UK Weather Forecast: Becoming Mostly Dry But A Few Showers In Places (Sunday 30th June 2024)

Good morning everyone and welcome to todays UK weather forecast on Sunday 30th June 2024.
Current Situation: Low pressure is moving away to the east a ridge builds to the west..
Today:
Sunday begins with light rain and drizzle in the south and south east but many central, northern and western regions are dry although there are a few scattered showers for northern and western Scotland.
Through the rest of the day patchy rain clears the south with sunny spells following. Most places will be dry this afternoon but a few scattered showers are possible for northern and eastern England.
Temperatures will be slightly cooler than average at 14C to 21C.
Tonight:
And showers quickly die out this evening with most places becoming dry. There will be a mix of clear spells and variable cloud but later in the night and band of persistent and quite heavy rain will arrive in the west.
Temperatures will be cool in the north and mild in the south. 6C to 13C will be our range of temperatures tonight.
Tomorrow:
Cloud and outbreaks of rain will spread eastwards across the country though southern England will stay mostly dry. Some of the rain could be heavy and persistent in the north. A cool day with temperatures of just 13C to 20C.
Outlook:
Tuesday: Showers in the north and west. Cool or very cool temperatures.
Wednesday: Cloud and rain spreading southeastwards. Very cool.
Thursday: Sunshine and showers in central and northern regions. Dry in the south. Cool.
