    just bought one for my 2006 suburban z71. installing it this week. got the dreaded dead zone in my pedal and the existing throttle body is an ac delco oem that's only been installed for 6 months. my suburban has some serious miles on it at 321,000 so im hoping spending the extra money is worth it.

      I haven't had any problems with mine and you will notice a bit of a power increase so I am happy with it. I kept my original just in case it ever gave me a problem. Dang man those are some serious miles. Thanks 4 watching and please like & SUBSCRIBE. :)

    Another great video brother. Keep up the great work. I have the Pedalmax on my 5.3 but I did not buy the adjustable knob. Did you buy the adjustable knob or did you run it on max setting lik I did ? Thanks brother can’t wait to see them headers I’m sure with that and a retune it will move even faster.

    • @johnwilson1784
      @johnwilson1784 Před 5 lety +1

      matthew melton Right out of the box it is set to max setting which is 100 percent sensitivity. The knob just lets you turn down the throttle sensitivity. I like mine wide open so I didn’t get the adjustable knob.

    I have a 2015 wrangler., 100k miles
    Upgraded air filter, rough country exhaust, looking at jet throttle for next purchase.
    Yo do performance chips really work and what do you recommend?
    Also how much hp do you think your vehicle gained as an estimate from all your upgrades vs. the stock whenever u purchased.
    Thanks man and happy power Driving

      Sure I could tell with my truck right away because the throttle response was much better and I could definitely feel a boost in power. Now it wasn't alot but with all the other mods that's I've done to the truck it has came together great and its definitely fast enough for me. Plus the throttle body is really easy to install. this is the same experience i got adding a spectra performance TB, assuming its having a better built TB that gives the better throttle response and smoother ride/shifting etc but with this being an exact 72mm to replace my 72mm, im concerned if dumping 300 bucks will really give me any big gains, yes a properly programed TB can give better results but without it being raised to an 80mm whats the point? luckily im working with spectra right now, hopefully they can find me one thats ported with this bolt pattern made by them

    • @jbone1383
      @jbone1383 Před rokem +1

      I installed a 72mm Jet Powr-Flo on my car about a year ago, along with the matching tb spacer...I would say it's not worth the $$$ I couldn't tell much of a difference really in mpg or anything...my advice would be if you have a DOHC engine w/ coil-on-plug ignition then put some high-performance ignition coils on it that put out more voltage & can handle much more heat & abuse than stock coils! They will usually have red or yellow tops...I did this on my car and they made a HUGE difference in performance all-around that can actually be felt in the seat💪
      Even if you don't have an engine w/ coil-on-plug ignition, upgrade whatever ignition coil(s) it has to MSD or equivalent, trust me, you won't regret it it's an upgrade that is definitely worth your hard earned dollars!!!

I had a few ?'s about the supercharger kit they make for my CTS...they want $6,500 for it...there is no phone # listed for him anywhere and no address either; just e-mail...If the only way to communicate w/ him is after I make some expensive purchase like that from his website, I'm not comfortable w/ that! What if I run across a snag of some sort during installation? What if I do need an updated tune & he doesn't respond again? The only thing I know about Will Overkill 4 sure is that he's based out of Canada & he's next to impossible to get ahold of AND his website hasn't been updated since 2007! I decided 2 pass...

      GM TECH HERE , this is basically a stock throttle body that was bored out to allow more air. IF your throttle body was dirty and you install this you might need a throttle body compensation reset. When throttle bodies get dirty the ECM adjusts the opening of the plate to maintain idle until it cant compensate any more. if you clean it/replace it with out resetting the compensation this can happen. Its a easy reset with GDS that any dealer can do, might charge you .5 or 1 hr for the time.

      try performing a throttle relearn procedure...I drive a Cadillac too & the steps are listed in the owner's manual under the "battery" section...I don't have an Escalade but it usually starts with disconnecting the battery; then performing the throttle relearn after you hook it back up... if that doesn't correct your idle speed(s) it usually means you have a vacuum leak somewhere & it's time to smoke test it!
