A lot of people said we wouldn’t win this game. But they based their assumptions off of the Sam Houston game where our #2 & 3 RB’s were hurt, #1 Vahn continues to be out since the Buffalo game.
Up until this game Jacksonville State has been more physical, but Liberty won the physical battle tonight.

Quinton Cooley played a great game as he carried the ball 28 for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jacksonville State lost their star quarterback and running back to injuries as Liberty beat Jacksonville State at home. Liberty has continued to play on their potential as they remained undefeated this season. Go Liberty Flames!!!
I think their star RB came back late in the game for Jax State. Truth is Malik Jackson had 6 carries for 19 yards pre injury, so he wasn't lighting it up. Anwar Lewis was better, with 15 carries 81 yards.

if they stayed independent they’d have a tougher schedule and a better argument. I personally think they did a disservice/downgrade by having joining C-USA automatically because only WKU, Buffalo, and at times ODU will have good rosters. but it was a business decision and it’ll do them good in the future

Liberty wanted in the Sunbelt but were denied by the member schools. This has happened more than once to the Flames. It’s called discrimination.

I was at the game. Jax State gave them a good fight until halftime. We've got a great coach at Auburn thanks to Liberty. So I'm happy about that, but wish Jax State could've gotten a win here. Liberty is a great team.

Halfway there! The next three games are going to be the most challenging for Liberty, though. Take it one at a time. This is when they'll really be tested, but they are favored in every game the rest of the way. In most of them, they're favored considerably.
By my math, LU has around a 20% chance of staying undefeated the rest of the way. Every win you can put in the bag really helps a lot, though. Next game, Middle Tennessee. Then the big one against Western Kentucky.
