In today's video I am working on another gorgeous abstract textured art piece! I am using white, black and gold for this one and I am working on a much larger 24 x 36 inch canvas. This was so much fun to try on a larger piece and I have some great ideas for a blue piece next! The gold on top of the texture was awesome and a little but of gold leaf just gives this piece a little something extra.

Just Subscribed… Can someone PLEASE describe the Materials Needed and in what order/steps to use them? My Daughter really wants to try this… I looked in the Description Box, but didn’t see anything listed for Materials/Supplies Needed and the Steps to use them in…
Did she use Gesso & Modeling Paste?
Did she apply white acrylic paint, and then apply the black acrylic paint while the white was still wet or was the black paint blended into a different product (other than paint?)
Is she using a liquid gold leaf product or does anyone know what products are being used to apply the gold leaf?
I see she’s using gold leaf sheets, but what type of gold paint or gold glue is being used?
What does she use to seal the finished art?
Was the black dry before she applied the gold leaf paint / foil sheets?
I know this is a ton of questions…
But I’d be so grateful if anyone can point me in the right direction with supplies and steps…
My daughter has been chronically ill for over year now, has endured multiple surgeries and I would love to surprise her with the right supplies and materials needed to try this.
I use spackle and texture pastes first and then once that is dry add acrylic paint. I finished it with glue and gold leaf.
Absolutely beautiful. But what all are you using? Would love to try iy for my living room.

Beautiful Amanda great artwork are you using paint color white to make your texture or are you mixing your acrylic white paint with? Spackle ?
Hi! I used spackle for the first texture and then added white paint once it was dry.

Beautiful!!! Is it not necessary to use a special adhesive for gold leaf. I’ve always wanted to try it, but everyone tells me it’s to much work and I would need special expensive glue🤷🏽♀️
There is a glue specifically for the leaf that dries tacky so the leaf sticks to it. This is what I use: amzn.to/3ODyzuh
I just tried gold leaf for the first time last night! What is the gold paint you’re using with the palette knife?
I use Utrecht gold paint that is really nice and thick.

Can we apply gold leaf without glue?
If the paint is still wet yes you can put the gold leaf on that.
