running 3 and that was actually one of the main cards of the deck I felt.
      However, the more I tested, the less good it actually felt.
      When it milled like 10+ cards it was absolutely wild, but it was hard to determine the card quality it had due to its rng nature and matchup spread.
      It was either really strong or really mid.
      Eventually it came out for karma cannon which overall I feel is better

      @@TopTierGamingYGOThanks for the response! do you still think this deck wins the grind game/engine vs engine vs snake eyes/fk snake eyes? I thought the benefit was that if you get it wrong you mill which is great while if you get it wrong for fiend comedian you banish their entire graveyard which hurts the snake eye grind game and that flexibility of being potentially an engine starter or disruption
