In 2017 I tried something similar but juicing all types fruits and vegetables in my Breville Juicer. I did it for about 3 to 4 months while lifting weights about 5 times a week with cardio 3 times per week.
What i noticed at the end was that I lost a substantial amount of muscle mass, I looked scrawny and unhealthy compared to when I had started and I felt tired throughout the day which lead me to have to take naps which was something I was never having to do prior.
Also juicing vegetables and fruits became extremely expensive so it lead me to befriend my local grocery stores which gave me better pricing if I ordered cases of fruits rather than buy small portions.
After about 3 to 4 months I decided to return to eating meat and within a few days back on meat I noticed I was already looking bigger and leaner and my strength was coming back.
I felt so good eating chicken again and for me this was the proof that meat (protein from animal products was SUPERIOR to any fruit or any Vegan protein)
Everyone body is different some people can do only Vegetables and fruit no meat or carbs some people body need meat protein I know a guy hasn't ate meat in 20 years no carbs and he says he feel great for me my body needs meat if I don't eat red meat in my didn't I will catch colds fast so don't listen to everyone

From what your saying your buddy eats a Vegan diet which contains a whole variety of grains, nuts and a ton of other foods.
No Vegan eats only Watermelon alone, it is impossible to get all the important nutrients that way.
Kali will do this for a couple weeks then he will be back to eating fish and rice.
thats all true....U cannot do unatural 5 days a week weights and cardio eating a natural fruitarian diet...believe me i did the same thing as you...a balanced diet is the approach!!!
that’s why i’d never go completely vegan. probably pescatarian or just any diets that have some sort of lean sources of protein.

When I first discovered this dude, he was chopping up 10k calorie prison industrial complex meals and was a massive muscle bound hulk of a man.
Never in a million years could anyone have convinced me that one day he'd be chopping up giant slabs of watermelon and eating nothing else.
It's all about balance Kali, somewhere in-between the 10k calorie prison meal and the slab of watermelon is a well balanced diet.

I went through this vegan/fruitarian phase.After about 6 months to 2 years,thats when the problems will kick in.(no libido,low testosterone,prostate swelling, cant sleep,wont build or maintain muscle and you will feel like complete crap) as soon as i started eating organic grassfed meats,organ meats, seafood,raw milk,butter. My strength came back,my health came back. This fruit fast phase is only meant for short term,dont do it long term.Humans are designed to eat meat, it is our natural way of eating.
Yea I’ve heard nothing but bad if done for an extended period of time, like you said it’s only meant to be for a short time, like a week or 2, but 30 to 60 days is asking for trouble
I've been on it for six months no meat... no dairy... nothing thats not growed out the ground...I have more muscle mass than I've ever had and I'm down from 285.. to 220... going for 200... my energy level is unbelievable...I can work a12 hour shift.. go home ...work in the yard digging for 2 hours... workout for 30 minutes and then play football or jump rope with my kids... I'm 44.... so... diffrent strokes... for different folks... but once I get to 200 I will start incorporating mushrooms and other vegetables high in protein
Exactly I've been eating organic foods only and it's crazy how much energy and no brain fog anymore! compared to process bad foods they make these days. I won't go back to those kinds ever again.

This is why when it comes to fruit, veggies, and Meat whatever you eat don't think it's perfect because of what you hear. Kali is on point why do I want a watermelon without seeds? Some people think just because they eat fruit and veggies they are good for you and healthy not always the case. With your meat, fruit, and Veggies try to buy the best you can whatever you eat.

For people watching - you really don't need to do something like that - just a avoid saturated fats, trans fats and cholesterol if you want to avoid arterial plaque buildup. You can still eat things like chicken breast, fish, protein powder, legumes. Very low intake of protein for long periods of time leads to muscle atrophy, especially if you are an older individual. Obviously this guy still has a ton of muscle from before and lifetime naturals probably shouldn't be doing extreme stuff like what he's doing, especially older people

There hasn´t been a case of protein deficiency in the 1st world for centuries now except for anorexics. Protein is in all fruits and vegetables. Even Watermelon has a little bit of protein in it.

Be carful with your sodium levels if your only eating watermelon. Too much sodium is bad but depleting yourself of sodium could cause risks.

If you drink water to the point that your urine is clear, it’s a sign you need to slow down and get some sodium in your body. I try not to even drink plain water much anymore, so I usually just drink unsweetened tea that I make myself because it’s more benefits to it. A gallon a day is good, but for me I go a little under a gallon and do the rest with tea. A trick I learned was to add a pinch of salt to your water as well.

I've scrounged through the alternative health underbelly on youtube since probably a decade ago, and went fairly deep down that rabbit hole. Can't say that I ever thought I'd ever see Kali muscle going down this path.
