Love these. Also, being from Liverpool, I recognise the area where the wheelchair race takes place is New Brighton promenade, while the kickabout ident was filmed on a street near Liverpool itself.

I remember when these idents were just 'Concept Ideas', and then Channel 4 decided to use them to replace the not as good idents seen in 2016.

Hi Avery. I've arrived at this video because I thought I might be able to mix the acoustic version of the channel 4 theme, i.e. at 4:42 with the old 70s song
'Cheap Trick - I Want You to Want Me'
There is a cross-over with both melodies, but they are very much in different keys.
I'm sure you'll figure out how to play it if you look around online. I think its only 4 chords with the same lead each chord?

For me, It’s completely heartbreaking to see the channel which once had one of the most creative idents despite having more shazbot content in recent years has some of the most boring idents I’ve ever seen.

The music is way too simplistic and twee - it has no depth whatsoever. These lack all the charm of the previous identity (and the squares) that preceded. Then there's the programming which has also gone down the pan. Look at the programme listings from the early 2000s and compare it to now. The artsy innovation has all gone.
