How to make this sound better:
Put the main melody one octave lower, put a synth preset on it you like and leave it for now.
Put a kick on every beat, something short and punchy. Put a compressor on it. Remove the kicks from the first bar or two of the “drop”
Copy this kick and make the copy silent, put the kicks you removed back here. Name this kick sidechain.
Make two midi channels of the chords, one being a piano, the other being a supersaw. (Look it up on CZcams almost any synth can make one.) Put these into two separate mixer channels. Put an EQ2 on each one and make them take up different space in the sound. Put a limiter on each one, find the box that says sidechain and set that number to the mixer channel where sidechain is. Turn the ratio knob to like 1:2 and lower the threshold until you like it.
You can go WAY more in depth with it. Put soundgoodizer on the main channel if you want, it works it is just a way simpler version of Maximus. Download OTT by xfer, it is less complicated that Maximus and more flexible.

Oh jeez. Well I'm gonna do my best in trying to remember all of that. Thanks for the advice though.

Did blud just say put Soundgoodzier on the MAIN channel? No, do NOT do that. Soundgoodizer is not for the Master. Just because it's simpler than Maximus doesn't mean it's better, it's quite literally just a shitty compressor. OTT is a good start. Sidechain is optional but if you want your shit to pop more its a viable solution for said pop. I wouldn't really advise putting some basic compressor on a kick channel, do more with it to fatten the kick and make it more punchy. Not everything needs a limiter either unless you just feel the urge to handicap yourself like that, so long as you know what you ACTUALLY know what your doing.

maybe lower it one octave and use a more round sound or filter the higher frequencies out

Good exercise in learning the FL studio workspace. I'm not sure if you imported a MIDI file or just copied tabs for the notes but it all sounds correct. I'd recommend you experiment a bit more with separating your patterns so that you can add them independently to the playlist, definitely add some percussion and change up the sounds you're using (e.g. the chords and bass should usually be their own instruments, not the same as your lead). Also check out the mixing rack and learn how to assign instruments & sounds to a channel track, experiment with putting different effects and EQ on them.
A lot of the learning experience for you right now is going to be exploring the UI and figuring out what stuff does. Watching pro producers on CZcams can help a lot with that. Beyond that, you need to start with basic music theory if you have limited musical knowledge (again youtube is a great source of material) and lastly, imagination and lots of time to experiment.
Good luck and enjoy, it's so much fun making stuff.

Instruments used are a little grating, but overall pretty okay for a first attempt!

Would sound a million times better if you copy and paste the chords to a FLEX pluggin preset and put the pitch lower.@@LivingGift
