That lift off was sweet. You should replay it in slo-mo.

Beautiful model and execution, Dave! I'm 69 and I scratch-built a 1/48 semi-scale (slightly enlarged fins) flying Saturn V models back in 1971 (powered by two Enerjet "F" engines). I would like to see additional launch videos of your rocket--its great!

That was the best model simulation I have seen of the Saturn V launch. Suggestion: At liftoff switch cameras to slow motion!

Went to settings and played the looking up shot at .25 speed and that was cool! Mute the sound of course.

The attention to detail is very impressive! This is how kids should learn history. Beats reading about it in a book.

Its crazy how wild you can get with thse model rockets! Those E9s are tricky, especially removing the ejection charge.

Nice job Dave! We watched it live, and it was a blast!!! Your hard work and attention to detail was a sight to see. Can’t wait to watch another reenactment!

Wow, wow, wow-a beautiful model of the most beautiful launch vehicle to ever fly! I teared up when the LOX venting started...😊❤

Nicely done! That's the closest to a real launch anyone can get using solid fuel engines. Awesome.

The launch tower was awesome the animation on another level excellent build on the entire set up,last time I launched a Saturn V rocket never could find it,it went completely out of sight so it must be orbiting the earth lol, looked for about 3 wks and bout 60+ miles out no rocket

That was an incredible video. The launch pad with the flame pits, the tower and the retractable access arms, the venting of the stages, the background audio including Jack King's countdown, and finally, the up-close view of the launch itself. Do you have a slo-mo version of that? Would be interesting. This video belongs in some sort of "Hall of Fame" of model rocket launches. To say a job well done would be an understatement. Thank you.

The model kit comes with the option to power the rocket with 3 x C6-5 engines, WAY more impressive liftoff than from one D engine. But the detail of the pad, and add’l pre-liftoff smoke is impressive. And how can you have only one camera view?

  • @3rd_Millennium_Engineering

What did Dave Kovar use for the LoX simulation?
Is the Launch Umbilical Tower (LUT) 3D printed?

This is a great replica of pad 39a with an awesome Saturn V rocket I would love to know what this guy has invested in this great model

  • @petemclinc

That Saturn V took of 20 times faster than the real one. The launch tower is just way to cool
with the White Room, swing arms, cat walks, nitrogen vapor, fuel pipes, flame buckets and all
those details. I think the launch pad is cooler than the rocket. Why was that wire to the left
    at 7:15 smoking?

Also, is there anyone our there who might do the same for the Soviet N-1 rocket? Flame pits, railroad transportation to the pad, etc.
