    Thanks for the video! It helped me get my TFT70 working with my Octopus 1.1
    One note: you can get rid of one of the ribbon cables by choosing CR10_STOCKDISPLAY instead of REPRAP_DISCOUNT_SMART_CONTROLLER, then connecting the EXP_1 port of the Octopus to EXP_3 on the TFT. It has the exact same functionality, but less cable clutter :)

    Great video as always, but you might want to change the title and description to TFT35 from TFT32. Just helps with searches.
    Keep the videos coming :)

    Works with Octopus 1.1 and TFT35 E3 V3 (video shows the previous version V2 I think, as the encoder knob in the video is to the right of the screen. the V3 has the encoder knob on the bottom just like an Ender 3 pro screen

    I was curious if I have to change anything in configuration.h or configurationadv.h? Got an ender 3v2 with tft35v3.0 and it’s the last part of my compile. I’m assuming it’s not just plug and play? Boards a octopus pro v1.0 with 429 chip. Thanks

      Depends on what you wish to configure. It can go off in hundreds of directions. TFT has a configuration file as well as Marlin firmware.

    Like it? I love the tutorial. Still working on the whole "no printer attached" debacle, but in doing so I uncovered a hidden drinking game: Down a shot whenever he says "actual" or "actually". ;-)

      @@EdwardBraiman Tried all of them at this point, still no printer attached. When I want to restart the firmware to try if it would run it writes "mcu 'mcu': Command format mismatch: config is_config=%c crc=%u is_shutdown=%c move_count=%hu vs config is_config=%c crc=%u move_count=%hu is_shutdown=%c" That probably refers in some way to all the things it just had me delete one by one, while promising it will start to run if I do...

    For some reason, I can't get this to work with the Octopus Pro V1.0 with TFT35-E3 V3.0.1. It connected with the FW as supplied the first time I turned it on, but after going thru the TMC2209 and this tutorial, I can't get the TFT to connect. Pronterface connects, though, so I can verify the drive update happened. Other than the cables landing in a different spot, is there something else needed for the Pro?

      @@EdwardBraiman Correctly! But I've already solved the problem. I did not set a jumper correctly on the Octopus and therefore the processor was not flashed. Now the only problem I have is that the motors are not working properly.

    On one of your video you mention a power supply set up which video is that on please

    • @EdwardBraiman
      @EdwardBraiman  Před 2 lety +1

      All my videos talk about power supply in one way or another. As for wiring power supply for PSU for use I avoid subject because US standards are not the same for everyone. For example I was told by a user in Egypt they don't use ground. So I avoid subject. My preference is US electrical standards.
