    Its difficult for women, because will have to marry the guy who can adapt as per her schedule and postings. either he has to be house husband or some flexible job

      You have the option to take an India based cook/maid but on your own expense. However, it's a very elaborate and tiring process based on the country you are posted at.

      @@Realndeep99 No, the government provides only visa to take a maid abroad. The officer should pay the maid and provide accommodation based on the norms stipulated by the country the officer is posted at.

      Ofcourse but only parents, no one else.

      Yes no problem at all. You can have your entire family at your accommodation except some non family stations like Syria, Iraq, etc.
      Moreover, if your parents are totally dependent on you (there is a criteria for that) then the Ministry even gives their travel fare to and Fro.

      They get to study in the best schools in the country and get shifted to schools with the same curriculum during another posting. It won't be a problem.

      By family if you mean spouse and kids, yes. If you are asking about your parents, either they should be financially dependent on you or a single parent who is emotionally dependent on you.

      For IFS or any of national roles, English is necessary unfortunately. Because English has become the language of the world. By no means it’s a symbol of elite today. It’s just a useful thing for the role

    Say for example , I belong to obc category so the upsc age limit is 35 for obc..
    Above rule is applicable for ifs job or is there is any concern is there..

      What lead you here in the first place? Most probably its because of your inclination towards civil service. Perhaps you're, you should know India doesn't permit dual citizenship. Its there in the part 2 of the constitution, read it.

      It applies to all govt services
      ...they do allow to go for higher studies ,if u want.
      My cousin is an IAS officer..after 7 years of service.,he went to USA for higher studies...now hes back in office...

    I am a single child . And my parents are Government teachers . They get pension every month . But if I go to abroad then there will be no one to look after them ..... So can they go with me on government expenses ????

      1. Ofcourse, you can take your parents along. But in your case, both your parents are not economically dependent on you, they get their own pensions. Unfortunately, MEA doesn't provide for parents who have their own income to meet their needs.
      2. Your parents will be cleared to travel along and stay with you but on your own expense. There is no possible way MEA will take care of any of their expenses like travel, accommodation, medical and others.
