How fun to find these tutorials ! And to find someone who likes makeup as much as I do. I did a self makeup lesson in Cosmetology school , 40 years ago. I am 63 and thought of giving up on keeping makeup on. But after watching, I have changed my mind

This is one of my favorite foundations along with the new Catrice True Skin hydrating foundation which is newer. I love them both and I get a higher coverage.
I use the temptalia website to match foundation and it did a perfect job for this foundation. I find this to be great pigmented coverage with such a lightweight feel. Sponge always sheers it a bit. Just love it!

@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy I thought I got the idea from you about a month ago?. the Rose Primer is very moisturizing but soaks in nicely.
Just a tip with that foundation, you have to shake it well before applying ❤️ it’s really a medium and can be built to full I promise. Its very pigmented but to get that you absolutely have to shake it.

I mix the Catrice Foundation with my Missha Waterproof sunscreen and it makes a lovely tinted moisturizer look. I agree the foundation is just too flat matte and chalky otherwise. Lovely look.

Oh my goodness, so much work to just maintain ourselves, LOL. I just this week bought a different Catrice foundation -- True Skin Hydrating Foundation in 010 Cool Cashmere. It hasn't arrived yet, so I can't say how it is. I have high hopes. I guess I need to invest in even better concealer. I have a drawer full of them but none are perfect. I resort to anything that comes to the top of the pile. I need a pouncing brush like yours (again, drawers full of brushes but not one quite like that). Love the finished look, Jill. I trust your expertise on all this.

Hi Jill! Since you’re an aesthetician could you please tell me--what can one expect to pay for a skin peel and would you recommend it for mature skin? Also- I’ve never seen Catrice. Who carries it?
Hi Joyce! That is a conversation that would be more involved than what I could do here. ;) A good esthetician will be able to help you choose what would be best for your skin. Prices wildly vary depending on location and SO many other factors. You can find Catrice at Ulta and possibly Sephora? All links are provided below the video~

I put eye shadow on before foundation so I can clean up any fall out, etc. Any reason to apply eye shadow after face is all done?
I prefer doing it after. ;) It is just a preference really. It's the way I have always done it, and have learned ways to avoid a lot of fallout. I also prefer putting my concealer on before my eye makeup. My foundation isn't effected anyway. ;)
Is there really any benefit to using a eye shadow primer vs using foundation/concealer? What is the difference? I love your videos! I’m going to be 63 on the 19th. Your videos are very thorough and relatable!
Hi Joyce! I find that with my 'older' eye tissue...primers for that area tend to make it so much more difficult to blend my eyeshadow. I also have never had oily eyelids (which may be a legit reason to use one). I tend to use my concealer a bit as my primer to even out the purpling or veining that a tinted primer would be used for.

Ok I'm back! This was an excellent video. Enjoyed so much. Love your colorful dress. Very pretty eye look you created. Catrice is so awesomely affordable! I like the brand, and have the foundation and other cosmetics. I don't have any of the eyeshadow palettes. Now I want to try them and the ELF sponges. Oh I also should get the Too Faced concealer. Anything to help my mature skin. Lol! You think if we get the catrice powder but in the translucent ..then it won't be chalky? 🤔 I don't want that to happen to me if I get the powder.

I haven't used it long enough to say one way or the other. I have been experimenting using it with other foundations....and I am still on the fence with it. I absolutely dislike how it looks under my eyes as a setting powder over concealer I can definitively put that out there.
How long does the Two Face concealor last? Just wondering if you have to reapply?
Hi Melissa! I don't reapply....but I tend not to 'touch' up through the day in general. I do sometimes have to wipe away what may have managed to get down under my eye. If I set fairly heavy...I have better luck, but I don't like the look as much. As for the concealer itself...I think if it's set it'll stay longer like any concealer. It doesn't settle in my crepeyness though...that's not always the case with others I have tried. If you like a lighter coverage...BareMinerals serum concealer is amazing!! It is also a favorite of mine.

How often do you wash your sponges?
Not nearly as often as I should. ;). I think once a week is what I shoot for, but in all honesty it's more likely once every 4-6 weeks which is awful. :/ I do have a few sponges I rotate in, and throw them away after like 3 washings.

I am 50 and my skin is so extremely oily. If I use and skincare under my foundation my skin gets even more oily. I’ve tried so many primers, concealers and moisturizer’s. Nothing seems to work on my oily skin.
I think there is an underlying reason why your skin is oily. Figuring that out needs to be first priority. 😉
I think it’s hereditary. All of my aunts and my dad have extremely oily skin.
I have that problem. Try letting them dry down a bit more, and finding a good oil absorbing primer can make alot of difference also.. Good luck
