Kaya has got be related to Bjorn, right?
No relation 😂
Michael and Kaya, it was a great pleasure meeting you at Kouka-en. Thank you very much for allowing us to enter the garden and admire the trees. It was an unforgettable experience. Your hospitality was as memorable as the trees you care for. Best of wishes for you guys from Margate, Florida.
Similar look to Bjorn…I thought I was watching him on occasion…nice video
I've had the chance to communicate via social media sometimes with kaya and Micheal and i can say that both are very great guys and their work on their pages are awesome and very professional👏
Nice video Bjorn, thanks😍
I really admire these enthusiasts……the level of dedication to the art…..and let’s face it - you would have had to learn Japanese before stepping foot in the bonsai garden.
YEAH a fellow Albertan !!! Live the dream brother, Keep it going man!
Great Video!
If I could relive my life, I would probably look into this if I'd known it had existed! What a really nice video.
Yay! Great to see you again Michael! Thank you for showing me around Fujikawa Kouka-en in Ikeda. -Kale
When are you issued your first lap dog?
Very cool video, thanks Bjorn!
Really great to see a fellow Albertan studying bonsai in Japan.
Looking forward to the next video.
This Kaya sounds nearly identical to Bjorn.
I can feel the pain they are hiding and the suffering they have swallowed for years. the difficulties they went through only they know and cannot measure in words
true, boys seemed sad to me
Beautifully made video!
Lovely video, as always. I would love to be an apprentice there....
Great Video Our Great Master🎉🎉🎉
Deve ser uma experiência incrível viver e estudar em viveiro tradicional.
This is a great little film.
The Japan videos begin enjoyed 😮
This is fantastic to watch and I really enjoy the different perspective this gives from the American bonsai content I've gotten used to. Your film making skills have gone to a whole new level. Exceptional mate, well done!
Observing the two environments(American and Japanese Bonsai), Japanese Bonsai seems like the strict dedication to their methodology will keep on producing high quality trees, but it looks like there's a stubbornness in Japanese culture in general to consider anything outside of the norm and does feel like it will inevitably stunt the natural progression of Bonsai as it has done in other areas. In the Japanese tech and automotive industries, they used to be the world leaders in the 80's and early 90's, but have fallen behind other nations. I'm just wondering if there's a correlation between that strict corporate culture and some of the crafts like bonsai, and the way their apprenticeships are presented. It almost seems religious at times with no room for individual expression or new schools of thought.
same voyce like Bjorn 😀😀 I mean Kaya
❤ im going to Japan in April i really want to go to a garden and see Bonsai in real life. Is there any that are open for public?😊
U don't hav to go all the way to Japan to see bonsai in real life. But I'm jealous u get to🥲

What a great insight in to the life of a bonsai apprentice, thank you for sharing Bjorn.
At 11:30 in your video, Kaya is using a watering lance that produces the finest jets of water I have ever seen, almost like steam. Do you know what the make or brand the lance is please?
Inspiring. Thank you 👍
Très intéressant, merci pour la vidéo!

What do you think guys? I'm chilean by the way
You are a guest in another country, so do as the romans do.
So true
Unless you come to the US. If you do that, make sure everyone there conforms to you. And we will, dont worry. Because that’s the American way (nowadays at least)
How fluent in Japanese do you have to be to do an apprenticeship?
