Yes! Get the silicone lubricant only when it comes to your shocks. Regular wd 40 or any different lubricant that's not silicone specific or specifically for your shocks (anything similar) will destroy anything rubber near your shocks!

Vehicles without grease fittings! I have a 98 town car that has had this come and go. Bushings are spent obviously, I've packed grease etc. Thanks for the video. I know it is inevitable to replace the idler arm with new upgraded part with fittings, but I didn't use this product. Difintitely going to give this a shot. Seems what I've been doing is making it worse. Nothing more annoying than having all other issues on vehicle resolved but you have a noisy front end. If one doesn't do this themself for five hundred dollars it will cost a grand to have a shop replace bushings.

I think it sould be mentioned that this is a good way to 'care' for your vehicle as basic 'maintenance,' but won't substitute for a bad bushing or worn joint or tie rod end - which can cause a loss of steering if they fail.
Most ball joints are unservicable today and only require a little elbow grease
This might take away the symtoms for awhile but I wouldn't recommend that for worn out pieces in the car.
Replace them and be on the safe side.

My 10 tundra is making a low squeaking noise when I go through big bumps. My first thought was maybe the low ball joints or arm control. But not too long ago the truck was serviced and inspected at the shop, everything is good. I’m gonna give this a try tomorrow thanks.

The stabilizer bar that runs all the way across the vehicle usually has bushings on them too that’s my issue. They are new and I didn’t grease them. Maybe check it out

I bought WD-40 Silicone and other Silicone sprays and it stopped the MAJORITY of the EMBARRASSING

If you do a change out on upper control arms make sure you change the bolts. To adjust your camber. On E bay There is a company. Called McBay performance the bolts have zert fittings that also helps with camber and helps to lube bushings

Yes it worked really well. I used pb blaster but basically the same thing. I soaked my wife’s car bushings with it and no more noise.

7878 stew the noise would go away immediately and stayed away for a month. I replaced the part when my wife got really mad at me cause after a month it would come back. Still it really helped out to temporarily rid of the problem till I had the money and time to replace the part on my wife’s car.
7878 stew I really sprayed covered the inside of the joint between the crack and sprayed a lot into it was literally dripping and flowing after I was done. Your rubber might be too far gone as well and just need replaced too

Folks, this is not WD- 40 penetrating oil per say, this is Silicone spray made by WD- 40, it will Lubricate and Extend the life of All Rubber like CV Joint Covers.....

I have 3” level with Motofab upper control arms that are new and trying to find where the squeak noise is coming from. I sprayed the wd40 silicone spray on the upper and lower control arm bushings and I still hear the noise. Possibly the upper control arm needs grease or the bushing went bad already less than a year
I had my rear rotors replaced last summer & this winter I hear squeaking periodically. Could this be due to sand/dirt ? They use sand instead of salt in my area as I live along a shoreline. Perhaps I need to hose any dirt away & spray. Thanks for sharing your video.
Just lubricate it, the cold is probably drying up the grease and causing it to squeak, if the noise comes back within a month then theres something actually wrong

I just got a greese gun greese the ball joints and all the rubber joints and still squeaks and then I seen your video. I will try it and let ya know how it goes. It squeakes turn up and down and it's getting loader. So I'll go get this can of spray and try it. I'll let ya know how it goes. I'll try to do a video of my squeak before and after test and show ha what I'm talking about..till then thank for the information.

I just replaced the upper control arms and lower ball joints on my 06 Ford ranger and 4 months later I have a slight squeek when going over big speed bumps it makes no noise when I bounce the front end but while driving I hear it
I don't think this is where my noise is coming from but when I find it this stuff might help
I did what ya said and it seem when you turn the steering wheel all the way to the right or to the left it still squeaks. I sprayed the spray on it and it still does the squeak. I'll bring it to the dealer where I bought it from and they'll take a look at it. I'm kinda passed. But at least I sprayed everything be for I ran out of the spray.

I just happen to have a can of that. And my front end squeaks pretty loud when I go over a speed bump or coming in or out of a drive way. I have 3 nasty speed bumps where I live that I have to drive over everyday. They aren’t the wide flat speed bumps they are raised and you have to almost come to a complete stop then drive slow. I have a 2018 it shouldn’t be making noise. I blame the speed bumps! I will try this tomorrow morning thx for the tips!

U can actually press out and press in new bushings.. temperary fix, and dirt will cling to the lube u sprayed all over everything causing a worse squeak
I heard from the grapevine that the control arms on the newer silverados are not serviceable
The best thing you can buy is heavy duty axle grease that stuff is cheap and it’s the same stuff that come from the factory for some joints
and some resists water and fast movement
Hey, gotta question for ya big dog. I just two inch spacers on the front of my truck to level it. Now it’s squeaking like you’re saying since adding them but it also sounds like it’s popping when I back up and turn the steering wheel either direction and only when backing. You have any knowledge on what it may be?

Squeeking while going in reverse thats u-bolts. Told toyota they looked at me like i was crazy and tried to charge me $1800... got it done elsewhere for 600. Then Toyota had a recall... save your receipts. Got my money back lol.
The increased track width from the spacers may be causing the tire to rub against the fender while turning
When you lift or level the front end it Puts the entire front suspension under stress all your steering upper and lower control arms etc…….. keep everything lubed it should be fine!
On the 7th day we must go off road
Not sure if your truck has torsion bar suspension on the front but that cracking/popping sound could be coming from where the front end of the torsion bar fits into the lower control arm "socket" . Some trucks seem to have noise issues from there due to the extreme torsional force put on that control arm "socket". Good luck.

According to the website WD40 is safe on rubber.
The only materials which are mentioned as being affected are
polycarbonate and clear polystyrene. However since it is a petoleum
based product I would agree wth Alex Rogers and avoid contact with
natural rubber.
Yes, petroleum products will erode rubber. Use silicone.
Be care full because if the tour breaks are squeaking you just need to replace them but driving without replacing them will end up costing you more

Allright I'm gonna try this on my 2005 Ford Freestyle.
The front driver side wheel is Creeking like a mofo. But it only does it either when it's real hot outside or when I've been driving it for about 45 min straight.
I had a buddy look at it..he saw nothing wrong.
Then just today I took it to Midas and Clearly explained to the office guy what the issue was. I told him, I know I need new breaks soon, but it's Definitely not the same sound. & The brakes can still wait a while. They aren't That bad.
They called me and insisted that the problem was breaks, pads, rotors and one back caliper. I told them I really don't think that's it. I had another car do this same shit and the whole fuking wheel broke off eventually. But they said they inspected it thoroughly and this Should fix the problem.
Ok, I say do it . Hopefully it works.

They charged me almost a thousand dollars to fix something that could have waited.

I take it back...turns out the office guy did not communicate the problem correctly. He didn't think it was necessary to explain the sound I was talking about. He just told them noise from front wheels. He probably figured "oh they'll drive it, inspect it and they'll figure it out" But it takes 45 minutes of driving before the sound starts!
Fucked thing is, I'm moving to a small town about 3 hours away- out in the middle of no where, next week! I gotta drive over a hundred miles on a little two lane highway , with lots of traffic, going 70 mph.... With my kids in the car! And I spent the majority of my car repair budget on something that could have waited a few months.

He said it won't do anything, but I sense it will at least lubricate the mechanism, decrease the heat and ease the friction on the metal and hopefully decrease the chance of the damn thing falling apart on me. But what the hell do I know.
The creaking is probably not the breaks. The shop may have been greedy.
My Nissan Titan 05 is doing the same only when I do turns or go over bumps or slow driving I hope this fix the problem

Does the WD-40 White lithium grease work aswell?
I have some squeaks when driving over bumpy road but not over speed bumps. I ordered this WD40 Sillicone Special and I hope it will fix it. It is not too bad and it almost fully dissapear when I drive for more than 10 minutes but Id prefer it without any squeaks at all 😅

My mechanic installed new control arms from Autozone on my Corolla that squeaked immediately and non-stop. I sprayed the bushings with some silicone spray, and the noise seemed to go away for a little while, but came right back after a few weeks.

I know this was 2 weeks ago but squeaking coming from new control arms are acceptable if you did not put grease in between the bushing and mounting points. Itll wear down and stop being noisy. Mounting them without grease is better in my opinion. It allows the bushings to do their job better. The grease will cause the bushing to slip instead of grab onto the metal like its supposed to.

I hear squeaking noises when I drive by 2008 ford focus. It's very hard to hear, but it's mostly when I drive over rough road and once I heard it going over some train tracks.

If you own a Dodge 1500 pickup like me, first check the tension in the spare tire cable. It can come lose and result in large squeaking noises as tire rubs on bottom of bed.
Plus the spare tires hold grime salt rust sludge
What do you recommend if this doesn't work. I've been spraying silicone on my truck after wd40 wasn't very affective. Changed the strut mount plate and the squeak is somewhat there after that but not as bad. Been going at this for like 3 months of squeaking maybe. Everytime it bounces or if I rock it side to side I can hear it creakin lol
May potentially please be a ball joint replacement or so help me a strut mount bolt

I had to tighten a rear shock to fix a sound once too
Grease your drivetrain and if that doesn’t do it might be transmission slow death

White lithium grease (cheap), Sil-Glide brake grease (med) or anything with Dielectric grease ($$) really repels water great and won't wash out easy. GREASE....not oil lasts....

I was suggested to use the white lithium wd-40 to stop the squeaking and it did not solve the issue. Hopefully this will do
