You can rotate but have screen record from your phone
Why would Smoke and CO Alarm be disarmed when you are home? It seems like that would be the first thing you want armed considering one of those two is silent and deadly.
The assumption is that when you are home, you would be able to hear the alarms going off. This is not disabling the alarm itself, but just the listening for the alarm by the echo device. Hope that helps.
How cam you do a drop in with the older devices if you aren't at home to answer the call through voice commands?
I just bought an Amazon Eco 5 to use to drop in (my mom is in a nursing home.) I have been trying it at my house. I can get the camera to come on, but the drop in feature isn't working. I get a signal that says "call in Progress" you can not initiate an Alexa call while on a p hone call." When I click "Ok" it still doesn't connect. Any ideas?

after hours of searching, i still can't set up a routine. for when Ring doorbell is pressed this plays 45 seconds of a song "everywhere" or to a group of echos like downstairs. any skill, hack or cheat, i have set up a routine for each echo device but this only plays the music on one device and the rest tell me it is playing on another device and do i want to play the music on this device. very frustrating.

The Echo Shows have built in cameras. That’s that I was using in the demo.

I attached a wyze contact sensor to my garage door to enable alexa guard automatically with a routine so I don't forget to arm it

@@SteveDOES I have it arm when it opens between the hours that I usually would leave the house and I just manually turn it off when I come home. I also tacked on a IFTTT recipe to arm my blink cameras in conjunction with that.

Yes. You can build a routine and use the Custom option.

So relevant to Americans only because for some unimaginable reason Amazon has enabled the guard service outside the USA. It’s one of the reasons I think Alexa is basically rubbish if like me you don’t reside there.
I wonder if there is some sort of legal policy as to why it’s not offered in other countries. :(
