Please can you explain the effect of selpercatnib for stage 4 lung cancers
My mum was diagnosed with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2008 but was able to be treated and is now cancer free and still going strong 16 years later.
So it shows that just because it`s stage 4, you won`t definitely die so I feel like the stuff about survival rates being hard to work out is very true. You can still end up cancer free even if it does take a long time.

@@DevikshaOmya I honestly believe that the best way to have a chance is to be hopeful about things because having a positive outlook means your mental health will be better and having good mental health can also help your body. I know that it won`t be easy but everyone is here for you and your mother every step of the journey. My mum`s life song is Rise by Gabrielle because although she has been through a lot, she has never given up. It all honestly depends on what cancer your mum has and her age because someone who is younger might be able to get through it more easily than someone who is older. Because my mum was only 47 when she was diagnosed, it meant her body was more able to fight through the treatment. “You can be a victim of cancer, or a survivor of cancer. It's a mindset."

I have stage 4 Colon cancer with metatasis to my lungs. I also have a separate thyroid cancer. I have just had lung surgery. I am only 39 and I will fight as hard as I can. Prayers to you all.
Stay strong I had stage four colon cancer and metastasis to my liver. I was given six months to live in 2021 due to how big it was and the amount in my liverI went through 26 chemos a liver and colon surgery. I have other issues due to the chemo but my cancer has been gone for over a year now. Treatments were rough and surgeries were long but worth it. You can do it

My father was diagnosed on 05/01/24 with pancreas cancer, which spread to his liver. He had no symptoms apart from lower back pain, which is why he ended up in hospital. It's been 5 weeks yesterday. He will probably die within 7 days😢 he has gone downhill very quickly. We are currently waiting for a hospice bed as we can no longer care for him at home, It's unbelievable how quickly this disease has taken my healthy 65 year old father. Please cherish every day as it was your last. None of us know what's around the corner.

My mum died of pancreatic cancer too! she lived 6 months after being diagnosed. She is with God now as she received the good news of Jesus! She had the chemo therapy then she passed away soon after that. I didn’t think that helped her at all, instead, she got much weaker after the treatment.

There is a medicine called selpercatnib it will help. My wife is using it. It is very expensive but extremely effective.
