Sir, I read from a random site saying that you started your career as a researcher advising government agencies, later joined MEA for a short term assignment as well.Since you had worked with Foreign service officers, and me being an IFS aspirant,would you please explain the reality of IFS officers,like what they exactly do,how is their lifestyle, pros and cons of this service (in your point of view), because there are many things that other officers couldn't convey it in a better way even though they tried it and still didn't came up well.So I hope you can tell exactly how this service is all about.

Sir I have few questions about diplomatic passport.pls let me know.
1) If someone posted Indian mission at USA and hold a diplomatic passport can he use his passport for personal travel in any other countries?
2) Will he get same treatment in other countries (during his personal travel) due to his diplomatic passport as he getting in posted country?
3) Can someone use his diplomatic Passport if he is no longer in service?
1. He can travel using it.
2. There will be some difference but you will be treated the same at the airport.
3. Yes but only with permission. Normally it's cancelled when you leave.

Kindly provide an insight into the LIFE OF A DIPLOMAT. I have my grandmother, mother and 2 younger siblings in my family. IFS attracts me however, family is a big concern. YOUR ANSWER WOULD HELP ME HAVE A SOUND SLEEP. Btw great channel. :)

Depends on the country. Most countries don't do it. I would not recommend it.

No. Once you leave, you can carry on life in the private sector.

No Only IFS officers can have Diplomatic passport..No for regular or private tour you have to use the blue passport..IAS officer need to use Blue passport for foreign travel
