Our car was garaged for a while since the injector needs to be replaced. When it got fixed, rear creaking sounds came out all of a sudden! This is perfect for us! Temporary fix for ruined bushings for sure. But this could easily be a preventive maintenance especially on tropical weather heavy sun and rain would ruin bushings.
Thank you this really worked for me. My 2006 CLS 500 was making all sorts of suspension noise. I had the sway bar links replaced which was necessary, but still lots of suspension creaking and clicking. Repair shop recommendation was to replace other suspension components starting with lower control arms $1394. I decided to give your approach a try; used WD40 Specialist Silicone Lube ($9) and found a Jiffy Lube which agreed to do it for me ($60 plus tax). Result =95% of the suspension noises gone almost immediately. Thank you! Saved over $1300
Thank You for your very valuable info input also Sir. I, myself not being a mechanic and without being able to find a rack to use, hopes we're futile to none as no repair shops won't do this kind of work, as I've been finding out, they only really just want to literally "rape" someone in only replacing parts !
This worked for my 2004 sl500 no damage just dry ball joints. After heavy lubrication squeak is gone. Thank you.
Thanks! I was obsessing about trying to find the exact squeaky bit. MUCH easier to just squirt silicone everywhere. The worst it can do is not work and then I'm no worse off. Well, the price of a burger worse off. I can afford that :)
Hi Dan
Although not a benz my Camry was creaking groaning & knocking from the front sprayed every rubber bush i could see inc down the strut tower
Guess what.....cured now drives like a dream ::))
it worked on my Volvo XC90. Thanks dude
I was skeptical, so I tried it, was less skeaking for 1 day, Just reapplied today and it's almost no skeaking, need to find a lift to really get after it. Used wd40 silicone specialist. Thank you for the tip !!!
YESSS THIS METHOD WORKED FOR ME I got WD-40 Specialist Silicone Lube Sprayed a whole can on everything I could, it worked thank you 🙏🏼
Pp0
Did it stop squeeking as soon as you put the lube? Or did you wait a couple of days??
Did you have to wait a few days or was it instant?
we need update on this!
I've just sprayed normal wb40 all over my parts and it worked instantly
This works works works ! This saved me pulling up sounding creaky asf everybody looking and stuff my ball joints weren't busted or nothing just dry asf
Shamilia Miller Id go over speed bumps even taking them slow and I’d get a horrendous squeak the whole parking lot could hear. Jack the car up took wheel off sprayed all the rubber bushings and everything else that was rubber with silicone spray no more squeaking. I can now take those speed bumps with silence.
Lmao so true!
@Ryan I started this process 2 hours before test and had taken test within 3 hours so it lasted that long
@Ryan did it work man??
We're exactly do you spray on too?
Worked great on my 08 Honda Odyssey. Thanks!
Thanks my dude, this helped me out a lot!
I did this BEFORE seeing your video. I inspected our 2008 ford edge for the same squeak and came to the conclusion it could be the lower control arm. I sprayed it and it disappeared. Now, the symptoms of a bad lower arm is clunking, tire wear, steering issues, etc. None of that has happened on our edge but we must keep a close eye on these symptoms or lots more money will be spent on repairs.
Best video I’ve seen in a while.✌🏽
Keeping it simple. I like it.
Would this happen when steering too like it sounds like this ?
This worked like a charm on my 06 S55 AMG. Yesterday had that awful sound coming from the front driver’s side. Pushing on it made the same exact noise. A can of silicon line from Home Depot $3.98 a can and she’s rolling and quiet! Thank you for the quick inexpensive fix!
Silicon *lube
Can you do it without removing the wheel I’m afraid if I go to a shop an ask them to spray they’ll just lie and tell me this won’t work etc mine only creaks and low speeds but it’s so annoying I don’t think it’s broken or need replacing
If silicone spray doesn't work well, try putting some AT205 Reseal in a spray bottle and applying it to the bushings. Usually takes a day or so to work but more durable than silicone.
It's 5 times the price
@@paulgilraine3127 Yes but cheaper than replacing bushings. Silicone usually works for me.
Alright "Scotty" 😂
@@craigerylee4013😂
As soon as I read "at205 in a spray bottle" I started hearing scotty's voice in my head! 😂 @@craigerylee4013
Great video. My 2007 civic just has the squeaking sound form the rear side(when have the rear passenger then no squeaking sound found). Do you think is this cause by the old bushing too? Thx
Without looking at the car in person I couldn’t say much for the other suspension parts, but looking at the way the front bounces up and down after you stopped pushing on it, I’m fairly certain you need new front struts and mounts. Especially if the front end dives excessively when braking, and bounces up and down multiple times after hitting bumps.
That’s what I thought… I replaced both struts and the creaking was still there.
@@bradenkay1203I have the same issue, it's frustrating
Thanks bro! I'll pick up some of this spray and see how it goes. 👍🏼
How's it working so far
@1:04 the music and scene kicks in, and I'm in the Mercedes zone 😎
Some people in the comments are misleading by saying you eventually need to change the parts. In some cases you do but sometimes the noise is debris, corrosion or rust build-up between a bolt and nut or area by which the bolt portion proceeds. For example, the hole where your outer tie rod bolt/nut goes into the steering knuckle can be loosened, cleaned and ubricated to get rid of the noise without changing the part (sometimes I even use sandpaper to clean the stud part of the tie rod so that it fits smoothly back into the steering knuckle). Only this process takes a little more than spraying and you should have some automotive mechanical skills (as you may throw your alignment off if not done properly).
Especially on Mercedes
Oh dude!!! Thanks so much!! I replaced everything a couple years ago and can't find any problems. Nothing loose....this must be it. Thanks for sharing and putting your time into this video for everyone.
Was that it cuz? I have the same issue
@@ImLiterally.Him. I'm still getting some noise on passenger side. I took it a set further and injected the ball joints with lithium grease. Maybe I need to take a rip on a rough road to work it in. I hope so....it's maddening. Lol
@@TheMobilTrader did this solve your problem? haha i’m having the same trouble
Les Schwab changed my front and rare shocks on my f150 including one of the leaf springs . Now it makes squeaking noice on every bump k go thru also a popping noice from the front every time I hit the brakes little harder. A shop checked my front shocks and supposingly weren't tight enough but the problem remained afterwards . Any suggestions?
Good video, going to try it on my 04 Mustang.......thanks. Tom in OR
Hello, is it okay to spray the silicone lube into the shockbreaker?
I did this on my 2015 Audi A3 -etron and worked an absolute treat! Thanks mate...great advice!
Dude I've got 2016 a3 saloon and I have a question. Did the noise disappear for good or is it just a temporary fix. What is your opinion after a couple of weeks?
M I hi mate, still haven’t heard a peep...it’s so worth it even if it meant spraying it once a month in my view :)
damn it looks like it gave you more suspension travel too or atleast everything is working now it was probably binding up and just so stuck thank you for this video man I just picked up a car kinda barn find n she's squeaking like no other
How long would it last
fixed my problem, such a good video!
So my front left was squeaky on my mazda and apparently at first it sounded like a “ball joint” issue , but i used blaster silicone lubricant and sprayed tf outta the suspension above the tire area so musta hit something right? . Didn’t even take any parts off, and the noise and problem has been gone for a couple days now. I even been driving it around to test it out
That is only a temporary measure as you will need to get it fixed eventually. As a rule-of-thumb it is sensible to keep all moving parts lubricated to prevent the costly trips to the garage over the years with any vehicle.
Are you making more videos for this car ?
Thank you, that really help me :)
It works.. thanks .. my only question is how often do you have to lubricate them..
Semi annually I say
Thanks so much it worked 😊😊
I will try this tomorrow or this week in give up date soon i hope it works 🙏 hopefully ball joints are not busted up lol
Thank you for the song alone!
I have air lift bags in the rear if I pump them up the noise gond but at default like 5psi the nois so loud from driver side
I Will try 👍
Thanks mate. I got a Mercedes benz c200 w203 that has the exact same squeak and I did check if anything was loose and so far nothing. Will give that spray a try.
Did it work
Great hack, tip & trick
can I use WD40 White Lithium Grease ?
Can I still drive it as normal without lubing it
So how long does this last
Good Job man, going to do this to my ATV :)
love your video from a to z and music
Just wondering if all of that silicone spray will cause dirt to collect during warm weather and wear on those bushings.
If your bushing is squeaking and spraying it with lube takes care of the noise, dirt was likely able to get in already. I don't think spraying it with lube would make that problem worse.
Had a question you left a link to the lube you used but i click it and sends me.to a WD-40 can and you said not to ise that so where did you get that silicone lube
Hey that brand is not available online but WD-40 makes a silicon lube as well.
Thanks man 💪💪💪
really good video. thank you.
It can also meen dry balljoints.
How long before squeak stopped?
thank you brother.thanks thanks thanks.
I live in Baltimore Maryland and I'm trying to find that particular silicone lube spray do you have a website that I can get to because the links that you have listed does not show the product that you are trying to show
Hey, the brand in the vid is only from a local store but any silicone lube brand will do. Best of luck!
Definitely a good upper body workout if nothing else.
Daniel Kon I love you! I finally brought my W221 out of it's winter hibernation and it squeaked like a horny Asian student. $5 CAD down on the silicon lube, vigorous spraying then leaving it for a couple of days and bingo, no more squeaks. I'm 100% sure if I took it to the dealership it would have been hundreds of dollars spent. Thanks man! Keep the Mercedes videos going, they are great!!
Happy to hear it!
I just did this on my Tesla Model X, the front was squeaking, and I sprayed it on everything that was connected by a rubber bushing to another part, and most of it went away immediately! I will wait a couple days to see if it goes away totally, but if it doesn't yet, I'll give it another helping of the spray!
Thanks so much for this video!!!
Sending my thanks from Calgary, Alberta!
How is it now.
@@bobmurphy1142 squeaking again even after 3 helpings of the stuff. :-( I have a service centre appointment tomorrow. I'll just pay to get it fixed.
@@AriellXavierArevalo prob didn't hit the area that was squeaking
Thanks men help me a lot 👍
My Mercedes S430 makes that sound on the passenger side I didn't know it was so easy. but I do that to mine is the same as yours
Sure it wasn't your passenger? It usually is with me :)
So spray it every how many months ?
Gonna try this on my MKZ .
Works well
Nice video and car thanks
Gracias
Will Blaster silicone lubricant work as well? Seems to be easier to find.
EXCELLENT. BRAVO!
is this the same stuff at wd-40
It was left when you open the hood, to spray the top of the shock absorber
I have a Nissan Navara with the same squeaks. I lubricated all suspension parts in video but still cannot get rid of that noise ! Help
I've got this sound and my control arms are new. Pissing me off to no end.
SAME so pissed spent tons of money on other things too but I’m going to do this today. Can’t take it anymore
@@katherinedavar7204 whats the result?
Hello.I have the same noise from front right in car 8 years old..I will try silicone spray...
My Ssanyong Actyon 2012 have this same squeaking sounds especially going over a bump, the problem is, the sounds only appears after the car moving in rain, when it's dry the squeaky sounds is gone... Any idea anyone? What's the problem?
Thank you So much
When I change my oil at 5000 miles , while on a mechanics lift . I liberally spray 303 Protectant on all rubber and plastic components underneath . It has been said to spray the silicone into a styrofoam cup . If it starts bubbling up , it was the negative effect of the propellent . Then to use a silicone spray that won't have that effect . Because if it does the propellent will degrade the rubber over time .
def helps.
I need to know what website u we’re on for those diagrams lol
Instead of replacing an entire suspension arm, you can just buy the bushings and ball joints then take the arm off and the it and the bushing to a shop that will press the new ones in for you. I'd guarantee you for that $500 arm, doing this probably would've been $100 or less including the shop labor.
Also to diagnosis where the squeak is coming from, you can spray them with water which will stop the squeak for a bit which will allow you to confirm which bushing is squeaking instead of having to fire the parts cannon.
Only buy silicon bushings ignore the rubber ones. Then you will never have to change them again.

"i'm feeling pretty clever right now" - takes car to shop to get fixed.
Bill Gates.got.ripped what a username 🦠
If you spray a ball joint to shut it up make sure you check it for play because it may seperate if worn too much.
the ball-joint can do all it wants to... as long as it's in silence 🙂
this nagging noise when the BJ has prematurely dried out is purposely built as a warning (much like on the brake pads without a dash-light sensor).
The 2 links to the stabilizer-bar are super cheap and go bad extra quickly in Benz
I try and it works
Good stuff… 🙌🏽
Will this work if my squeaky part is the rear seat spring?
Giggity!
How long until squeak stops completely I sprayed mine on s550 two days ago not squeaking as bad anymore tho. Can you still drive or do you have to let it sit?
spray again
wait
cross your fingers
Ok for sure
you are awesome - wonder what they charge to put the car on the lift? $75??
What auto parts store did u get the can from
amazon link below :)
Does dirt stick to all the rubber and bushings and cake up with dirt and debris?
It gets absorbed quick.
this guy is hilarious
WOW ! Thanks
My w221 is making the exact same noise. I bought the car 2 weeks ago. I know they lubed it up real good then sold it to me🤷♂️
I have the w221 as well, its doing the same squeak. Did this solve your problem for good or sound came back? Im a bit worried if its safe to spray as i also heard it could wash away any parts that have grease in it
Where can I find diagrams/drawings of my car's components such as show in this video?
the google. ex. 2003 mercedes s430 suspension diagram
I got that same damn squeak on the left side and yes do not use WD40 it washes right off after the first rain storm.
The boy just discovered that lubricating suspension is good like butter on bread. 😂
Thank you, funny video
thanks
would a good penetrating oil work as well
Rondo Schiavoni Not necessarily - it would be corrosive to the rubber - silicone bonds safely
Your The 🐐
Make sure it's a silicone spray, never use regular wd-40 on any bushings or rubber fittings.
What about white lithium grease?
from the face it it doesn't have rockchips and the paint is nice color and shines like new
and when you have an special class you have to do what you have to do to keep it like new
do a comparison your w220 and w222, and no car looks good up close if you haven't compound and polish
You drove from Ontario to California just for that?
