Don't get me wrong, I love all the videos, but these long "nerdy" immersion videos are the real reason I've always watched this channel, and they're always appreciated.
YAS, I like the longer "immersion" ones TOO!!
I second that!
Third
Well said. I agree 100%
Joining the train here
So I'm about to start my pilot training this fall, and it is at least 40% your fault. ;)
Who belongs to the other 60%? LOL
Only 40%.......
Hahahaha!
So did you fly yet? I’m starting soon.
Do you have your instrument rating now?!?
These types of videos help understand my IFR training better than any book or lecture...pure gold.
You're absolutely right about the immersive aspect Josh. I really like your style of aviation video production. Just the right amount of technical, educational and cinematic content that makes them so enjoyable. Thanks as always.
This was a very enjoyable, relaxing video. For those of pilots who can't fly anymore due to one reason or another, vides like this become our TV. You, FlightChops, Steveo1kinevo, Premier 1 Driver are my favorite Channels.
x2! and its extra special since i get to see familiar airports :D
310 Pilot is worth a peek as well.
I will check it out.
I forgot to include Baron Pilot. His videos are pretty awesome also
Thank you for your video. I stopped flying private pilot a few years ago. Divorced & broke. Now have the $$ to restart. Videos like yours kept the spark alive. For me, the urge to fly never left. I find myself always checking out the sky, especially the warthogs arriving & departing Nellis AFB here in Vegas. Fly safe.
There isn't an episode that goes by that I don't learn something from you. I'm working on my instrument rating so these flights are always a huge help. Thank you!
Dang, Gary, I must be posting in my sleep about a dream to get my Instrument rating! :D :p Actually, I was scrolling down and I couldn't figure out what I had been writing, and then I looked at the picture . . . oh, that's another Gary C. LOL
It has been many years since I flew, but thanks to your videos I can get airborne again even if it is vicariously. Thanx, buddy.
"Just for the sake of not going slower than a dude on a bicycle..." love it.
Hello, Mr Aviation 101. My name is David Kwon lives in S.Korea.
I started watching your video about a 8 month ago,
and I accidently(?) found a video where 11yo kid flying with you.
The word you used "ignition" came right down at my heart.
Because I always dreamed of becoming a pilot but few things blocked me.
But by watching your videos, i found a confidence and now
I am studying in pilot programme in ULZIN in S.Korea.
I always watching your video everyday, and whenever I am watching your video,
I always think that I made right choice to become a pilot.
Once again, thank you so much and
I just want you to know that you have a fan in S. Korea.
Thank you
Baron pilot T-shirt :) nice one Josh, astonishing sunrise views!
I’ve never heard PTAC before, but that’s really helpful. That long clearance gets me every time.
Beautiful morning flight very enjoyable.
I'm at the start of my IFR training, and this was just what I needed today. Wonderful to see it come together, and your verbal walk through was perfect. Many thanks!!
Yet another really enjoyable video Josh. Keep them coming!
Love these kind of videos with the approaches explained and longer flights. Great job once again, Josh.
Absolutely awesome video. I love IFR flying! I also enjoy the technical aspects of your presentations. Keep up the excellent work! Fly safe and fly often!
Beautiful morning flight. Love your videos. Thanks
Oh yes! I really enjoyed the immersion that you offer when flying like this one. You can really feel the motions specially in and above the clouds like this last one. My thumbs up to you.
Great job. Love the detail and your commentary at the end. Your great attitude in all situations makes your video a pleasure to fly with you. Thanks again. Good Job!
Love all your vids...........this one just a little more keep them coming and beautiful morning flight to enjoy! Fly the dream
Really appreciate your work. Thank you.
In my opinion . . . one of your best, Josh! Love your detailed descriptions of what is happening in each segment of the IFR flight with the graphics and instrumentation shots. Mix that with your mastery of video production and it is not hard for others to catch the aviation bug that you have obviously been infected with.
A fantastic video! I like these longer video's with more of the procedural stuff, plate clarification, reasoning out the likely approach issues etc. Loved it!
Josh your videos are wonderful informative and entertaining. Thank you for the hard work that you put into making these and putting them online!
I love your videos. The narrative with the video makes me feel like I am with you in the cockpit.
They just keep getting better and better!!
Great video Josh. I really enjoy all of your videos but I especially like the technical aspects of this type of video. Thank you for the channel as a whole!
I WAS immersed. Loved all the ATC and the continuous references to the technical stuff. Beautiful sunrise flight, cameras and editing. More like this please! Same thing with some weather would be cool. Rain, even snow, and how you handle it.
Very enjoyable and quite entertaining video, Josh. I love how you explain the things you are doing or what to expect when doing certain things because that brings flying closer to the people and it shows, that it is more than "just" flying an airplane.
Really liked what you said at the end of this video. It is exactly why I watch them. I am going through my instrument training, and it’s videos like this that are really helpful. Love to hear all the communications with ATC and Departure/Approach, what steps to take for staying ahead, and briefing the approach. Thank you for your style of sharing aviation with us.
I love this kind of video because it helps me greatly as I work towards my instrument rating. Love the channel Josh and I have learned a great deal about flying and becoming a safer pilot by watching your videos. Keep them coming!
Very cool video. Just the right mix of nerdy and cool. I love skimming that cloud layer.
These videos are some of the best I have seen, I love the immersive aspect and how everything is explained. Working up the money to start my training and I would have to say these videos only make me want it that much more!
Love the flight! Thanks for taking us along! Safe flying!
These are getting better and better!
I love this video.. Thank you for showing me how it's done. I learned a ton of IFR tips on this video... so good!!! I love the explanations of everything
Thanks for this video Josh! I’m grounded right now but your channel and videos like this keep me excited for wanting to get back up. This one makes me excited to want to go after my IFR cert too. Thanks and keep them coming!
Absolutely loved it! Thanks.
Really enjoyed this video. Working on my instrument currently and listening to how you do your approach brief was very helpful. Thanks!
Your right Josh, I enjoy immersing myself as if I'm there flying right along with you. Great video as always and appreciate the time spent explaining the complexity of flying and the procedures you need to follow. My wife enjoys the sound of your voice so doesn't mind me watching these videos constantly. Looking forward to your next video!!
I too, like the immersion vids. I find the nuts and bolts stuff fascinating. Thanks for the great job, Josh!
Thank you Mr. aviation for making these videos i learn something new every day keep it up I just learn something new watching your videos on a Jeppesson instrument approach plate so just keep up the good work and I can’t wait for your next video come out
Thank you for the detail of an IFR approach. It helps this VFR pilot understand how an approach works, at least an approach of this type. You communicate clearly and your expertise shows up with each video I watch. Again, thank you!
Josh, yet again this is a great video. Done so well, and you are very articulate. Thank you again.
What a great morning to fly! Love this style of video.
I am back and rewatching this video again (going thru my Instrument training) and have learned so much from your posts. Thank you!
i love these kind of videos i wnt to see more of these i love how you show the true aspects of flying from the takeoffs to the aproaches and everything in between im half way through my commercial pilots training just keep these videos going i really enjoy watching them
I like the commentary of each video. It is something I need to work on as far as reading checklists, procedures etc. It’s something you do very well
I've just started my PPL journey in the UK. Your video gave me goosebumps, and is everything I am looking for from aviation. I hope this message finds you safe and well, and continuing to enjoy your flying. All the best.
Thank you I really enjoy your videos
Amen on the long , technical, nerdy videos. Best of all. I like deadheading with you on the joy rides also but the technical talk is the best. Learn more via those entries.
So I've watched many of your more recent posts and decided to go back into your past library. I have to say, for any pilot, let alone a younger one, you get the most out of a very common 172 aircraft as it pertains to every flight details along with some light humor, coffee is a must for morning flights! Stay as detailed as possible so PPs like myself can still have the chance to pick up on something new as well as forgotten. Thanks, Josh!
Another great video Josh! Thanks for keeping in the whole IFR procedure/approach for us interested in getting our instrument rating
Love these kinds of videos. Thanks!
Love the videos! Been watching for nigh on 2 years now since about the time I started working on my PPL (Almost done getting my instrument rating). Keep up the good work!
Love it. Damn good job, wonderful narration. Beautiful flight, thanks for ride.
I like this one! I passed my IFR ride JUST before I deployed... Looking forward to getting back in the saddle and breaking through that San Diego marine layer when I get back! These vids help me keep my head in the game while I'm gone... And see another instructors perspective and habits, some of which I will incorporate. Thanks!
Great video Josh. Love the technical side of the flight.
What a great video. Thank you so much for the vocal checklist. This is a great watch before an IFR trip.
These are my favorite type of videos! Keep up the awesome work!
Ur an inspiration to many who come across ur channel. Enjoy ur technical aspect of flying and viewing all the details that go into ur work! Hopefully someday I'll get to meet ya and say hello! Keep up the awesome vids!
Great video Josh! Nothing like coming down through the clouds on a beautiful morning. Thanks for the ride a long!
Thanks Josh, nice video. Just received my initial CFI June 9th. I referenced your videos several times in my journey from Private to CFI the last few years..
Coffee is always required in the morning. Words of wisdom sir :)
This is my absolute favorite aviation channel. The film work and audio are outstanding. Puts most other aviation channels to shame. Thanks.
Love these type of flight videos
Loved this video - I'm a couple of lessons into PPL navigation in the UK and have PPL-level RNAV to do so appreciate some practical use of the nav instruments in the 172!
Gorgeous video Josh. A wonderful vlog to wake up to.
Love the raw educational stuff josh. Best regards
As someone just starting instrument training, I like these immersive videos. Let's me see how others approach the system and fly. Thanks!
Definitely my fav type of video Josh!
Another great flight.
IFR is so cool, thanks for this one. Cool to see on a six-pack with no autopilot, and the landing brief was a great overview of reading the plate.
Aviation101--good one. Thanks for the Skyhawk ride (I always like calling them Skyhawks rather than 172s). You are right--beauty on a nice morning. That ubiquitous Cessna caramel brown/cream interior and out-the-windshield view brings back lots of memories of flying with my dad.
Another good immersive video. I always enjoy seeing how the runway eventually just presents itself in front of you on an IFR flight.
I love this video. Great job
Great Video Josh, really was immersed in this one, felt like I was onboard the flight. Looking forward to more like these👍🏽 keep inspiring bro
Good job Josh, thanks for the lesson!
I love the longer videos Josh. I definitely learn a lot more with these ones.
Yeah man, I have my kneepad here taking notes along with you. Keep'n going for this! Precious content!
This is a great quality video, please post more similar to this. Currently studying and going for my instrument rating and this was a good way of understanding everything there is to know... thank you, clear skies from a Cessna 172N pilot out of KRIR.
Always enjoy your videos for its content, videography & professional approach to both your joy & discipline in flying. Also, I commend you for your networking savvy. You can never have enough business friends - keep wearing everyone’s marketing attire - it continues to demonstrate your professionalism.
I loved that ,this will help me a lot with the IFR rating ,thank u 👌🏾❤️
I like a lot of IFR content. The technical stuff. I like it a lot.
Excellent video as always. Enjoyable to watch such a squared away Pilot do his thing. Just got my IFR and am looking forward to my first solo in the clouds. These types of videos really help guys like me chair fly when I’m not in the air. Most important to me is the procedural commentary during an IFR flight with all of the ATC communications. Next Best thing to flying.
Great video, as usual. Interesting IFR flight, thanks.
Love the videos. I’ve been watching for about 2 years now. I am private pilot with about 105 hours. I got my tailwheel endorsement 6 months ago and am hoping to start my Instrument training next year. Thank you for putting out such good content. The airplane I fly is down getting a new engine so I’ve been grounded for over a month and your videos help with the withdrawals 😂.
My son and I enjoy all your videos!! As always well done. My son remembers how you explained setting up the cameras at TKI, and has a fascination with it! He’s even in media production now! Lol thanks for all you do good man! Happy Flying
Just picked up flying thanks to this chanel. Signed me up at a local flight school here in Sweden. Had my first ever test flight today. And it was amazeing. Wish I had done this earlyer in my life. Class starst in december :P
I just started working on my IFR ticket. Great informative vid! Tnx!!!
Love your work mate! On the days we're not in VMC here in Melbourne Australia, i come to your channel to get my flying fix. This video really hit the spot. Best wishes!
Awesome video! I love watching your videos I got my private license back in August and love your IFR stuff gives me a glimpse of what’s next. If your ever back up in Oklahoma stop at Altus KAXS we have an awesome little airport. We are about 10 miles from the Texas border on the SW side of the state. Safe flying and have fun!
Nicely done. Your cadence and delivery are excellent.
Thanks for the great videos
I liked it...great job flying us through your check list and thoughts. Cheers
Really immersive video, really helpfull as i haven't flown in almost 2 years, you really made feel like i was flying in TX again,
Also, on a morning flight, drinking coffee if you haven't done your morning glory yet, is a risky move, hats off for that
Great video. Like the format!
I felt like i was riding along with you. I want my IFR rating. This is a well put together video from start to finish. Your IFR flights in the 172 are my favorites. Thanks!
Loved the video. Glad you didn't make it shorter. Made me feel like I was right there riding along with you.
