- We take to the cornfield today for a little cornfield stealth camping! Early in the day we take a look around for suitable places to pitch camp and return at dusk to make it happen! A simple camp with a simple load out. Dutch Army Hooped Bivvy, Crivit Sleeping Bag, Klymit Static V Recon, Stanley Adventure Cookset, Hexi Stove, Water, Food & the stars above us.

Camping in a cornfield down here in Texas is likely to get you some buckshot right in your Cornhole! Especially those corn fields that have a special crop right in the center! Camp in one of those and you'll find yourself tied up in a basement as they're hollering, "get the Gimp!"

@@j.c.5480 Yes sir, down here in Texas you got to watch out for them danger noodles as well! But if you make a circle around your campsite with stuff that's very sharp. Stuff like broken glass, thorny sticks and stuff like that. It provides a deterrent for snakes. I've also have taken hot coals and hot rocks that I had put at the edge of the fire all night. I'll put them around the front entrance of my sleeping area. I mean not right up on the entrance, but a good two to four feet away to make a nice curved line in front of the tent. In hopes to make a secondary deterrent. If all else fails, I have a huge zombie Slayer machete and a shotgun.

I like how you said, "you have to listen to the footsteps and determine whether it is four legged or two legged. Four-legged you're okay two-legged you better get ready to go." I just saw an old picture, from the early 1900's, of an exhibit at the Bronx zoo. The exhibit was titled "The Most Dangerous Animal On The Planet". And the exhibit was nothing more than just a mirror. Very thought-provoking. And your comment definitely made me think about that.

Nice and simple, like it ! Carry a small amount of tin foil with you, you can use that to make a make-shift wind shield, light blocker. weigh's nothing and easy to from to what you want. Great vid bud keep them coming.

Hey I was curious, did you hear about Steve from camping with Steve? He lost his wife, whom he refers to as "beautiful wife", last week? In the last video he put out was talking to his followers about the sudden death of his wife. But no indication as to how she passed away or why. But I'm not going to lie, I've been thinking about doing some stealth camping videos to send him in honor of his wife and to keep his channel going with content while he's going to this intense time of grief and mourning.
Hey brother! I did see the video, I could not believe it when I saw the title, then after watching it, shocking. Really wakes us up to the realisation that the time could come any day. I sent him my condolences and I think that's an awesome idea to make some videos in honor of him and his wife. Hope you and yours are all well in TX man!
@@TreeDeepOutdoors me and my son are doing pretty good. My daughter just had her first child a little baby girl that she named Milly. And it is my first grandchild as well. So a lot of emotion and excitement down here in Texas. And yes, believe me, Steve's video and the event of bringing new life into the world, it definitely makes you realize how fleeting life can be. And how you truly need to embrace and revel in the moments that you have!
Looked peaceful. Don’t know why you guys worry about getting caught so much it’s not gun country like here in the states. Anytime you can stay the night in a cornfield without circles or probes is good. Have fun stay safe.
