I'm still thankful for my 11sqm apt with small kitchen at $120. Really it's going to be a huge factor in living in SK.... Cost of apartment. Glad to know she already moved to an apt, ❤️

Since the room has it's own bathroom and the space is quite big (for a goshiwon), it's only logical that the price is almost twice the usual goshiwon, which usually around 350.000 won per month.

Having a own washroom is more than enough for a goshiwon. Bcz having same washroom for a floor or few people isn't good.
In my point of view it's very uncomfortable.

That's definitely one of the better-looking goshiwons that I've ever seen, and the price is good for that location and the fact that you get a washroom included in the room. It does sound like sound-proofing is still an issue, though. People also need to check about ondol temperatures in the rooms in wintertime, because many goshiwons set the heating temperature to sauna conditions, and if you have a small window, the high temperature can prevent you from sleeping and lead you to getting sick.
When it has a hefty deposit, it sounds like a one-room or studio except you don't pay water or electricity bills.
Thanks for sharing your room tour. I agreed that this is the best if its not one of the best looking goshiwon ive seen. Most of it looks like a closet & depressing, but this goshiwon looks airy and bright due to amount of sunlight comes in from the big window & livable for a human being standards. LOL. Do they allowed tenant to bring their own personal furniture like a small shelving unit to put in the room? Thanks again!
Hello! Yes, you are allowed to bring a small shelving unit, reconfigure the location of things in your room. Anything reasonable to make it feel like home. The best part is that they have a storage in the building where they can keep your luggage for free so they don’t crowd the room

It's a lovely little room. I just wonder how cold it might be in the winter and hot in the summer.
It is a new building, therefore everything is super well isolated. My room is warm during winter and cool during summer. And the bills isn't that high either. I got lucky on this one. But the key is to find a new well isolated building when you look around for housing!
@@Missklei Oh, that's great. It's such a big window, so it could be a game changer. The other concern would be light too early in the am, but I guess a sleep mask could address that. So nice that you're sharing this wonderful place for others.
Nice video. HOWEVER, the whole point of a goshiwon is supposed to be that it is hassle-free and affordable. 550k won + deposit seems a little too much for a goshiwon and if you have that budget to spend in the first place, you might as well just rent out a proper studio.
It’s an apartment. It’s not the traditional Goshiwon. Landlords trying to make a killing now by turning them into apartments.

They have central AC. They are the ones controlling the temperature. You can only shut it on or off. However the room temperature was good when I stayed there in September (it was still hot outside). If you end up coming, i hope you'll enjoy your summer :)

Aside from deposit fee you need to pay it monthly? Or that 5 million won is the whole deposit for the entire # of mos. of your stay?

is it really 1.75 m for 5'7" in height ?
Standing up, head to toe, I'm about 1m72~ but laying down, your feet are extended. I would say if you are above 1m75, you will most likely not sleep comfortably. However you can also change the bed's position to get more room
Is there a Goshiwon for 2 people?
A typical goshiwon is too small to accommodate 2 people.
