- Don't watch, just listen!

You'll have to bring in the trash for this hard-driving number! While using both rock and introductory Afro-Cuban styles, there's also an added twist: percussionists perform on optional "junkyard" instruments such as five-gallon buckets and plastic garbage cans and lids. A spirited middle section allows other band members to join in the fun too.

I played this 3 years ago in fifth grade and I still am obsessed with this song. We used the trash cans and metal parts or whatever and it was I love the countermelody in the end part. I wish I played this song again because it is so amazing ❤️
We just had our 7th and 8th grade spring concert yesterday and we played this song in it. I love this song so much. I love the percussions part the most. But I also loved playing the clarinet part so much also. Its a fun song to play and listen to

I play the percussion part on this and I am a backup for tuba on this song.
You don’t hear much percussion 2 I’m more use to playing the metal drums so it extenuates the sound of the drum beats more
Currents by Robert W. Smith :)
+Brandon Yamaguchi I'll check it out and try to find a recording!
Never found one?
I play the garbage can in my 6th grade band
I think that it was kinda hard to hear the flutes In the beginning 😕
flutes are alwaya a bit of a challenge to hear either because they sometimes play too quietly, or the rest of the band is too loud. usually its the second reason.
Domenique May it's probably because usually flutes don't have a big part in band, but they do make the band sound alot better. our band teacher removed the flutes and it didn't sound as good as it was before and we only have 6 flutes
Yeah the flutes are hard to hear I am one and sometimes I can't even hear myself because there are only two flutes in the "good" band that I am in at my school
It needed more oboes. We are playing this at my school and we can hear them just fine. I think what they did was they cut the oboes out of the first entrance and added them later because after a few notes they were added in.
Domenique May 😱... AM I NOT LOUD ENOUGH FOR YOU!!! AM I LOUD ENOUGH NOW!!!
Oh no! 3 people missed the 👍🏻 button
I was wondering if you could make a audio if It don't mean a thing by Duke Ellington and Ivring Mills

I've played it as a flute and yeah it was hard but I was in fifth grade so maybe that's why....
How is this hard? You might be younger than I am, I played it two years ago in 6th grade. I've never slipped while playing this song, even back then.
