Astronomy is the most beautiful science there is. That staircase has also become my new number 1 on my to travel list. A big thanks to the ESA and the photographers for making something as stunning as this video happen.

Genius video. Great footage and amazing music.
But at the end of the day we have got to understand the purpose of our cosmos.. It isn't enough to point telescopes at all these objects in space and discuss what we have seen.. We have got to try do more than that.. Explain the meaning behind everything that has been created.. if there is a meaning of course.. But there should be a meaning after all.. Why not? Nothing is without reason in my opinion.. The universe has to exist for a purpose.. Questions like.. has the universe been designed to last for ever? And who designed it? Where is all the matter in the universe from? Where did all this matter that makes up stars and planets originate from? And who used up the materials in the cosmos to make the earth and to make us?
One obvious problem is that anything in our universe that's made from the materials we're made up of... cannot last forever... Flash and bone we are.. We are ephemeral.. We are exceptional organisms but surely not everlasting.. So it looks like our grand designer or designers did not have much choice when it came to the materials we were gonna be built from.. This is the sad thing.. that we die.. we suffer.. We break down.. We just don't last..
Maybe there are other universes in this same time and space... universes that look different.. governed by different laws of physics.. Where the materials available to potential creators are different.. materials we can never imagine.. elements completely different from the ones found in our cosmos.. materials which are ever lasting.. This suggests that there may be universes out there which are perfect.. Universes which never die.. which never decay.. everlasting..
But what universe did we inherit..? A brutal and harsh universe.. Dark.. Cold.. Littered with hot stars.. With radiation.. Vast and inaccessible.. Where everything seems to die.. Where everything cannot last forever.. Why were we so unfortunate to be born here? It is like humanity has been created to be punished.. To be born and to die.. Earth is a place of death.. A place of sorrow.. Who did this to us and why? I think it is really cruel.. It is really cruel that we have been made to exist here..

Humans are narcissists and want to see themselves in everything. That's why this narcissist beings MUST discover the meaning on even things that have no life; they WANT to find out even a rock has human meaning and purpose like a person.
