Such an incredible video. I don't know who could possibly dislike this work of art. What a beautiful sky & complex. Thank you ESO!
when I retire I'm just gonna lay in a field and star gaze
Beautiful! Blessings from New Zealand...
Amazing footage.
GOD. I LOVE ASTRONOMY
Going to travel there one day 💙
High on my bucket list.
Really beautiful photography. Makes me feel so tiny.
wanna loop and enjoy it for hours on a really big screen in a dark room with good acoustics...
HOW CAN YOU DISLIKE THE BIGGEST FUCKING MIND BOGGLING HUGEST DEAL THAT NEVER ENDS ENDLESSLY MASSIVE EVERYTHING THAT IS EVERYTHING INCOPREHENSIBLELY INCOMPREHENSIBLE OF ALL INCOMPREHENSION. WHOEVER DISLIKED THIS HAS AND IS NOTHING.
In addition to liking this psychedelic background mysic,I'd always enjoy the night scenery in the film every time,I got a familiar feeling of deja vu,as if I'd been with a group of companions at night in the distant prehistoric era.We lived as if we were living in a cave at that time, because handmade lighting equipments had not appeared yet in that era,not even torches,so we often stood outdoors and looked up to admire the beautiful and vast night scene in the amazing sky........
Absolutely not too long!
Beautiful, thank you ESO.
Wish I could make timelapses.
1) & 2) of LsBaba combined, Dr. J could have done the intro instead and we all would have been happy. Dont underestimate how connected, affiliated people feel towards certain hosts. We missed Dr. J!
Thanks ESO..! This was Magical
what kinda people dislike such beautiful images? they must be dead already
Agreed.
Beautiful images and beautiful music by:(John Stanford - Sea Of Tranquility)

Love the Magallanes clouds
When I die I want to get scattered there.
Amazing
wow atacama la silla. amazones and chajnantor
look @3:58 to 4:03 ... there are 4 dots appearing and the disappearing following each other ...it's above the second telescope from the left side counting , in the upper-half of the picture ...
you lucky southern hemispherers, I'd love to see them clouds
M42 - Orion nebula, with some infrared it seems
amazing
Hyperventilate to this stuff
and using hubble images is just bogus
What's the name of the nebula at around 6:33?
This is breathtaking video, added to my favorites and looking forward to new "Chile Chills"! Just the beginning could be shorter. What about absolutely no voice through the video? And just a short-time text telling us what ESOCast and Chile Chill episode it is?
More discoveries and documentrys please. Get more children interested
anyone could get these images from amatuer telescopes

3:01 3:02 Milky way visible daytime ?!!!
Yep
I was in Chile and I saw it during the sunset and late noon i was quite astonished
Yes! There's little light contamination
Hebrews 4:7
God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
TODAY WORD HAS NOT BEEN SOWN YET
please, less Tv Shows ... and more Discoveries
Very nice but could be better:
(1) Drop the first 20 seconds. Dr J did not appear in the video, and I really dislike the voice and style of the announcer... so insincere (to my native English ears, at least).
(2) At around 0:34, "Chile has the best skies on our planet". Best for what? "Best" by itself is meaningless. Such a statement is unscientific and not a good example of the excellent quality of work done by the ESO.
(3) Perhaps a little too long (by about three minutes).
Yes chula has the best sky. It has a lost of stellar bodies
