A Formidable Response | MiG-29 Fulcrum

The MiG-29 Fulcrum (МиГ-29 Фулкрум) is the Soviet Union's response to the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon. Some would argue that this was a success since it is still in service with tons of countries to this day (with modernized versions of course) and does not see a complete retirement date in sight for a long time. It is a capable ground attack platform, being able to carry a wide range of bomb types and rockets, while also being a very capable dogfighter and got the added bonus of an early HMD (the monocle that the pilot pulls down on his helmet), allowing the seeker head to look where the pilot's looking.
