The Barbers had thousands of cycles through the pay toilet access locks, pay phones and vending machines.
Guess what kids: We use to pay a dime to shit, talk on the phone and have a Coke.
I'm 18 and have $10 in halves and dimes, starting on quarters now. Super envious of this haul! One day I'll be able to get that!
One day with any effort at all you’ll be there and exceed what I’ve accomplished.
Congrats! You most likely have more silver than 99% of 18 year olds in the United States.....
Awesome man.
Be selective where you buy and dont overpay. To amass a collection such as this takes time and patience
Keep on buying a little at a time it will grow over time just be careful it's very addictive lol
Personally, I like stacking Canadian 80% silver, because you can get them for dirt cheap and you can even get some 92.5%ers in there for 80% silver price
Do you buy them locally? If not, please can you tell me where? :) found them on apmex at 18.75 face value.
@@MmeHyraelle that was, until covid hit. Now you can’t really get them dirt cheap anymore. Though you might still get lucky and find a sterling piece in there at an lcs.
I did stay up for the entire monster box.
I keep my junk silver in a treasure chest. The grandchildren like playing with it and running they're hands through it. Maybe they will catch the bug.
I hope they catch it!
They'll catch something by touching them dirty coins 😬
@@thedude232 "Silver kills germs when it oxidizes and releases silver ions, which are lethal to bacteria and yeast. ... Nanoparticles of silver, which can occur naturally, are more powerful than bigger particles because their large surface area relative to their mass increases the number of ions released." So yeah silver kills germs and also you act as if there isn't a such thing as "hand washing" you know when you use soap and water to clean your hand
@@RealAntek ok, next time you wipe your ass, don't wash your hands, just run your hands through silver.
@@RealAntek Copper is a killer too. New building designs are looking at the past; back to copper door knobs/push plates. Naturally lethal to many germs. A hospital I was working in was doing it. Also, years ago, homes had a piece of copper flashing on the sill plates which naturally kept out termites/carpenter ants.
This box brings me joy... like warm sunshine on a dogs belly on a cold winters day 🐒
DebbyAbqNM yes🤔
I've stacked over 1k oz of 90% constitutional silver since your first interview with the coin guy video. 👌🏻
That’s huge! Congratulations on that!
Impressive
@Blue collar Silver dollar 47 is the atomic number of silver. :)
I’m just getting started. But inherited almost 100oz of constitutional silver. Now hunting for bullion coins & just bought my 1st 5oz bar at spot. Fun!
@@hi-hosilver1994 This is very addictive, have fun! :)
Just started collecting coins! I literally found 10 1/10 oz gold Eagle coins going through an abandoned estate home and its jump started my interest for collecting coins! Your videos are always great and informative! Cant wait to be where you are someday!!
Wow what an awesome find to start you out! Very impressive.
That's sweet... you can't beat that
Confusious say "Don't date lady with third leg".
I definitely stayed to watch it all. I have several boxes of silver coins simular in size but they are stored away in a large safe that is hard to get to now, so I seldom have a chance to look in it anymore. This was like getting to look at some of my silver collection without having to climb over things in storage to get to see them!! So thank you very much for taking the time to share it with me!! Brings back all the excitement I have felt throughout the years as I collected and admired my stash! Lol ... Young people, listen, it is very important to start buying or roll hunting for silver now, even just one or two coins at a time in the beginning. Well worth the time and effort both as a hobby and the best store of wealth investment. So get busy stacking younguns!
Tell them!
Awesome collection!! I’ve been collecting over a year now and proud what I collected from box hunts and coin shops! Love all those Franklin halves!!
Silver coins is just adult LEGO
I wish I had a silver LEGO set of The DeathStar. Then, all the cool (adult)kids would come over to my house.
Except the fact that kids also collect them too
@@Frizzy678 im 14 and i stack
Cameron Pellowski that proves my point
I love both of those things very much 😂
You know, I'm 68 and up to a few years ago, I had only seen one standing liberty quarter. The one I did see was when I was about 13 years old, we were playing army and digging a fox hole and I dug it up. I watched the whole video. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Merry Christmas Gary.
5:03 I know this is an older video but you shouldn’t apologize for a long video, I personally love the longer ones! Shows dedication to the art 😁
Edit, video just finished, very good! Thank you for the heart as well!! I hope you have a great day! 🎉
I just put this on to start the day while I was working in my office. Listen to it all and learned a great deal. Beautiful collection and we'll done! Thanks!
This was great, the entire thing! Because I can put this on and work on cleaning out my own junk silver collection.
I admit it, after years of stacking, I FINALLY have been buying (almost exclusively as of late) 90%. Because I never stacked it, I didn't want to have to do the math to get one troy ounce of .999. When I learned that $1.40 face is the magic number, and premiums went as high as they are at the moment, it's a win for me!
My LCS has a "junk" bin with Peace dollars for $15 and Morgans for $16. Got a 1935 Peace and a 1878 CC Morgan in my last few trips there. Not worn culls either.
Buy all of them! That’s awesome
James Wawrzaszek CC in junk wow my LCS is to smart
That is incredibly cheap. I hope you purchased as many as you could because they are way more expensive than that online and at my LCS. They are like $30 online and $25 in store.
I stayed, Finally someone who loves 90% as much as I do.
I stayed. It's fun watching you go through all those different coins.
Yes I stayed because Like looking at it all.Plus learning Whitch ones best to buy for junk price.Like all your vedio an with coin Guy.But never can find his site to buy his coins. If u could give info would appreciate thanks!
Glad to see your entire junk silver collection. I made it til the end. I own a very small amount of junk silver doo it's nice to see all the different types of coins. I've been more of a proof/bullion Numismatists. Time to get me some junk! Great video
Wow plenty of celver coins..thank u for showing your all collection Sir.
I watched the whole video. Honest! I agree with mostly what you say about constitutional silver. However I look at Morgan and peace dollars differently. I buy them for the weight. I have over 300 Morgan’s and Peace dollars. A lot of them are culls. The year on the Coin does not really matter to me.It’s the silver!
It was so fun and entertaining to watch this unbox of your constitutional silver. Great video and cheers!
Walkers are my fav too. It was entertaining going through your stash with you! I've only been collecting for 2 years. So I'm a sponge and got some great info and advice from this video, thanks! :) GL & HH
I stopped stacking silver coins as they hard to find at a reasonable price. I now stack bullion coins, rounds, and bars and can buy them for little more than the current spot price. Enjoyed your video.
I am very new and am looking into start collecting silver coins, i am not sure what to buy? Some help on where to buy and best starter education would be great. Where should i start to buy?
What should I buy as as i just get started?
@@derricksowers9074 Until you are more familiar with different coins I suggest buying from reputable dealers. One of the best is JM Bullion. Right now they have 1 toz( troy oz) silver rounds of .999 silver for 18.84 including tax and shipping (they always pay that part). SIlver is $17.19 today so that is about 10% over spot price. A silver round is a coin made by a refinery not by a govt. They are nice to collect, come in many designs, and 18.84 is the cheapest price I am seeing for any 1 toz silver coin or bar at the present. I just bought 10 of these coins this morning.
Keep in mind that a coin and a round are different. That’s why a premium is generally added to coins.
@@Spegtacular So would the premium also be there if I ever had to sell them? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but are the coins easier to off load "sell"? Or I guess i should just ask why pay more for a coin if it dosen't make a difference on the end. Or is it because more buyers like coin collectors would also be interested in buying them, not just for stacking? By the way thank you @Steve S @SpegTacular for the replies.
I watched your video 2 times great 👍 video thank you for sharing. I am totally new to collecting and I never realized how much work goes into this hobby. But your videos inspire me to keep going and finding out about different years of coins and the history that is behind it. Thank you again. Be safe 🙏
Man that's a serious collection of constutional there I'm jealous lol, that's my new Year's goal to go heavy on the constutional next year for sure thanks for sharing
It can still be had searching rolls. Over the years I've accumulated quite a hoard. A nice hobby on a cold winter day.
Peace dollars and Benny's are favorite. Oh yes and the history of each coin kinda makes me giddy.
I feel the same way about the walking liberty half ..and the Franklin too, I just love them
Certainly a lot to like about old silver coins. I got a couple oz of US constitutional and now starting to build up a bit of British. I really like it. Also planning on getting another empty MB to fill up with it! Also like the idea of a treasure chest haha. Thanks for sharing the video really informative
3 cent coin and a Martha Washington dollar note are on my bucket list :)
Love your stack! Looking good! I love stacking constitutional silver. I want to get some barber dimes and the walking liberties. I do love the Washington quarters though. I’m always excited to get the standing liberties. Awesome video! You are stacked.
Thanks for sharing with us. You have a wonderful collection.
That capped bust was a great find. I would have picked it up too!
I just started stacking and don't really plan on getting constitutional, but watched the whole video. I knew very little on the subject, now I know a bunch. Your videos are great, thanks.
If you buy some, you’ll be hooked!
Thank you SpegTacular. I watched the whole thing- in three installments because I kept getting called away. That’s a great box of junk silver there! 👍
Flatten the staples in the 2X2s to prevent scratching☝️😀.
I should flatten the staples. You’re right on about that.
I did watch the entire video. So we were driving from Indiana to Michigan to meet up with Talking Bullion at a coin show. I picked up a brand new Dansco type 7070 album. Super stoked! So yeah that was a pleasure to listen and glance over at when traffic allowed. Nice timing from you on a long drive I had to do. Thank you! Ps you need more LOL.
Thanks SS! I could always use more. Good luck on the 7070!
I stayed and enjoyed all of it. Your enthusiasm is addicting.
Getting my daughters into constitutional! I love mercury dimes.
The tooth fairy would bring constitutional silver, or $2 bills when the fairy needed to pay bills.
@@RockyMountainBear great idea
defintly like watching stuff like this i am same way since ive watched your videos on jink silver ive been buying i love the history of these coins
You spoke about a pawnshop deal with barbers. Last year a went to a shop and got all of their quarters and a graded Korean War dollar. Payed $25 for the war dollar and when I got home I looked it up and it was worth over $110 or so. First ever big score in silver.
That's my kinda of stacking right there, we share the same silver soul! 🤣
I love the mercury dime. It's just a beautiful coin. I made 1 into a pendant and put it on a necklace for a lady friend.
How could anybody not like this! Great job getting all this silver!
Ha, just got my loosy-goosey junk under control. A few too many in zippy bags too. Got one funky barber dime, it has had a rough journey. Love my junk
Learned some things I didn’t know. I watched the whole video looking at my 1923 peace liberty thinking damn they made a lot of them. I love the peace liberty though. My best coin graded I have is a ms 64 Morgan
I live in Canada, there was a time U.S scrap silver was as easy to get as CDN scrap silver. Then all of a sudden there was none. just the odd half dollar here and there. Then one day a tub of U.S scrap showed up a few months back and I bought the whole tub lol, and now I have an amazing pile of U.S scrap and I love it.+
A true Treasure Box there!!! Congrats!!! Happy 2@2@!🥳🥳🥳🥳
I stayed. Awesome vid. 👍🏼 great “2nd hands on” experience. I like the way you explain everything.
I’m glad you enjoyed Chris. It’s a new world to some people.
Constitutional is the foundation of my stack, I absolutely love 35% and 40% silver just for the reasons you gave. There is not as many people wanting them. Silver is silver and the cheaper I can get it the more I get. I don't go for the old stuff with those premiums. Kennedy's Washington Rosies and War nickels are what I want, less wear and lower premiums. The reason for having them is for SHTF, weight comes first for me.
At least you’re sticking to your guns!
SpegTacular That is where my ammo is located 😎⛷💨❄️
To reduce the height of a stack of 2x2's consider crimping the staples. This also helps prevent the staples from embedding impairing their self into your fingers
my parents run a small restaurant and i use to find 90% silver dimes and quarters all the time, customers would literally HAND me 90% silver quarters at the register and i would have a massive grin on my face.
Many people don't know about 90% silver.
i would also get star notes, silver certificates.
it's been harder to find them these days due to the pandemic, there is a coin shortage (limiting the amount of coins the bank will give us) and people tend to pay with debit/credit cards more often these days.
49:30 does anyone else see Ben frank on the tear of cardboard?
Stayed till the end buddy. It was fun & interesting. You shared some really good points. I appreciate the time you put into this community.
Kennedy half’s are usually in the best condition. Morgan’s and Peace dollars are usually good too. I cherry pick the good ones and place them in capsules.
Omg all that constitutional silver was so beautiful 😍
It’s my favorite for sure :)
@@Spegtacular yeah mine too lol, mercs are my favorite. Wow my favorite video by far👍
@@Spegtacular just finished the video all the way to the end. That trime was awesome I gotta get one for my personal and the bust, well, u can still see some history
Wow! Thought I had a lot of Mercs! I got a 1990 Eagle with same tone as that Morgan
That one love token kinda looks to me like a bird with the beak pointed to the upper left!
This video made doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen much easier for me. My wife thanks you. Loved the video.
I'm glad to help!
No speg love the long videos cant get enough looking at your stack keep up the great work brother and stack on
I got that exact (empty) Royal mint monster box and ’m still working on filling it with my whole stack. I’m getting close. But it’s bullion, rounds different size bars and my 90%. I just don’t go for anything 40% because It takes up too much space. I do have one war nickel just because I found it so I threw him in the pot of 90%. I have everything sorted in there. Actually just ordered another empty box because I’m getting close and it’ll be my next goal to fill that one up.
hey sperg when i got 50$ of halfs during black friday all were walkers! lucky day
that's very awesome! good job.
NICE VIDEO i don't mind log videos especially coin shows! I always learn something ! BTW nice pile, your way ahead of me brother !!!!
Thanks so much Kevin.
I watched every second of this awesome video, it may be a year old but it had a lot of value to me :) Thanks much!
Yep
I only stack 90% percent constitutional junk silver. I totally agree that it is a waste to stack the 40% percent halves and also the war nickels. When I buy junk silver from my lcs, I always look through it myself and there is usually Mercury dimes mixed in with the the Roosevelt dimes. I usually pick out all of the decent mercuries. As for the quarters, I always choose the Washington over the standing Liberty quarters because the slq are always very worn, scratched, and have incomplete dates. Great video!
I love hearing how you look for the certain coins. Everybody is different and it’s awesome
Took me two evenings, but watched it all. Loved it!
Thank you Thomas!
I just couldn't look away....Very Nice !
wow real cool ,enjoyed the coin show, great vid thank you
When we're talking about silver I'd watch videos all night Only coin people realize this. Hey Speg love watching you go through your silver brother. Show some of your vintage copper if you have some. I watched where you got your old large cent that was awesome.
I’m sure I’ll talk about the copper stuff at some point soon :)
Thanks Rick!
In circulation when I ordered State and Park Washington quarters I received a few W quarters and they are worth over $100.00 because I saw an episode of Pawn Stars with Chumlee.
As far as 40% and 35% silver goes, I think the 40% halves are greatly underappreciated. The war nickels have manganese which makes them very difficult to refine. However, the halves are 60% copper so they're no more difficult to refine than "junk". You just end up getting some extra copper nitrate out of the deal when you cement out the Ag.
@ 34:59 never thought of that and not gonna worry about it
I watched the whole thing! I really enjoy 90% too.
Those First Union coin wrappers take me back!
The coin shop I went to one time had a bin of barber dimes and I saw a seated liberty dime and I bought it because I never had one before.
Nice man. This is a semi full-stack vid, huh? I need to up my junk silver game for sure.
Make it your base man! Make it your Death Star.
Quit buying those morbidly obese panda's and you can get some😂😂😂
@Gold Stacking I don't know what you paid. I was just making a joke with stacking stormtrooper.
@Gold Stacking they are beautiful coins for sure but I try to stay away from anything China.
Gold Stacking
here in the US, we have good reasons to maintain our anti-china opinions/sentiment!
It is difficult to find products which are not made in china - no matter whether it is garlic at the grocery store, shoes for our feet, or cellphones!
Also, outside the USA, china holds an unhealthy portion of our public debt; our politicians should have never allowed so much debt to be aquired by other than US Citizens!, but then politicians rarely try to do what is best for their own country anyhow!
On top of those problems, we can pile the huge number of counterfeit products (including metals) which china sends to other countries (including the USA)!
I watched you all the way, good video. Thank-you!😎
You put out some of the best videos. The coin guy videos are the best
I watched the whole thing. I love Morgans and Mercs.
Silver dollars are overpriced
All you need is to find one coin inside your collection of junk silver that would be of interest to a collector and you'll make more than you would in melt value.
I watched the whole video. Thanks for the info I learned a lot today.
Thanks for sticking it out ;)
I love silver too I listened and glances the whole length while I was searchin a half dollar box just got my first liberty round just because it has the walking liberty face , I have a mercury 1 oz round I like that design also it’s like a giant mercury dime.
I made it through the entire video! Twice! But a week or so apart. I listen while I work. It beats the listening to the other people gab around me.
Twice?! You love silver!
Yes I stayed I’m interested in what you collect . I buy ASE mainly but have a little bit of PEACE and Morgan’s , rounds and a lot of constitutional and don’t need any more junk . I’m buying cull of ASE at 1.75 over spot . $15.50 cull Peace and 16.50 cull of Morgan’s . I haven’t bought Rounds in a while but have Prospectors and some sunshine and I like a couple of premium Koooks koalas pandas .
yes I made it to the end...I love your knowledge...
I watched the whole way through :) Loved it, great job!
First video of yours I've ever watched. I've never smoked crack but from what i know about it i think this video is "silver coin crack"!! 😁❤️very addictive. Great show mate!
I am just the opposite on what I select with quarters. Since I am a stacker (at least for now), I am stacking as much as I can for a little as I can. So if I have a choice between a Washington or a SLQ, I’d take the Washington...more silver (normally).
Sweet save the Standing Liberty for me :)
Don’t apologize for the length, I’m here for all of this.
Great old video spectacular 👍
Excellent video!! I watched the whole thing I love constitutional silver
Until the end! Thanks!
I did stay for the entire video. I'm hooked on the stuff and I can't look away LOL
You need to get some Guardhouse boxes my friend 🙂 Nice collection!!! I just recently traded some Constitutional silver for some gold! Traded almost 4 1/2 lbs of actual weight for .60 ounces. Worked out well with what I’ve been paying for it. Thanks for another great video Speg!
Wow! Can’t believe you got rid of some Constitutional, but I guess you can have fun collecting it again!
Running Eagle I’ve still got plenty 🙂 Some day I would like to trade some silver for gold but I am waiting for the ratio to come down. However, if an opportunity presents itself, I may do it. The gold was Maple Leafs which I really like because they are pure .9999. The premiums have gone up on them quite a bit the last few months. So I haven’t bought any. Thanks RE!
Maybe one day you and I will trade your constitutional for my gold ;) I wouldn’t mind that trade at all my friend!
Nice collection's, I love them peace dollars, keep stacking and thanks for the giveaway again
You’re welcome and I’m glad we finally got through to one another.
I notice on the carded coins you have, and the coin guy, the staples are not crimped with pliers. They stack much better if you crush the staples
I stayed through the hole thing and learned alot to thanks for the great video.
Watched every second and loved every second. Great content, keep em coming!
Thanks for sticking it out!
Yeah i dont go out of my way for %40 but i keep it as i find it, i do however stack the %50 pesos! Cant get enough of them
Great video and yes I stayed till the end, maybe someday I can afford to buy junk silver thanks for the great tips
I literally had water come out my nose when he kept saying "3rd leg".
when my taxes come in, im going to wipe out the benjis, and morgans from my lcs. lol
