I think the court and ball bounce was odd
since it should be entertaining, I think Nadal used the slice too much as Carlos was not moving well or hesitant to move.
However, the Rafa forehand passing shot down the line on match point never gets old and I would pay just to watch it live
carlos had an ankle injury recently so he cant play tour level tennis, but can play ex level and still get paid so thats what hes doing. rafa can still hit but not do much about endurance, it has nothing to do with his age and everything to do with his health choices cple yrs ago, and he knows it. interesting he publicly chided novx about his health choices and now ndl is the one whos suffering, rather ironic, but he now knows what novx knew far earlier than anyone else. they dont call him novx for nothing...@@bilalattal2707

It’s an exhibition and the court surface looks to be what they use for Laver cup. The bounce isn’t odd (it’s called hitting with heavy spin) and the court dimensions look exactly like normal court dimensions because that’s what it is 😂

For anyone who knows tennis better than I do how much effort was Alcaraz really putting in to keep the score exciting?
I'd say about 80%, it was an exhibition so it's normal to make the match close for the crowd. A real grand slam match, in nadal's condition, alcaraz wins in 3 straight sets pretty comfortably.

I think if he was taking it easy on Nadal and then winning points and games at will, he would have won the tie breaker far more comfortably. At any rate, let's hope Nadal stays healthy, and these two meet in a Slam. IF Nadal is healthy I will vet on him winning, clay or not

These guys know how to manufacture a good exhibition. 14-12 in the deciding tiebreak. When they started exchanging the shanks Alcaraz finally accepted the win Nadal thought was most appropriate. Between the lines though, Nadal's backhand slices and his overall lack of mobility is not a good sign.
Think about how much more work it would be to manage the scores like that in real time.
This isn't WWE. Just an inconsequential match with the objective of not getting injured.
