Dawn of Innovations

- Throughout its history, the Soviet Union was committed to making the best and most capable aircraft to dominate the Western world, which especially came into light with the rise of the Cold War. Because of this desire to be better, this led the Russians to create rather interesting design concepts if you ask me and unfortunately, not all of them were able to see the light that is a service life and potentially conflict. The importance of these aircraft cannot be understated however, as some of them led to immensely important innovations in the aeronautics world. Could history have played out differently if some of these aircraft had seen service life? I leave that for you to decide....
I hope you enjoy this edit, and it would mean everything for a like, subscribe, or even something as simple as a share to a friend
Here's my Soviet/Russian Prototypes edit featuring some of the most innovative and wacky designs coming from the East!
I would also like to give a shout-out to @PaveWayMA, @MEME.DADDY14, and @B-1_connoisseur for their support and assistance in making these edits possible.

You really have to wonder what the likes of Antonov, Mikoyan, and Korolev could have achieved in the West without the limitations placed upon them in the Russian-dominated Soviet bloc.
@@jamesharding3459 Oh most definitely. You look at any aircraft from the Eastern bloc and the only thing I believe was truly standing in their way was the corrupt governments ruling over them. If you are interested, I'd look up some of the designs coming out of Yugoslavia 🙂
@@phantom_phlyer4 Agreed. The Soviets had some extremely talented engineers, but the system and culture prevented fully exploring their potential and investing in the foundational industries and sectors to realize them.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Korolev was one of the most gifted astronautical engineers of all time, definitely an equal to Goddard.
@@jamesharding3459 Tbh, those names don't sound familiar to me, I'll have to do some research on em
@@phantom_phlyer4 Sergei Korolev was the chief designer of practically every Soviet space project until his death in 1966. An evolution of one of his designs, the Soyuz, is still used today.
Robert Goddard was an American rocket scientist during the earliest days of rocketry, and one of the pioneers of rocketry in general. Among other things, he pioneered functional liquid fueled engines and his work would be scaled up with minimal modification in the German V2 (Von Braun was nowhere near as innovative as some people will tell you), and derivations of his engine designs were used in early Soviet designs by Korolev like the R7 and Proton, and would even be the basis of several excellent American designs such as the F1 as used aboard Saturn V.
Basically, they are both what the fanboys of Warner Von Braun think he was.
Мистер, у вас явно есть проблемы с головой. Обратитесь к доктору пожалуйста. Ибо такую бредятину, даже тут в пост-СССР, никто и никогда не выдумывал.
О да ночь сильнее дня! Поистину так! 🌙💜⚡
we need to see Dawn of Innovations but a US version btw great video good music choice
Thank you so much for the kind words! That is a really good idea though and if you have any specific American prototypes in mind that you want to see featured (barring I can find footage), please let me know and I can start compiling for the future!
@@phantom_phlyer4 well if you look up x series of US planes you will find alot of experimental planes but here are some few US prototypes that you can use yf-23, x-32 and Northrop YB-49
@@phantom_phlyer4 super tomcat-21, and VFX or I will be very angry
Oh man, I know this took a lot of work. Great job dude! 👍
At times it definitely felt like it. Longest part was definitely compiling footage cause I've had this one planned for months as I've scoured for enough footage. Definitely worth it tho since the Soviets were horrible at documenting things, so this is like gold to me lol :)
Absolutely phenomenal!
Thanks mate, I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
truly phantastisch

Great work, dude. I just found your Channel recently, but you definitely deserve a sub from me!
Keep up your Great work!
Hey mate, thank you so much for your kind words. I hope to keep the quality coming and a new video out soon with a different style to my normal. Thanks for the sub as well :)
Nice video dude 👍

0:09 what plane is that i can't recognize that plane
That plane is the Ilyushin 102 ground attack prototype jet (also shown later in the video at 0:22 and 1:23 )
1:39 where can i find that video
Luckily I hold onto almost all of my footage haha. This is the Su-37 prototype and here is the video link: czcams.com/video/_r5fNEJbfIg/video.htmlsi=F_uknJGIe6UYpyM5
